Robert Donald Allen
Robert Donald Allen, 73, of Ashland City passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at his home. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Allen and Maude Barnes Allen.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Carl Allen, Rodney Glenn Allen, Donald "Oscar" Wilkes, all of Ashland city and Terry Wayne Wilkes of Joelton; a daughter, Donna Marie King of Ashland City; a brother Leon Allen of Ashland City; sisters Eva Williams, Pearl Brizedine of Ashland City and Lillian Stone of Huntsville, Ala.; as well as 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Bart Pemberton officiating. Burial followed at the Allen cemetery in Ashland City. Pallbearers were his sons, grandsons and friends.
Cheatham County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Larry Kenneth McCarver
Larry Kenneth McCarver, 64, a sawmill worker, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at NorthCrest Health Care in Springfield.
He is survived by his wife, Billie McCarver of Ashland City; two sons: Randal (Kim) McCarver of Ashland City, and Steven (Beth) McCarver of Pleasant View; one daughter, Karen McCarver of Ashland City; two sisters: Lois Cope of Ashland City and Jearlene Williams of Nashville and three grandchildren: Brandon McCarver, Clint McCarver and Logan McCarver, with a host of close family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Mary Sheffield McCarver, and his brother, Robert Ray McCarver.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at Boy Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Dankson officiating. Burial was in the Smith-Neptune cemetery in Ashland City. Friends and family served as pallbearers,
Boyd Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.

Mary Frances Saunders
Mary Frances Saunders, 75, passed away Nov. 15, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wayne Saunders.
She is survived by her daughter, Belinda England (Bud) of Knoxville; her son, Steve Saunders (Diane) of Ashland City; grandchildren: Stephanie and Courtney Saunders; brothers, Dewey and Cleo Todd; sister, Dot Woodruff, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Saunders retired from the Vanderbilt University Accounting Department and was an Avon Sales Representative. She was a long-time member of the Crievewood Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. at the Woodlawn Chapel of Roses with Dr. L. Joseph Rosas officiating. Interment icon was in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Woodlawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jerry Patrick Thompson
Funeral services for Jerry Patrick Thompson, 73 of Ashland City were 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 at Harpeth Hills Chapel with Rev. Leon Edwards officiating. Internment was at Harpeth Hills Memory Garden.
Mr. Thompson died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003. He was retired from the Ford Glass Plant and was preceded in death by his son, James Patrick Thompson.
He is survived by one son, Grady Earl (Macia) Thompson; sister, Leta Faye (Fred) Anderson; grandchildren, Jared (Michelle) Thompson, Adam (Melissa) Thompson Brian Thompson, and Jennifer Thompson; and great grandchildren, Haley and Anna Thompson, and Justice Thompson.
Harpeth Hills Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy Wayne White
Jimmy "Bo" Wayne White, 57, of Ashland City passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at Centennial Hospital, Nashville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey White and Roxy Dismaine White.
He is survived by brothers, Ed White of Ashland City and Marvin (Moore) White of Chapmansboro; sisters, Barbara Williams of Chapmansboro, Betty Belcher and Judy Bowman of Ashland City.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at 2 p.m. from Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Jameison officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship cemetery, Ashland City. Family an friends served as pallbearers.
Cheatham County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Willie Pearl Virginia Binkley
Willie Pearl Virginia Binkley, 73, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at her home in Ashland City.
She is survived by her daughter, Lavonne (Dewayne) Olive of Portland; two brothers, Donald (Alwilda) Binkley of Ashland City and Cliford L. (Cheryl) Binkley of Chapmansboro; two sisters, Dette Knox and Janie (Monte) Binkley, both of Nashville and two grandchildren, Gary Wayne McCormack and Kelly McCormack.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E. Binkley, her parents Ervin and Novella (Morris) Jackson, and her brother Ervin J. Binkley.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cecil Boswell officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Free Will Baptist cemetery in Ashland City. Active pallbearers: Denvil Harris, Raybon Binkley, Monte Binkley, Dale Binkley, Donnie Binkley and Randy Noe.
Boyd Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.

Earnest D. Evans
Earnest D. Evans, 55, Portland, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at Sumner Regional Medical Center, Gallatin.
He is survived by daughter, Tracy Leonard, Portland; son Eugene Evans, Portland; grandchildren: Michael Hobby, Morgan Leonard, Christopher, Taylor and David Evans; sisters, Cheryl Biggs, Hendersonville, Penny Martin, Joelton; brothers: Floyd Evans, Joelton, Lawrence Evans, Ashland City.
Services were conducted at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003 with Bro. Vernon Barker officiating. Honorary pallbearer: Vestal Leonard, active pallbearers: Billy Evans, Ronnie Pemberton, Kenny Biggs, Scott Biggs, Perry D. Biggs, Joshua Norman. Interment: Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Ashland City.
Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Marjorie Kathleen Hendrix
Marjorie Kathleen Hendrix, 55, of Ashland City passed away Oct. 20, 2003, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. She was born on July 29, 1948.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert P. Hamblin, Martha M. Wright Hamblin, and her husband, Melvin Hendrix.
She is survived by her sons, Melvin Spencer Hendrix and Steven Marshal Hendrix, both of Ashland City; three brothers, James Hamblin of Ashland City, Leonard Hamblin of Charlotte, and Charles Hamblin of Erin; three sisters, Annie Lee Brown of Nashville, Shirley Givens and Mary Heath, both of Ashland City; and one grandchild, Kayla Nicole Hendrix of Ashland City.
Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 23, 2003, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Jim Rich officiating. Burial followed at the Forest Hill cemetery Family and friends served as pallbearers.
Cheatham County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ollie Fogus Read Hiland
Ollie Fogus Granny Read, 89, born February 22, 1914, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 3003. She was a faithful member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Read and Earl Hiland.
She is survived by two daughters, Libby Williams of Ashland City and Debbi Westbrooks of Bellevue; two sons, Bud (Ann) Reed and Darrell (Becky) Read, both of Ashland City; six grandchildren, Spudie Williams, Sam Lampley, Mike Reed, Jeff Read, Tony Read and Candice Shoulders; four great grandchildren, Robert Reed, Brandi Reed, Reed Williams and Hope Reed; three sisters, Clara McCoy of White Bluff, Midget Hedgepath of Kingston Springs and Pee Wee Williams of White Bluff.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Oct. 27, 2003 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Taylor and Larry Spicer officiating. Burial was in the Petway cemetery in Ashland City. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the elders and deacons of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ and Brandon Cathey.
Cheatham County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Eudora Pace Hunter
Eudora Pace Hunter, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at Beverly Health Care in Springfield. Mrs. Hunter was a loyal Nashville Predators Fan, better known by other fans as the 303 Sign Lady there at the G.E.C.
She is survived by her son, Charles Hunter of Whites Creek, sister Virginia (Jesse) Sinks of Clarksville and sister-in-law, Louise Pace of Hendersonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Monroe Hunter, her parents, Ben and Cassie (Shores) Pace and her brother, James Pace.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Bro. David Royalty officiated. Burial was in Mallorys cemetery in Chapmansboro. Friends and neighbors served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the members of Joelton Homemakers Club.
Boyd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
