Lula Mae Arnold
1928-2005
GLEASON - Lula Mae Arnold, 77, died Sunday, November 13, at McKenzie Health Care. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 15, at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel in Gleason with Rev. Don Bullock and Rev. Mike Jeffers officiating.
Burial followed in New Valley cemetery. Mrs. Arnold was a Weakley County Title 20 Homemaker and member of New Valley Methodist Church. She was born April 13, 1928, in Gleason, to the late David and Ora (Perry) Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hershal Arnold.
She is survived by three daughters:, Bonnie Bullock of Dresden, Connie Beasley of McKenzie, and Kim Hearberlin of Nolansville; a brother, Robert Anderson of Gleason; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Talmadge Ward Arnold
1910-2005
McKENZIE - Talmadge Ward Arnold, 95, died Friday, November 18, at Oak Manor Nursing Care Center. Services were conducted November 20 at Brummitt Funeral Home with interment icon in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Arnold was born June 18, 1910, in McKenzie to the late Hattie Collier Arnold and James A. Arnold. He was a baker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Sparks Arnold.
He is survived by one son, Andrew Arnold of Westport; and three grandchildren.

Charles Mansfield Townsend
1942-2005
HUNTINGDON - Charles Mansfield Townsend, 63, died Tuesday, November 15, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted November 17 in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Stapleton officiating. Interment icon followed in New Crossroads cemetery.
Mr. Townsend was born January 18, 1942, in Benton County, to the late Charles Harold Townsend and Verdie (Hollowell) Townsend. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Nell Townsend. He was a retired truck driver and was Baptist by faith.
He is survived by one daughter, Anita McCartney and one son, Tony Mansfield Towsend, both of Pellman, Alabama; and two sisters, Carolyn Sanders and Lorelle Smothers, both of Huntingdon; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Louis Marshall Boane
1928-2005
GLEASON - Services for Louis Marshall Boane, 76, were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12 at Gallimore Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Copeland officiating. Burial was in Hopewell cemetery.
Mr. Boane, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, March 8, at McKenzie Health Care Center.
He was born July 28, 1928, in Gleason to the late Jodie and Alice Leaver Boane. He was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Boane; a son, W.L. Boane of Gleason; two daughters, Linda Mayberry of McKenzie and Lois Jones of Greenfield; and a half-brother, Houston Boane of Gleason.
He was preceded in death by a brother, G.W. Boane.

Ruth Fortenberry Bonds
1915-2005
BRUCETON - Services for Ruth Fortenberry Bonds, 89, were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Mike Melton officiating. The Order of Eastern Star rites were conducted after the service. Burial was in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Bonds, a retired seamstress, died Saturday, March 26, at Life Care in Bruceton.
She was born June 4, 1915 in Lawrence County, Mississippi to the late Carl Esco Fortenberry and Rhonda Elvina Stringer Fortenberry. She was a member of the Bruceton First United Methodist Church and Bruceton Order of the Eastern Start, Adah Chapter #314.
Survivors include her spouse, Ford Bonds; two daughters, Faye Cole of Oroville, Washington and Barbara Ruth Duke of Bruceton; a son, Richard Bonds of Terre Haute, Indiana; a sister, Arboree Mansfield of New Hebron, Mississippi; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Gladys Virginia Rash
1920-2004
McKENZIE - Memorial services for Gladys Virginia Rash, 84, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Rash died Monday, March 21, at her residence. The body was cremated. There was no immediate service. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Rash was born October 9, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Jack Winter and Genevieve Lourilla Engle Winter. Se was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus and participated in various charity organizations.
Survivors include six sons, Roy Lee Rash, Howard Rash, David Rash, and Stephen Gerard Rash, all of McKenzie, Howard Andrew Rash of Clarksville and Edward Wayne Rash of Aberdeen, Maryland; four daughters, Mary Jane Russell of Dover, Judith Ann Fortune of West Des Moines, Iowa, Marian Elizabeth Turner of Clarksville and Joanne Marie Davis of Cunningham; two sisters, Mirian Elizabeth Farber of Dundalk, Maryland and Ellen Elizabeth Heller of Boynton Beach, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Alex Rash and a brother, Robert Francis Rogers.

Rebecca Denise 'Becky' Harris
1963-2004
HUNTINGDON - Services for Rebecca Denise 'Becky' Harris, 41, were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, at the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Thomas Parker officiating. Interment icon followed in Humbles cemetery.
Mrs. Harris died on Thursday, March 24 at Jackson-Madison County Hospital.
Survivors include four brothers, James Harris, Alfunzo Harris, Arthur Wayne Harris and Perry L. Harris, and three sisters, Stephanie Harris, Mona A. Harris and Yvonne Hartshaw.

Thomas Phillip "Buddy" Rorer
1943-2005
McKENZIE - Services for Thomas Phillip "Buddy" Rorer, 61, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, at Gallimore Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Nation officiating. A service will also be held at Mexico Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery in Mexico, Kentucky.
Mr. Rorer died Sunday, January 2, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
He was born July 12, 1943 in Fredonia, Kentucky, to the late Henry Leonard and Anna Ruth Gilland Rorer.
Survivors include two sons: Phillip Rorer and David (Kristy) Rorer, both of McKenzie; four brothers: Doug Rorer of DeSoto, Missouri; Robert Deboe of Mexico, Kentucky; Kenneth Deboe of Lake Station, Indiana; and Don Deboe of Marion, Kentucky; two sisters: Phyllis Risner of Mexico, Kentucky, and Pauline Lee of Eddyville, Kentucky; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Ed Deboe.

James Donald Langley
1945-2005
McKENZIE - Funeral services for James Donald Langley, 59, will be Wednesday, January 5, at 3:30 p.m. in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. The family will receive friends at McKenzie Funeral Home Tuesday night, January 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Langley, disabled, died Sunday night, January 2, at his residence in McKenzie. He was born in Milan on November 25, 1945 to the late James Monroe Langley and Cora Ailene Horton Langley. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Nettie Hahn Langley, of McKenzie; two step-daughters, Lori Hughes of Hackensack, New Jersey, and Michelle Emertt of Atwood; three step-sons, Jerry Hughes of McKenzie, Christopher Hughes of Medford, Wisconsin, and Bruce Heater of McKenzie; and 23 step-grandchildren.

Bertha Akers Martin
1920-2003
McKENZIE - Services for Bertha Akers Martin, 83, were at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26 at the First Presbyterian Church USA in McKenzie with Dr. Howard Walton officiating. Burial was in the Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Martin, retired from Wilker Brothers, Mfg., died Wednesday, April 23 at McKenzie Health Care Center.
She was born February 21, 1920 in McKenzie, daughter of the late Alma Williams Akers and Lonnie Akers. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church USA in McKenzie.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Martin of McKenzie and Patsy (Eddie) Lopez of Jurica, Mexico; a bother, Lonnie Akers, Jr. of Huntingdon; three sisters, Ann Cook of Huntingdon, Fannie Murphy of Dickson and Linda Climer of Regan, an aunt, Maxie Presson of McKenzie and one grandchild, Trinity Lopez of Chesapeake, Virginia.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Sissy Bomar
1958-2003
McKENZIE - Sherry Lynn "Sissy" Bomar, 44, died Tuesday, April 22 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville from injuries in a one-vehicle accident south of Henry on Monday, April 21. Services were at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 24 at Apostolic Chapel Church southeast of Paris with Dwight Turner officiating. Burial was in the Henry County Tabernacle cemetery in Springville.
Born August 10, 1958 in Indianapolis, she was a daughter of Carleen Smith Hickman of Paris and Johnny Day of Indianapolis.
She was engaged to Ricky Shands of McKenzie. Ms. Bomar was a homemaker. Additional survivors include two daughters, Shurrus Wilson of Paris and Shanda Wilson of Henry; one sister, Patty Wolfe of Mooresville, Indiana; two brothers, Tommy Hickman of Paris and Terry Day of Bruceton; a grandmother, Ivaleen Smith of Paris and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Hickman and her grandfather, Carman E. Smith.

John R. Nuszbaum
1937-2003
McKENZIE - John Richard Nuszbaum, 65, died on Saturday, April 19 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. His body was donated to science.
A memorial service was held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23 at Foundry Hill Community of Christ Church near Puryear where he was a member.
Born December 20, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Pauline Nuszbaum.
He retired as a truck driver with Milan Express.
In addition to his wife, Carol, he leaves two daughters, Sandy Marie Krekemeyer of Norman, Oklahoma and Erica Sandoval of McKenzie; two sister, Irene Ayers of Waynesboro and Ivajean Heckert of Salem, Indiana, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
