Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Neal Funeral Home with Odell Spears and Larry Spears officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late Hines Aaron and Tennessee Falls Aaron. She was a homemaker and member of the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. Rhinehart.

A prayer service for Mr. Blevins will be conducted Thursday 8 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Mike Dawson and Rick Points officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Out-of State funeral services will be conducted Sunday, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Mountain Home, Arkansas with Reverend David Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Entombment will be held Monday at the private family estate mausoleum at Polk Memorial Gardens.

The Violet Hill, Arkansas native was the son of the late William and Zelma Cooper Blevins of Violet Hill, Arkansas. He was the husband of Juanita Melton Blevins of Columbia, Tennessee. He was founder and owner of Peteís Cleaners for 20 years and also owned and operated Peteís Carpet Cleaning Service in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was a past member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain Home for 53 years where he served as deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Royal Ambassador Leader, Training Union Leader, Sanctuary Choir member, Senior Adult Choir member, and Handbell Choir member. For the past 2 years, he has been a member of the First Baptist church of Columbia, Tennessee in which he was a senior adult choir member. He was leading businessman and was a charter member and past president of the Mountain Home, Arkansas Kiwanis Club. He assisted as a mentor for the Kiwanis Key Club, was honored for 38 years perfect attendance, and was a recipient of Hixson Fellowship Award. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Columbia for several months after moving to Columbia. He participated in Special Olympics events serving as an encourager.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen (Al) Aigner of Columbia; four sons, Arnold (Louise) Blevins of Branson, Mo., Glen (SuElla) Blevins of Sherwood, Ark., Lynn (Carol) Blevins of Mountain Home, Ark., and Alan (Jeannie) Blevins of Columbia; a sister, Vera Bunn of Aurora, Mo.; two brothers, LeRoy Blevins of Neosho, Mo. and Hollis Blevins of Pierce City, Mo.; twelve grandchildren, David Blevins of Kremmling,  Colo., Daniel Blevins of Branson, Mo., Lacy Wilber of Pittsburgh, Pa., Tarina Bodenhammer and Travis Blevins, both of Mountain Home, Ark., Cara Ladd of Jonesboro, Ark., Angela Weaver, Matthew Taylor, and Joel Taylor all of Sherwood, Ark., Lauren Blevins and John Alan Blevins both of Columbia and Tonya Jenkins of Sumpter,  South Carolina; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Veda Pogue; two brothers, Ronald Blevins and Orval Blevins.

Pallbearers will be John Alan Blevins, Travis Blevins, Daniel Blevins, Kevin Bodenhammer, Phillip Ladd, Matthew Taylor, Joel Taylor, and David Blevins. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church and members of the Kiwanis Club both of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Ralph Eubanks, Marion Nelson, Dave Roning and Kathy and Jim Eickman all of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Dr. Craig Lockhart.

PULASKI - Shirley Ann Eubank, 61, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Stella Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Stella Cemetery Fund.

She was the daughter of the late Franklin Thornton and Ann Carroll of Madison. She worked at the Giles County Library.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Terry Eubank of Pulaski; sons, Darryl and Dale Eubank, both of Pulaski; daughter, Dana Hatfield of Pulaski; sister, Gail Eaton of Nashville; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Mr. Mackie Lee Hardison, 78, retired manager of the Packing Department of Georgia Boot Company, employee of the Garden Center at Wal-Mart and resident of Cherry Street, died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Williamson Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Henry Mobley officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery at Culleoka with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1212, Columbia, 38401. The Maury County native was the son of the late Ollie Lee Hardison and Martha Jane Harvey Hardison. He served in the U. S. Armed Forces during Peacetime. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Florine Young Hardison of Columbia; a daughter, Kathy Barnhill of Columbia; two greanddaughters, Kristy Michelle (Anthony) Beal of Dresden and Ayesha Lynn (Davy) Parker of Columbia; four great-grandchildren, Kala Michelle Beal and Anthony Dakota Beal of Dresden, Chasity Lynn Parker and David Benjamin Parker of Columbia; a brother, William (Dot) Hardison of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Harris and Ruth Andrews and two brothers, John Hardison and Elvin Hardison.

Active pallbearers are Dakota Beal, Jeff Moore, Chris Oliver, Freddie Young, Larry Hardison, Billy Hardison, Rick Harris and Gary Hardison.

Honorary pallbearers include associates at Wal-Mart, Dr. Patrick Murphy and Floor Nurses of the Oncology Department at Williamson Medical Center.

ROCKVALE - Sam Cox Farris, 79, of Rockvale, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Baptist Hospital.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Vance King and the Rev. Paul McKee. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Sammie Carlton Farris; a daughter, Nettie Ann (Randy) Throneberry of Shelbyville; a son, William (Billy) Hopkins (Sue) Farris of Rockvale; five grandchildren, Barry Ryan Throneberry, William Hopkins (Jean) Farris, Jr., Margaret Beth Farris, Linda Kelli (Michael) Lamb, Samuel Jerome Farris; two great-grandsons, Alex Christopher Farris and Matthew Cole Farris; brothers, Limuel Fount (Gladys) Farris of Unionville and Robert Ervin (Sara) Farris of Rockvale.

Mr. Farris was a member of the Eagelville Baptist Church as a Deacon for over 50 years. He was a fourth generation owner of Farris Lumber Company for 44 years of 188 years of service. He was a former director of the Eaglevillle Bank, Veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army, Charter member of the Rockvale Ruritan Club. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and community leader. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Betty Jane Farris and his seven brothers.

Memorials in memory of Mr. Farris may be made to the Rockvale Ruritan Club.

Mrs. Sara Katherine Spencer Frazier, 89, Columbia native and widow of Howard Frazier, died Saturday, April 17, 2004 in Marinette, Wis.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Pisgah Cemetery in the Hampshire Community with Rev. Jeff Jacobs officiating. Oakes & Nichols is in charge of arrangements.

She was the daughter of the late Marcus Spencer and Willie Biffle Spencer.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Patrick (Kathleen A.) O'Connell of Traverse City, Michigan; a daughter, Patricia Ann (Dennis) Ziech of Marquette, Michigan; two grandchildren, Patrick O'Connell and Erin O'Connell.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Spencer and Billie Spencer.

He was a native of Fentress County and son of the late Ike Rich. Mrs. Mary Louise Hicks

Mrs. Mary Louise Bowsher Hicks, 79, sister of Harlan Bowsher of Columbia, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, in Whetstone Care Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio. Pastor Glenn Schwerdtfeger will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel.

In addition to her brother, she is survived by her husband, Robert C. Hicks, Sr.; one son, Bob (Cynthia) Hicks, Jr.; one daughter, Carol (Dennis) Kline; and five grandchildren, Jenny Osburn, Heather Kline, John Hicks, Jordan Hicks, and Michael Hicks.

Burial will be in Swiss Cemetery. He was the son of the late, DD. Humphreys, Jr. and Elise Hinson Humphreys and was a native of Wyanesboro. he was a retired tax assessor for Lewis County. Survivors include his wife, Ann Curry Humphreys; sons, Trev Humphreys and Trent Humphreys both of Hohenwald; daughters Trudy Reeves and Tracy Hankins, both of Hohenwald; brother, D.D. Humphreys III of Destin, Fl.; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Andolyn Humphreys. McDonalds Funeral Home in Hohenwald is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Shores Cemetery in Giles County. The family will be at London Funeral Home Monday after 4 p.m. and Tuesday until the funeral hour for visitation. Mr. Hasting was a native of Limestone County, Alabama and son of the late William Andrew and Vera Jackson Hasting. He was retired from the L&N Railroad and was a member of the Cornersville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Tipper Hasting in 2001 and is survived by three daughters, Eulonde Estes of Lewisburg, Joy Murdock of Clinton, and Sue Watson of McBurg, three sons, William Howard (Billy) Hasting, Jr. of Cornersville, Larry Hasting of Lewisburg and Terry Hasting of Murfreesboro, five sisters, Ruby Wales, Wanda Gilbert, Mavis Ann Vining and Clara Brooks all of Athens, Al. and Vallaree Roberts of Hartselle, Al. 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Thomas Vernon 'Pop' Hammond

Mr. Thomas Vernon "Pop" Hammond, 83, retired field investigator with Retail Credit Company and resident of Sharon Circle, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Life Care Center.

Services will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Adair officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends from 47 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m.noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.

The Madison County native was the son of the late Aubrey Hammond and Flora Arnette Hammond. He was born and raised in Jackson and has made Columbia his home since 1950. He was a graduate of Jackson High School, attended Union University and was a graduate of University of Tennessee at Martin.

Mr. Hammond served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a former member of Columbia Elks Lodge and American Legion Post 19. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Warden Hammond of Columbia; one daughter, Julia Hammond (Steve) Manley of Columbia; two sons, Thomas Rickey "Rick" Hammond and James Warden "Jim" (Lisa) Hammond of Columbia; one brother, Bill (Ruth) Hammond of New Orleans, La.; sister-in-law, Helen Warden (Dudley) Hardaway of Columbia; brother-in-law, Charles (Mary) Warden of Mooresville; five grandchildren, Jeremy Matthew Hammond, Roland Stephen Manley, Redford Hammond Manley, Helen Grace Hammond and Gretta Synclair Hammond' one niece, Susan Greene; and one nephew, Thom Bryant Hammond.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James S. Hammond.

Pallbearers will be Brett Herrman, Doug Shapiro, Joe Brown, Steve Walters, Chris Sellars, Randy Whitley, Kyle Green, Ben Bayless, Jim Poling and Donnie Allen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Warden, Dudley Hardaway, Frank Cole, Dan Batey, Frances Thigpen, Ingrid Shapiro, Clyde Yeager, Leon Church, Arthur Ingram, John Rogers, Everette Renfro, Karen Baldwin South, Phyllis Boehms Herbert, Rhonda Meservy Dahlhauser, Tracy Mindledorff Godschall, Dr. Thomas Farmer and his staff, and Vanessa Purdom and the staff at Life Care Center.
