Kara Michelle Pack, daughter of Dean and Janice Pack of Morristown, was united in marriage with Michael Francis Baumann of Alcoa, son of David and Pam Baumann of Maryville, Dec. 18 at St. Paul Presbyterian Church, Morristown. The Rev. James Carter and Dean Pack officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by violinists Rebecca Leah and Amy Buchanan, pianists Joellyn Buchanan and Diana Carroll, and vocalists Tracy Coffey and Randy Greene.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Casablanca ivory, silky satin, strapless A - line gown which featured bands at the neckline and rounded waistline designed by using intricately sewn pearls and beads and a split chapel - length train which revealed an inset of organza beading layer. She wore a pearl and beaded tiara and double - tiered, elbow - length veil and carried a hand - tied bouquet of ivory roses and coffee berries.
Julianne Hammond of Knoxville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Donna Baumann and Amy Landers of Maryville, Jennifer Heath of Madison, Miss., Candance McClellan of Talbott, Laurie Meyers of Knoxville and Melissa Phillips of Wichita Falls, Texas. They wore strapless, floor - length, two - piece dresses of euro sable satin with matching shawls.
Madelyn Grace Heath was flower girl. Emily Baumann kept the bride's book.
David Baumann Jr. of Maryville was best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Baumann, Josh Landers, Robert Reeves and Chris Sweitzer, all of Maryville, Scott Cupp of Louisville and Ben Phillips of Wichita Falls, Texas.

After a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple are living in Alcoa.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Morristown - Hamblen High School West, received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996 from Carson - Newman College and graduated Tennessee Technology Center at Morristown Nursing Program in 2004. She is employed as a nurse with Women's Care Group of Maryville.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Alcoa High School, received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000 and a master's degree in education in 2002 from the University of Tennessee. He is a math teacher and coach at William Blount Middle School.

Thomas - Cowden (2004 November 29)
Samantha Cowden of Knoxville, daughter of Roland and Donna Cowden of Maryville, was united in marriage with Shawn Thomas of Knoxville, son of Wen and Denise Thomas of Knoxville, June 5 at Church of the Good Samaritan. Father Flanigan officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Terry Shipley, organist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white, strapless, Jessica McClintock gown and wore a white, elbow - length veil trimmed in satin. She carried Royal Ambiance roses.
Tabitha Cowden of Maryville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Anderson, Alexis Davis and Courtney Gillette, all of Maryville, and Jennifer Thomas of Knoxville. They wore black, strapless, Jessica McClintock dresses and carried a single Royal Ambiance rose.

Wen Thomas of Knoxville was best man. Groomsmen were Steven Thomas , Adam Blackstock and Justin Blackstock, all of Knoxville, and Chaen Cowden of Maryville.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at Countryside.
After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple are living in Knoxville.

Patteson - Burkhart (2004 November 29)
Amanda Marie Burkhart, daughter of Jim and Tina Burkhart of Maryville, was united in marriage with Sidney Starke Patteson Jr., son of Starke and Kay Patteson of Memphis, Oct. 16 at Ridge Valley Farms in the gazebo. Pastor Dick Smelser officiated.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, light gold satin gown with a corset back and sweep train. The bodice was embellished with gold embroidery, Swarovski crystals, pearls and sequins. She wore a light gold, two - tiered, elbow - length veil embellished with gold, double - pencil edging, rhinestones and pearls. The bride carried a hand - tied bouquet of bronze, russet and orange roses surrounded with golden oak leaves and hypericum berries, tied with a russet velvet ribbon.
Katelea Morgan Burkhart of Maryville was maid of honor. She wore a bronze, tea - length dress with mocha organza overlay and gold - beaded bodice and carried a smaller version of the bride's bouquet tied with a chocolate velvet ribbon.

The bride is the granddaughter of Don and Ila Kuntz of Streator, Ill., Lillian Krischel - Dorff of Streator, Ill., and the late Dwight Krischel. She is a 1992 graduate of Maryville High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in interior architecture design. She is the owner of Infinity Design.
The bridegroom is the grandson of James H. and Lois Coleman of Maryville and the late Clifford W. and Hester M. York. He is a 1992 graduate of Maryville High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Maryville College. He is the fourth generation of his family to be employed at Anderson Lumber Company and Home Center.
