Barbara Ann Odle Roberson
1944-2003
HUNTINGDON - Services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Odle Roberson, 59, were on Monday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church in McKenzie with Minister Valorie Ragland officiating. Interment icon followed at Mt. Olive cemetery in Atwood.
Mrs. Roberson died on Friday, July 25 at Huntingdon Health and Rehab Center in Huntingdon.
She was born on April 2, 1944 in Linden to the late Clara Odle.
Survivors include one daughter, Andrea Anders of Atwood; one son, Derrick Adams of Atwood; and four grandchildren.
Trinity Funeral Home in Paris was in charge of the arrangements.

Henry David Moss
1928-2003
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Henry David Moss, 74, died on Sunday, July 27 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, July 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Vincent LaPlanca officiating. Interment icon followed in the Hampton cemetery.
Mr. Moss was born on November 14, 1928 in Hardin County to the late Robert Hardy and Emma Lou Walls Moss. He was a retired painter and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Two brothers, Robert Moss and Arthur Moss also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae Newell Moss; three daughters, Judy Mae Sanford and Carolyn Gilley, both of Huntingdon and Tammy Gibson of Atwood; two sons, David Wayne Moss of Jackson and Paul Moss of Huntingdon; two brothers, Joe Thomas Moss of Humboldt and William Hugh Moss of Bradford; nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Damon Devon Hines
1916-2003
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Damon Devon Hines, 86, died on Wednesday, July 23 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Clubb and Walter Butler officiating. Interment icon followed in the Liberty All cemetery.
Mr. Hines was born on December 10, 1916 to Henry and Kate Hines in Medaryville, Indiana. He lived in North Judson, Indiana until he left to serve in World War II. He was a member of the U.S. Army band and later served in the Rainbow Division infantry and was on the front line at the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
While stationed at Camp Tyson, he met and married Lucy Butler on May 3, 1944. Mr. Butler worked for 'The South Bend Tribune' and 'The Jackson Sun' and was director of the Carroll County American Bridge Contract League.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years and one daughter, Kathy Hines of Huntingdon.

Mercedes Becerra
1961-2003
McKENZIE - Mrs. Mercedes Becerra, 41, died on Tuesday, July 22 at her home. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 24 at 4:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Ed Fisher officiating. Interment icon followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Becerra was born on November 12, 1961 in Guadalajara. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Prudencio Becerra and her parents, Salvador and Francisca Urenda Hernandez.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Rita Pritchard
1941-2003
McLEMORESVILLE - Mrs. Rita Pritchard, 62, died on Monday, July 21 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 24 at 1:00 p.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lynn Stapleton and Buddy Chandler officiating.
Mrs. Pritchard, the daughter of the late Rufus and Geneva Pharis Griffis, was born on May 12, 1941 in Screven, Georgia. She was a member of the McLemoresville Baptist Church and an employee of Henry I. Siegel. A sister, Elenor Griffis also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Dannie Pritchard; a son, Danny 'Bubba' Pritchard, Jr. of Huntingdon; two daughters, Tammy Pritchard of McLemoresville and Geneva Rumley of Huntingdon; a brother, Rufus Griffis of Macon, Georgia; a sister, Marvalene Boyd of Macon, Georgis and four grandchildren.

James Marvin Reeder
1913-2003
McKENZIE - James Marvin Reeder, 89, died on Friday, July 25 at the Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, at the Obion County Memorial Gardens in Union City with Rev. Fred Thomas officiating.
Mr. Reeder, a tool and die worker, was the son of the late James Ethan Reeder and Vennie Pearl McMillan Reeder. He was born on December 20, 1913 in Weakley County. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Sublett Reeder and three sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by one sister, Mary Nell Hardy of Plymouth, Michigan.
White-Ranson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Carol Ann Scruggs
1957 - 2003
McKENZIE - Carol Ann Scruggs, 46, of McKenzie, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services for Ms. Scruggs were held Thursday, July 24, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial followed in Hopewell cemetery in Atwood. Rev. Alan Trull officiated the services.
Ms. Scruggs was a LPN at McKenzie Health Care, as well as a member of the Henry United Methodist Church. She was born June 27, 1957 in Milan to the late Carl Connell and Geneva Connell.

Sheila Nolen King
McKENZIE - Sheila Nannette Nolen King, 37, died of respiratory complications on Friday, March 8 at Jackson-Madison County General hospital. Her funeral was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16 at Greater Enon Baptist Church in McKenzie, where she was a member, with the Rev. James H. Stewart officiating. Burial was in Mount Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Born January 30, 1965 in McKenzie, she was the daughter of Erma Lee Allen Nolen of McKenzie and the late Archie Nolen. She was a factory worker.
Survivors also include two brothers, John Archie Nolen and George H. Nolen, Sr. of McKenzie; five sisters, Velma Caster and Linda B. Nolen, both of McKenzie, Mary Ann Dalton and Linda C. Clinton, both of Gary, Indiana and Tammie R. House of St. Louis and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Reva Elwanda Garrett
GLEASON - Services for Reva Elwanda Garrett, 80, were Thursday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Thomas officiating. Burial was at New Hope cemetery.
Mrs. Garrett, widow of James Wilbert Garrett, died Wednesday, March 13 at her home.
She was born January 7, 1922 in Sidenia to the late Elmer and Estelle Lee Morgan. She was a member of Tumbling Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Brawner Turner and Suzanne Lampkins, both of Gleason; a sister, Tina Sue Wiley of Sharon; three grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

David Louis Grace
BRUCETON - Services for David Louis Grace, 52, were Friday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Jackson officiating. Burial was in New Prospect cemetery.
Mr. Grace died Tuesday, March 12 at his home.
He was born February 7, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to the late Walter Emerson Grace and Lucy Pita Cavieto Grace. He was a veteran and a member of Professional Bowlers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria McAllister Grace; three sons, Michael Lee Grace, Sr. of Bruceton, Patrick Shawn Grace of League City, Texas and Christopher Troy Grace of Paris, Texas; two brothers, Walter Grace of Houston, Texas and Edward Grace of Midwest, Texas and eight grandchildren.

Charles Larry Fuzzell
McKENZIE - Services for Charles Larry Fuzzell, 66, were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Bryant officiating. Burial was in Caledonia cemetery.
Mr. Fuzzell, retired from Goodyear, died Saturday, March 16 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
He was born January 14, 1936 in McKenzie to the late Rachel Reese Fuzzell and Homer Fuzzell.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Jean Fuzzell; two daughters, Rhonda Jean Houston and Gina Kaye Harper, both of McKenzie; two sisters, Joann Rainey of McKenzie and Charlene Wade of Charleston, South Carolina and four grandchildren.

Robert Donald McClure
SARASOTA, FLORIDA - Robert Donald McClure, 64, died March 15 after a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn McClure and two daughters, Carrie Sylvester of Pasadena, Maryland and Connie Mielke of Evansville, Indiana; one grandson and two granddaughters.
Donald was the son of the late Bob McClure and Pearl Denen McClure and grew up in McKenzie. He was a graduate of McKenzie High School and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
After a tour of duty with the U.S. Air Force, he spent his working years with Hewlett-Packard and recently retired to make his home in Sarasota.
He is the cousin of Frances Featherstone.

Joe Eb King
NASHVILLE - Mr. Joe Eb King, 45, died Tuesday, March 12 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, March 15 at Brummitt Funeral Home. Interment icon followed at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. King was born June 28, 1956 to Jerry King, Sr. and the late Darrell Powell King of McKenzie. Joe had worked as a wildlife officer with the TWRA.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelsey King of Columbia; a sister, Jan King of Camden and two brothers, Jerry King, Jr. and Jimmy King, both of McKenzie.

Williard Rumley VanCleave
HILLIARD, OHIO: Willard Rumley VanCleave, 83, passed away peacefully on March 3 at Mill Run Gardens and Care Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 9 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home. Interment icon was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
She was born February 11, 1919 in Huntingdon, the daughter of Ernest Rumley and Fannie Allen, both deceased. Her husband of 55 years, Walter VanCleave, Sr., brothers Barney and Clyde Rumley and sisters Gladys Pickett and Kathleen Peach also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Walter VanCleave and Robert VanCleave; one daughter, Diane Whicker; and three sisters, Dorothy White, Earlene Foust and Lucille Brannen and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Heart Association.
