Funeral services for Mr. Arvel Buddy Fanning, age 80, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oakley Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hammons officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery. Mr. Fanning was a native of Madison Co., AL, son of the late Clyde Emery & Nora Ester Davis Fanning. Along with his parents, Mr. Fanning is preceded in death by 1 brother: J.B. Fanning. Survivors include 2 sisters: Geneva & Rufus Steelman of Flintville, TN, Wanda & Earl Roberts of Estill Springs, TN; 1 sister-in-law: Helen Fanning of New Market, AL; 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and several grand nieces, nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Florence McGee

Funeral services for Mrs. Florence McGee, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, September 11, 2006 in the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Smith and Jack Jean officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McGee was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late William Daniel & Maggie Lee Meeks Sisk, a seamstress, a member of the Harms Church of Christ and she attended Calvary Christian Fellowship Church. She is survived by 1 daughter: Wanda Faye & Rodger Jones of Fayetteville, TN; 3 sons: Joe Wayne & Suzanne McGee, Richard & Jean McGee all of Fayetteville, TN, Michael & Debra McGee of Lisle, IL; 7 grandchildren: Ricky McGee, Keith McGee, Gina McGee Vaughn, Elizabeth Jones Parker, Karen McGee, Brent McGee, Christopher McGee; 1 sister: Betty Burton of Fayetteville, TN and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4205 Hillsboro Rd., Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37215.

Mrs. Elaine Monks Partin

Funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Monks Partin, age 78, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 at the Southern TN Medical Center Skilled Care, will be conducted Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Partin was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late David Owen & Molly Kerbo Monks, retired from Wal-Mart, was a member of the First Baptist Church, loved working with flowers and sewing. Along with her parents, Mrs. Partin was preceded in death by 1 son: Terry Partin, 2 sisters: Margaret O. Ray, Aliene Smith and 2 brothers: Clay Monks & Lester Monks. She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Marvin E. Partin of Fayetteville, TN; 2 daughters: Mary Nan Lehr of Harvest, AL, Donna Kay Spray of Winchester, TN; 1 son: Charles E. Partin of Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren: Teresa Partin, Rusty Spray, Brooke Spray, Tommy Partin, Tim Partin, Stacy Partin and 1 great grandchild: Madison Taylor. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ruth L. Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth L. Brown, age 70, of Taft, TN, who passed away Monday, September 25, 2006, at her residence, will be conducted Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Parks officiating. Burial will follow in New Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Brown was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Thomas Houston & Bessie Cowan Vaughn, a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. She is survived by her husband: Willie L. Brown of Taft, TN; 4 daughters: Jennie Ruth Mearse of Fayetteville, TN, Barbara Kay Taylor, Joan Beddingfield both of Flintville, TN, Sally Lee Taylor of Taft, TN; 1 sister: Margaret Doudy of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; 2 brothers: Fred Vaughn of Lake City, FL and Wayne Vaughn of Tanner, AL; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Jacob Trenity Smith

Funeral services for Jacob Trenity Smith, infant son of Trenity & Tricia Smith, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 at the Hillside Medical Center in Pulaski, TN, will be conducted Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. graveside in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Along with his parents, Jacob was survived by 2 sisters: Elizabeth Nicole Smith, Kayla Brooke Bates; 4 brothers: Justin Cory Bates, Bruce Kyle Bates, Ryan Allan Bates, Trevor Colin Bates all of Fayetteville, TN; maternal grandparents: Bobby Meeks and Brenda Self both of Fayetteville, TN; paternal grandparents: Randall & Gail Smith of Fayetteville, TN; maternal great grandparents: Jessie & Edna Self of Fayetteville, TN and paternal great grandmothers: Mary Waid of Fayetteville, TN and Thelma Milliken of Fayetteville, TN.

Mr. Roy T. Tucker

Funeral services for Mr. Roy T. Tucker, age 74, of Taft, TN, who passed away Friday, September 29, 2006 in the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Sunday, October 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Riddle and Dora Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Mr. Tucker was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Huse & Altie Moore Tucker, he worked on a construction cleaning crew and was a member of the Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Buster & Carleen Tucker and 1 half-brother: Henry Caldwell. Survivors include his daughter: Sandra Lee Williams & husband: Chris of Elora, TN; 1 step-daughter: Robbie L. Mr. Terry Moon

Funeral services for Mr. Terry Moon, age 57, of Elora, TN, who passed away Thursday, October 5, 2006, in the Crestwood Medical Center, will be conducted Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Daulton Warden & Bro. Willard Medley officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Moon was a native of Madison Co., AL, son of the late Oscar & Dolly Hyatt Moon. He was a 20 year, retired Army Master Sergeant veteran of the  Vietnam War. He was a project engineer for United Plating in Huntsville, AL, a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, the American Legion and the V.F.W. Along with his parents, Mr. Moon was preceded in death by 1 sister: Glenda Moon & 1 brother: Larry Moon. Survivors include his wife: Linda Moon of Elora, TN; 4 sisters: Mary Margaret Moon, Faye Malone both of McMinnville, TN, Sylvia Campbell of Thompson, GA, Sue Wilbanks of Fayetteville, TN; 6 brothers: Dexter Moon of Huntsville, AL, Kyle Moon of Hazel Green, AL, Cleo Moon of Flintville, TN, Leo Moon of Fayetteville, TN, Theo Moon & Willie Bob Moon both of New Market, AL. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Carl R. Martin

Funeral services for Mr. Carl R. Martin, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, October 6, 2006, in the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Sunday, October 8, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Joe Wayne McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery. Mr. Martin was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Hugh R. & Nora Norman Martin, a farmer and a member of the Harms Church of Christ. Survivors include 1 granddaughter: Christy & Charlie Davis of Fayetteville, TN; 1 great granddaughter: Ivy Ann Davis; 1 step-great granddaughter: Kelsey Elizabeth Davis and 1 son-in-law: J.N. John B. Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Mr. Thomas was a native of Lauderdale Co., AL, son of the late Cleatus & Lucille Chambers Thomas. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by 1 sister: Sadie Nix and 1 brother: Billy Thomas. He is survived by his wife: Mazie Smith Thomas of Fayetteville, TN; 2 daughters: Paula Alderman of Winter Have, FL, Kim Bumgardner of Fayetteville, TN; 1 son: Stephen Thomas of Winter Have, FL; 3 sisters: Gearadine Nunley of Anderson, AL, Hazelleen Word of Rogersville, AL, Lounette Crunk of Lexington, AL; 2 brothers: James Thomas of Anderson, AL, Jackie Thomas of Elkmont, AL and 7 grandchildren. Mrs. Italia Jones

Funeral services for Mrs. Italia Jones, age 75, of Elora, TN, who passed away Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the Lincoln Skilled Care Center, will be conducted Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky McElyea officiating. Burial will follow in Elora Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born in the community of Santa Teresa Di Riva, Italy to Giovanni Costa and Lucia Malone Costa. She was a housewife and a member of the Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her father: Giovanni Costa; mother: Lucia Malone Costa; brothers: Salvatore Costa, Aldo Costa; sisters: Anna Costa and Margerita Orecchia. Survivors include her husband: Charles E. Jones, U.S. Army retired of Elora, TN; 3 sons: Ronald John & Teresa Jones, U.S. Postal Inspector of Germany, Donald Ray Jones, USAF of Japan, Bobby Joe Jones of Elora, TN; 1 daughter: Sabrina Ann & Chad Bauld of Maryland; 9 grandchildren: Alexander R. Green, Anton X. Jones, Jeremy Jones, Nathan Walden, Austin R. Jones, Savanna A. Jones, Madison E. Bauld, Nathaniel Bauld, Joshua Bauld and 1 sister: Eugenia Costa of Verona, Italy.
