Jeffrey Allen Faught, age 45, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2005 in San Antonio, Texas.
Jeff was co-owner of San Antonio House Leveling.
He is survived by his loving parents, Jesse and Barbara Faught of San Antonio; sisters, Jeanie (Bill)Yarbrough of Allen, TX, and Julie (Ray) Skinner of Manassas, VA; brother, Jerry Faught of Melbourne Beach, FL; nieces, Ashley, Lauren and Victoria; nephew, Alex; and numerous aunts, uncles, and wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15186, Austin, TX 78761.

Gloria Villarreal, age 52, ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 22, 2005.
She was a devoted member of New Life Christian Center and is survived by her beloved husband, Eugenio; daughter, Roxcsandra Martinez; son, Eugenio Jr.; grandchildren, Eugenio Villarreal III; Amyus Martinez; Marcel Martinez; and Vestynee R. Villarreal; mother, Ramona Reyes; brother, Demetrio Tovar; sisters, Cynthia Trujillo; Maryane Leal; Edna Woods; and Noami Ornales.

David Martinez
Born in Bay City, TX on Mar. 20, 1919
Died Aug. 20, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

David Martinez, 86, passed away on August 20, 2005, in San Antonio.
He was born in Bay City, Texas. He began his teaching career at Mercedes High School in the Valley as well as serving as a Baptist minister during those years. After moving to San Antonio in the early 70’s, teaching radio and television repair, he taught at Edgewood High School for 10 years, and retired from Fox Tech High School in 1985.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 loving years, Eloisa; his daughter, Sylvia Robinson and her husband George; granddaughter, Brittany; grandson, Brandon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia Martinez
Born in Landstuhl, Germany on Apr. 16, 1954
Died Aug. 18, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Virginia (Ginny) Martinez, age 51, of San Antonio, died Thursday, August 18, 2005.
Ginny was an avid reader.
Survivors: loving husband, Tomas Martinez; daughters, Jennifer Martinez and Melissa F. Martinez; granddaughters; Desiree Campa and Denise Campa; parents, Gilbert V. and Adelfina Martinez; brothers, John Martinez and wife, Denise, Robert Martinez and wife, Jill, Ruben Martinez and wife, Carol, and Efrem Martinez; sister, Theresa Rodriguez and husband, Basilio; also her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the second floor SICU Unit and staff at Southeast Baptist Hospital for their loving and kind care.
Pallbearers: Pete Balderas, Nicholas Lerma, Tom Balderas, John Marshall Scott, Greg Martinez, Michael Enriquez and John Martinez. Honorary Pallbearer: James Perez.

Marian Phillips Daniel
Born in Tulsa, OK on Nov. 14, 1938
Died Aug. 19, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Marian lost a valiant battle with cancer on August 19, 2005. She carried herself in her final illness with dignity, graciousness and concern for others – the way she had always lived. She was born in Tulsa, OK to Richard Tevier Daniel, Jr. and Aena E. Martin.
Her education consisted of Stephens College, Columbia, MO where she was named to the Dean’s List. Further education consisted of a BA in Romance Languages, an MA in Spanish, and post secondary in bilingual. She was named to Who’s Who in America for language education. Her work in translating earned her work being archived in the Library of Congress. Her work translating for the “Internacaional Ganadero” earned her international recognition.
Marian loved teaching and ended her career at St. Phillips College where she taught Spanish in the Department of Education, Foreign Languages and Reading. Many times she expressed her appreciation for the support she received from the St. Phillips College faculty during her illness.
Marian was a member of the Osage Tribe of Indians and a periodic dancer at intertribal pow wows. She was also a member of the Texas Foreign Language Association, and she was a Roman Catholic. In her spare time, she enjoyed swimming, scuba diving, traveling and sailing.
Survivors are her husband, James O’Conner Broadus, and her two dogs. Her husband will see that her final wishes are carried out which include scattering her ashes at sea in a favorite spot of hers.
No services will be held.

Ky C. Vo

Ky Chanh Vo, age, 73, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2005 in San Antonio, TX. He is survived by son, Charlie and wife, Maria Vo and their children, Theresa and Yvan Vo; daughter, Huyen Vo and children, Vickie and Amber Lee; son, Cuong Chanh and wife Chau Ho Vo and son, Alex Vo; son, Danh and Thu Vo and their children, Kevin and Kathy Vo; son, Ted and Nu Vo and children, Timothy and Thomas Vo; son, Tom and Vivian Vo and their child, Kobe Vo; daughter, Thao Mariposa and husband, Henry and daughter, Vo Thi Thanh Mai.

Richard Harrison West
Born in Dallas, TX on May 13, 1927
Died Aug. 16, 2005 and resided in New Braunfels, TX.

Richard Harrison West, age 78, passed away from lung cancer on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at his residence in New Braunfels.
He was born in Dallas, Texas on May 13, 1927 to Lora Kurtz West and Harrison West.
Richard graduated from North Dallas High School in 1945 and served in the army during occupation of Germany following WWII.
He earned bachelors and masters degrees in mathematics and physics from the University of North Texas.
Richard taught for many years in Houston and then went into computer programming. He retired to New Braunfels where he was active in the German American Society and the Harmonie Chor.
Richard also sang with the Beethoven Mannerchor and he was a member of the Order of the Sons of Hermann.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Robert, Billy, Bettye Lou, Mary Ann and Phillip; and his son, Karl.
Richard is survived by his two daughters, Terry West and husband, Robert Liner of Houston; Sherry Deiterich and husband, Whitner of Shady Shores; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Callie Dieterich and loving companion, Marilyn Preddy of San Antonio.
In accordance with his wishes, his ashes will be scattered in Germany.

Elvira Marie Tartell
Born in Albany, New York on Jun. 8, 1905
Died Aug. 17, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Elvira Marie Tartell, age 100, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2005.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Tartell and daughter, Deborah Tartell. She lived a full century as a wife, mother, concert pianist, teacher, artist-painter and left a vital legacy.
She is survived by her son, Joseph S. Tartell and wife Donna of San Antonio; grandchildren, Joseph and Debbie; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorthea Forster of Albany, New York.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Interment will be held in St. Agnes cemetery in Albany, New York.

James W. Foster

James W. “Rudy” Foster, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 in San Antonio, TX.
He was the son of James Curtis and Dorothy Foster of Lubbock.
Rudy was a member of Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Emilie Burrer Foster; son, Curtis Foster of Huntsville, TX; and sister, Saundra Foster of Plains, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Bexar County, 4804 Fredericksburg Road, San Antonio, TX 78229.

Frank Chester Szczepanski
Born in Chicago, Illinois on Jul. 14, 1913
Died Aug. 17, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Frank C. Szczepanski, born July 14, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the age of 92.
Mr. Szczepanski served in the Army in World War II with the 41st Infantry Division in New Guinea and Australia. He worked for the Sloan Valve Company in Chicago, Illinois for over 40 years.
Frank was a member of the Fiesta Commission. He loved Fiesta and for many years he traveled from Chicago to participate in various festivities. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Lottie.
Survivors: son, Robert “Bob” Szczepanski; numerous nieces and nephews.
