Dr. James Allen Lokey
Sept. 26, 1941 — Dec. 27, 2002

BRENHAM — Services for Dr. James Allen Lokey, 61, of Brenham are set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Brenham.

Father Richard Tijerina will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Dr. Lokey died Friday at his home.

He was born in Henderson, and was a retired administrator of the Brenham State School.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Brenham Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Shive Lokey of Brenham; two sons, John-Paul Lokey and Lance Lane, both of Brenham; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Elizabeth Rain and Greg Vincent of Baytown, Andrea Lokey of Phoenix and Lauren and Chad Lee of Cypress; a sister, Beverly Alstrin of Midland; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice, St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the Brenham State School.

Jo Anne Reyes
July 23, 1950 — Dec. 27, 2002

MADISONVILLE — Funeral services for Jo Anne Reyes, 52, of Madisonville are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville.

Bros. Lon McVey and Jack Smith will officiate.

Burial will be at the George Cemetery near Normangee.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and before the time of services Tuesday at the J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel.

Ms. Reyes died Friday at the College Station Medical Center.

She was born in Richmond and was Pentecostal.

Survivors include her mother, Annie Mae Brown of Buffalo; two daughters, Margaret Reyes and Shannon Reyes of Madisonville; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Vaughn of Centerville, Billie Jo and Richard Deal of Flynn and Christine Brown of Buffalo; and two grandchildren.

Floyd M. ‘John’ Berry
Sept. 20, 1926 — Dec. 29, 2002

Services for Floyd M. “John” Berry, 76, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

The Revs. Sam Manning and Dale Evans will officiate.

Burial will be in Rest-Ever Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Berry died Sunday at his home.

He was born in Madison County and lived in Bryan for 56 years.

He was retired after 33 years as a truck driver for Schandig Furniture.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 4692.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Berry of Bryan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd and Karen Berry of Cameron, Joe and Barbara Berry of College Station and Toy and Donna Berry of Franklin; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Janice and Henry Moehlman, Kathy and John Glover and Hope Berry, all of Bryan; a brother, Cecil Berry of Victoria; a sister, Louise Lee of Sweeney; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Lola M. Cone
Aug. 17, 1907 — Dec. 29, 2002

Graveside services for Lola M. Cone, 95, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lubbock City Cemetery in Lubbock.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Lubbock.

The Revs. Michael Passmore and Kim Clowe will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mrs. Cone died Sunday at her home.

She was born in Teague and lived in Bryan since 1983.

She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter AK and the First Christian Church, both in Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clay Ross and S.E. Cone; and a son, Marshal V. Ross.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mary Frances Ross of Bryan; a stepson, S.E. Cone Jr. of Lubbock; two stepdaughters, Marjorie Cone Kastman and Katherine Cone Moses, both of Lubbock; a sister, Blanche Shank of Midland; and two grandchildren.

Ernest J. Frenette
July 8, 1937 — Dec. 27, 2002

NAVASOTA — Memorial services for Ernest J. Frenette, 65, of Navasota are set for 7 p.m. Thursday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota.

The Rev. Paul Felix of Christ Our Light Catholic Church will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

Mr. Frenette died Friday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

He was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and was a member of the Canadian Legion.

He worked as a hammerman in citation/interstate.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Frenette; two daughters and sons-in-law, GiGi and Kurt Hamill, and Monique and Chuck Dunn, all of Windsor; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Paul and Susan Frenette, and Johnny Reaume, all of Windsor; two sisters, Doris Pike and Jackie Weiko, both of Windsor; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

Florence Edna Gideon
Jan. 1, 1912 — Dec. 29, 2002

MADISONVILLE — Services for Florence Edna Gideon, 90, of Madisonville are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Madisonville Funeral Home.

The Revs. Glenn Connor, Jeff Witcher and Vaughn Tatum will officiate. Burial will be in the Allphin Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gideon died Sunday at the Madisonville Care Center.

She was born in Bronte and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gideon.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David H. and Carolyn Gideon of Onalaska; a daughter and son-in-law, Lavone and Floy Fickey of Midway; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Marilynn Sue Lloyd
Jan. 2, 1945 — Dec. 24, 2002

HOUSTON — Memorial services for Marilynn Sue Lloyd, 57, of Navasota are set for 1 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Navasota.

Mrs. Lloyd died Tuesday in Houston.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Brittany Lloyd of Blackwell, and Justin and Linda Lloyd of Blossum; her mother, Authula Spears; a sister and brother-in-law, Billie and Jerry Brent of La Porte; a brother, Bill Spears of Cypress; two grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

James H. Stewart
Dec. 11, 1918 — Dec. 28, 2002

DALY CITY, Calif. — Services for James H. Stewart, 84, of Daly City are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary in Daly City.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Colma, Calif.

Mr. Stewart died Saturday in Moss Beach, Calif.

He was a native of Bryan.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Stewart and Michael Stewart.

Survivors include his children, Alma and Herb Blanchard, Sandra and Charles Houston, Carolyn Jackson, James Stewart Jr., Charles Stewart, Harry and Sarah Stewart, Richard and Sharon Stewart, William Stewart, Kevin Stewart and Christopher Stewart; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Elaine Stewart, Floyd and Laura Stewart, and Calvin and Connie Stewart; a sister, Elza Russworm; a daughter-in-law, Carrie Stewart; an aunt; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Faye Etta Williams
Aug. 3, 1935 — Dec. 24, 2002

NAVASOTA — Services for Faye Etta Williams, 67, of Navasota are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church in Navasota.

The Rev. Wilbert H. Sargent Sr. of High Point Baptist Church in Stoneham will officiate.

Burial will be in High Point Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.

Mrs. Williams died Tuesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Stoneham and was a maintenance worker.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Terrance Sr. and Lashawn Oatis of Galveston; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Georgia Richardson, and Mary Helen and Sammy Jefferson Sr., all of Navasota; and four grandchildren.
