Lloyd Hooks, 67, of Clinton, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Hooks was a retired tool and die maker.
He was the son of Harvey and Maudie Hooks. He was a member of Indian Bluff Baptist Church in Briceville and enjoyed hunting and fishing, the family said.
Mr. Hooks is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louise Hooks; three sons, Roger Hooks and his wife, Bonnie, of Briceville, and Dana Hooks and his wife, Denise, and David Hooks and his wife, Maria, all of Clinton; three sisters, Betty Hildtich and her husband, Bob, of Oregon, Ohio, Trudy Singlton and her husband, Shorty, and Rosemary Adkins and her husband, Jim, all of Lake City; and by two brothers, Bobby Hooks and his wife, Mary Lee, of Lake City, and Billy Hooks and his wife, Jewell, of Clinton.
He is also survived by a granddaughter, Ashley Hooks of Oliver Springs; three grandsons, Dustin Hooks and Darrin Hooks, both of Clinton, and Roger Hooks Jr., of Briceville; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Emilee Hooks of Briceville; and by several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Cathy Hooks, and a grandson, James Brian Hooks, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Indian Bluff Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Byrge and the Rev. Warner Hawkins officiating.
Burial will follow at Indian Bluff cemetery in Briceville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight, Jan. 9, at Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City.

Norman Alexander O'Neal 84, of Clinton, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. O'Neal began employment May 3, 1946, at the Y-12 Plant when it was operated by Union Carbide Nuclear Division. He retired July 31, 1978, from the Metal Preparations Division at Y-12 where he had worked as a process chemical operator. He was a member of the American Chemical Workers Union.
He was born in Gent, Ky., on July 2, 1913, the son of Benjamin Franklin O'Neal and Scottie B. Alexander O'Neal. He attended the University of Kentucky for two years.
Mr. O'Neal had been a resident of Oak Ridge since 1945 and was a member of Robertsville Baptist Church. He was an avid college basketball fan, mostly of the University of Kentucky games, the family said. He also had an interest in politics and enjoyed yard work.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly McKinney O'Neal; a daughter, Norma Cardwell and her husband, Morris, of Overland Park, Kan.; a son, Palo O'Neal and his wife, Pat, of Oak Ridge; and three grandchildren, Danny O'Neal and his wife, Connie, of Dickson, Teri Browne and her husband, Patrick, of St. Louis, Mo., and Eric Cardwell and his wife, Charline, of Olathe, Kan.
Mr. O'Neal is also survived by two step-grandchildren, Cathy Fulgham and her husband, Joel, of Chicago, Ill., and Carson Cooper and his wife, Pam, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews.
Several brothers and sisters died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Michael Prince officiating.
Burial will be at McCarty Woodhaven Memorial Garden in Claxton.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the mortuary.

Robert E. Thomas, 51, of Clinton, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Thomas was employed in the shipping department of EG & G Instruments in Oak Ridge as a material handler. He had worked there since February 1989.
He was born in Strawberry Plains on Aug. 2, 1946, the son of Eula Thomas of Clinton and George Thomas, who is deceased. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oak Ridge.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Janet Thomas; five sons, Jason Thomas, Nathan Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Marcus Thomas and Isaac Thomas, all of Clinton; three sisters, Georgetta Reynolds and Zelda Johnson, both of Knoxville, and Dorothy Thomas of Atlanta, Ga.; and five brothers, James Harris, Ronald Harris, William Harris, Steve Harris and Jeff Harris, all of Knoxville.
He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Judy Love and her husband, Troy, of Knoxville, and Joan Koch and her husband, Ed, of Dalton, Ga.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Florine Perry; and by 3 nieces, 4 nephews, 1 grandnephew, 6 aunts, 2 uncles and several cousins.
The funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oak Ridge with Phil Alexander officiating.

Linda Scarbrough Trego Fox, 51, of 1147 Paw Paw Plains Road, Lenoir City, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 20, 1998, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville of cancer.
Mrs. Fox was co-owner of Fox Paint and Body and Volunteer Paint and Body Supply, both in Oak Ridge.
She was a member of Paw Paw Plains Baptist Church in Lenoir City and the Eastern Star Chapter No. 188.
Mrs. Fox is survived by her husband, Wayne Fox; a son, William Trego and his wife, Angela; her mother, Verna Smith Scarbrough; a sister, Brenda Lindsey and her husband, Arthur, all of Lenoir City; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Her first husband, Billy Trego, died earlier. Her father, Ray Scarbrough, and a sister, Martha June Scarbrough, also died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in the chapel of Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with the Rev. Gene Colvard and the Rev. Ron Bailey officiating.
Burial will be at Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Jason Lindsey, Bradley Trego, Kenneth Scarbrough, Junior Bohanan, Lloyd Robinette and Rick Coley.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Jan. 22, at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be held at 8.

Eula Lee "Missy" Gregory, 94, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 17, 1998, at a nursing home in Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Gregory was a former resident of Athens. She was a native of Morristown and the daughter of Pierce and Amanda Petty Lee.
She was a member of Mars Hills Presbyterian Church in Athens. She was the widow of Herman M. Gregory, who had been an attorney in Athens.
Mrs. Gregory is survived by four nieces, Ruth Darden of Oak Ridge, Mildred Rowland of Tazewell, Lois Minton of Harrogate and Janice Lee of Knoxville; two nephews, Joseph Dossett of Knoxville and Bob Collins of Chicago, Ill.; and one stepdaughter, Myrtle Ellen Bundle and her husband, J.M., of Louisville, Ky.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Jan. 20, in the chapel of Jerry Smith Funeral Home in Athens with the Rev. Bob Lucas officiating.
Burial was at Cedar Grove cemetery in Athens.

Bessie "Billie" Monroe, 79, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital, Knoxville.
Mrs. Monroe was an Oak Ridge resident and member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Knoxville.
She was the widow of Everett Monroe.
Mrs. Monroe is survived by a daughter, Pat Cummings and her husband, Dan; a son, Jack R. Monroe; four grandchildren, Jennifer Stevens and her husband, Don Stevens, Jason Shelton, Denise Davis and her husband, Jack Allen Davis, and Brian Monroe and his wife, Christie Monroe; and four great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Edith McColister and Ethel Wilson; and by several nieces and nephews, including two she considered special, Barbara and Keith Proctor.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Greenwood cemetery in Knoxville with the Rev. Albert Minor officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Jan. 22, in the chapel of Rose Mortuary, 1421 Broadway, Knoxville.

The funeral was to be held at 2 this afternoon at Fratersville Baptist Church with the Rev. David Riggs, the Rev. Howard Robbins and the Rev. Les Arwood officiating.
Burial was to follow at Leach cemetery in Lake City.

Mrs. Davis is survived by three daughters, Sara Maloney of Murfreesboro, Eva Alford of Portsmouth, Va., and Bobbie Martin of Chesapeake, Va.; a son, James Arnold Davis of Murfreesboro; a sister, Anna Smith of Cookeville; and three brothers, Jessie Lewis of Oak Ridge, Frank Lewis of Rossville, Ga., and Jack Lewis of Livingston.
A graveside service was held Wednesday morning, March 11, at Roselawn cemetery in Murfreesboro with the Rev. James A. Davis officiating.

Clyde W. Hatton, 82, of 219 Marlow Circle, Clinton, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at his home.
Mr. Hatton was a retired supervisor from South Central Bell in Oak Ridge where he worked for 39 years.
He was born in Knoxville on June 25, 1915, the son of John and Ollie Fritts Hatton. He was a member of Moran Baptist Church in Clinton and a charter member of the Marlow Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Hatton is survived by two sons, David Hatton and his wife, Brenda, of Clinton, and Ronnie Hatton of Greeneville; three grandchildren, David Hatton Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., Johnny Hatton and his wife, Alma, and Elizabeth Long and her husband, Terry, all of Clinton; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda Hatton, Jeanette Long and Gabrielle Long.
He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Geneva Amanns of Knoxville and Maude Hatton of Clearwater, Fla.; and by several nieces and nephews.
Pete and Betty Melzoni of Clinton were considered special friends.
His wife, Jeanette G. Hatton, died earlier. Two sisters, Ruth White and Helen Hesley, and three brothers, Toby Hatton, Rex Hatton and Ed Hatton, also died earlier.
The funeral was held Sunday, March 29, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Kenneth Seeber, the Rev. Kenny Sharp and the Rev. Bill Dawson officiating.
A graveside service was to be held at 11 this morning, March 30, at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton.
Roy B. Kelly

Roy B. Kelly, 80, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at his home.
He was born in Spartanburg, S.C., on Feb. 3, 1918, the son of Molley Brooks and Gussie Pearl Davis Kelly. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and was held for 13 months as a German prisoner of war.
Mr. Kelly had retired after working for 32 years as a police officer with the Spartanburg Police Department.
He enjoyed birdwatching, walking in the woods and carving walking sticks, his family said.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Metts Kelly; two daughters, Connie Kelly Moehl of Oak Ridge and Trudy Kelly of Allons; a sister, Pearl Blanchard of Spartanburg; and two grandchildren, Andy Moehl and Katie Moehl, both of Oak Ridge.
Bill Moehl of Oak Ridge is his son-in-law.
