Katherine Renee Gentry
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Katherine Renee Gentry, 23, died Sunday, April 7 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, April 9 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Pickford officiating. Interment icon followed in the Twin Oaks cemetery.
Mrs. Gentry was born February 17, 1979 in Madison. She was a member of the Chickasaw Drive Church of Christ and a teacher for the Huntingdon Head Start. Her paternal grandfather, R. H. Driver and maternal grandfather, Othel Gateley, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Jason Gentry, whom she married on July 10, 1999; her parents, George and Teresa Gateley Driver of Madison; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Driver of Lafayette; maternal grandmother, Audrey Gateley of Huntingdon and one sister, Tracy Driver of Madison.

Helen Grey Lawrence
TRENTON: Services for Helen Grey Lawrence, 72, were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3 at Gallimore Funeral Home in Gleason with Bro. Phillip Norris officiating. Burial was in Hopewell cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence, formerly of Gleason, died Monday, April 1 at Gibson County General Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1929 in Gleason to the late Overton and Valda Terrell Duke. She was a member of the Trenton First United Pentecostal Church. She was the widow of Thomas R. Lawrence.
There were no immediate survivors.

Paul Emile Leger
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Paul Emile Leger, 90, died Friday, April 5 at the Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service was conducted on Monday, April 8 at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Ed Fisher officiating.
Mr. Leger was born December 23, 1911 in Montreal Quebec, Canada to the late Napoleon and Florestine Cyr Leger. One daughter, Elizabeth Leger, preceded him in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Florine Collins of Ogden, Utah, Patricia Cunningham and Antoinette Stokes, both of Huntingdon; one son, Ned Leger of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, Des Niege Lafortune of Montreal Quebec; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Irene Phelps Taylor
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Irene Phelps Taylor, 78, died Saturday, April 6 at her home. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mixie Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Abbott officiating. Interment icon followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 30, 1923 in Wildersville to the late Joseph Bomar and Issa Earah Todd Phelps. She was a member of the Mixie Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired factory worker for Henry I. Siegel Company. Her husband of 49 years, F. A. Taylor, who died in 1996, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include eight children, Ruth Ann Kee of McKenzie, Barbara Wilson of Mayfield, Kentucky, Linda Joy Taylor of Huntingdon, Barry A. Taylor of Hollow Rock, Kathy Newman Reynolds of McKenzie, Wanda McMackins of Bruceton, Lynn Milam and Tony Taylor, both of Huntingdon; two sisters, Vonell Bolen of Wildersville and Ruth Essary of Jackson; nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the services.

Herman Cash, Jr.
ATWOOD - Funeral services for Herman Cash, Jr., 72, were at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 7 in the Lawrence Sorensen Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson and were officiated by Rev. John Ross. Interment icon followed in Antioch cemetery in Madison County with Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home of Medina in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cash died Friday, April 5 at his home in Atwood.
He was born in Gibson County, the son of the late Herman Luther and Mary Ellen Goodrich Cash, Sr. Mr. Cash retired in 1992 from Consolidated Aluminum Corporation but continued to work for Murray Guard and was assigned to the DeVilbiss Corporation in Jackson until illness forced him to stop. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Eulene Woodard Cash of Atwood; two sons, Gerry Cash of Jackson and Ronnie Cash of McLemoresville; a sister, Rita Coody of Threeway; a brother, Bobby Cash of Milan; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

James Lester Pryor
McKENZIE - Services for James Lester Pryor were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Mann officiating. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Pryor died April 2 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was born February 23, 1923 in McKenzie to the late Lucy Webb Pryor and Guy D. Pryor. He was a member of the Concord Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
A sister, Betty Barker and a brother, G. W. Pryor, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Grace "Brownie" Pryor; two sons, Phillip Pryor and Jerry Pryor, both of McKenzie; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Lester Winfield Flowers
YUMA - Services for Lester Winfield Flowers, 92, were at 4:00 p.m. in the Pafford Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Duke cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Flowers; a son, Charles Flowers of Wildersville; four daughters, Dean Mullins, Evelyn McPeake and Shirley Singleton, all of Lexington and Brenda Throgmorton of Clarksburg; two sisters, Nola Wallace and Mavine Hayes, both of Lexington; two brothers, Howell Flowers of Flint, Michigan and Paul Flowers of Lexington; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Lucille Cantrell Holt
McKENZIE - Services for Lucille Cantrell Holt, 88, were at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at Brummitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Capter officiating. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemtery.
Mrs. Holt, widow of Graves J. Holt, died Saturday, March 30 at Lakeside Retirement Center in McKenzie.
Survivors include a son, Don (Shirley) Holt of Nashville;a granddaughter, Mrs. Lee (Eric) Robinson of Nashville; and two great-grandchildren, Brandon Robinson and John Robinson of Nashville.

Paul Harold Arnold
BRUCETON - Services for Paul Harold Arnold, 84, were Saturday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Bruceton First Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Bradshaw and Leon Edwards officiating. Burial was in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock. Masonic Rites were Friday, March 29 at the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Arnold, retired pipe fitter/sheet metalworker for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, died Thursday, March 28 at Life Care Center in Bruceton.
He was born July 2, 1917 in Hollow Rock to the late Porter Manuel Arnold and Bertha Mae Dickerson Arnold. He was a member of the Bruceton First Baptist Church, a World War II army veteran and a 54-year member of Woodlawn Masonic Lodge #211 in Memphis.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jeffers of Huntingdon; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

James Mattox
McKENZIE - Services for James Mattox, 80, were Saturday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home with the Reverend Ron Harber officiating. Burial was in Hopewell cemetery in Medina.
Mr. Mattox, a retired farmer, died Thursday, March 28 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
He was born October 31, 1912 in Chester County to the late Irene Mattox Hesseltine and Dave Mattox. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and a World War II coast guard veteran.
Survivors include his wife Beula Mattox; two daughters, Sandra Johnson of Lexington and Barbara Hayes of McKenzie; three sons, Mike Mattox of McKenzie, Warren Welch of Florida and Jimmy Mattox of California; one sister, Dora Patrick of Arkansas; and four brothers, J. D. Mattox of Memphis, Hiluard Mattox of Missouri, Franklin Mattox of Florida, and David Mattox of Tennessee; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Ruth Mattox and a brother, Claude Mattox.

Euva A.Therrell
CLARKSBURG - Ms. Euva A. Therrell, 97, died Monday, March 25 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, March 28 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Fred Ward and Brother Ray Smith officiating. Interment icon followed at Blair cemetery.
Ms. Therrell was born December 17, 1904 in Lynn-Grove, Kentucky to the late James Thomas and Bertha Watson Arnett. She was a school teacher at Clarksburg and a member of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Therrell, who died in 1992; four brothers, Crawford Arnett, Cromer Arnett, O. T. Arnett and Cord Arnett; one sister, Bura Hart and three infants at birth.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Therrell; one brother, Watson Arnett of Ohio; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jurdon Owens
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Jurdon Owens, 83, died Tuesday, March 26 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, March 29 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. David McCraney officiating. Interment icon followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Owens was born May 19, 1918 in Yuma to the late Ben and Susie Bomar Owens. He was a farmer and a World War II army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Armolia Johnson Owens and several nieces and nephews.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Velma McMackins Smith
ATWOOD - Services for Mrs. Velma McMackins Smith, 88, were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 30 at the Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with burial in the Howse Baptist Church cemetery near Atwood.
Mrs. Smith, a homemaker, died Thursday, March 28, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntingdon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lester Smith.
Surviving are five sons, Howard Smith of Atwood, Doyle Smith of Camden, Steve Smith of Cedar Grove, Jackie Smith of St. Louis, Missouri and Paul Smith of Paris; eight daughters, Cathleen Ward, Bobbie Helen Powers and Julia Lawrence, all of Atwood, Anita Reynolds of St. Louis, Missouri, Janice Esposito of Roselle Park, New Jersey, Dianne Brown of Milan and Sharon Smith and Debbie Thompson, both of McKenzie; one sister, Alice Wheeler of Milan; forty-eight grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Roy Bailey Spray
WESTPORT: Mr. Roy Bailey Spray, 65, died Wednesdy, March 27 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, March 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Meadows officiating. Interment icon followed in the Jamison cemetery.
Mr. Spray was born September 26, 1936 in Tipton County to the late Walter and Clara Mae Scurlock Spray. He was a member of Rialto Baptist Church and a retired foreman for Tennessee Metal Specialists. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Grayam and one brother, John Spray.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Joyce Smuck Spray; two daughters, Dianne Parr and Dana Whitworth, both of Memphis; two sons, Roy B. Spray of Covington and Anthony Spray of Bartlett; three stepsons, Steven Hilton of Rockford, Illinois, Jerry Mullenix of Davenport, Iowa and Brian Mullenix of Monrovia, California; one stepdaughter, Vickie Hill of Belvedere, Illinois; two brothers, Leonard Spray of Jackson and Ira Spray of Burlison; four sister, Artie Sanders of Brighton, Mary Bridges of Loves Park, Illinois, Shirley Mathis and Ruby Workman, both of Covington; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie Fay Ellis
MELBOURNE, FLORIDA - Mrs. Bonnie Fay Ellis, 66, died Thursday, March 28 at the Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, March 31 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel. with Brother Roger Ellis officiating. Interment icon followed in the New Hope cemetery.
Mrs. Ellis was born January 5, 1936 in Carroll County to the late Erie and Berthie Hicks Mathis. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Lloyd Ellis, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Danny Ellis of Satellite Beach, Florida; one stepson, Roger Ellis of Buena Vista; two sisters, Ruth Singleton of Clarksburg and Earseal Richardson of Jackson; two brothers, Carl Mathis of Jackson and Billy Mathis of Brimfield, Illinois; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
