Jeff Fennell was born May 13, 1932, in Young County. He married Patsy Cross on June 14, 1958, in Rhome.

Survivors: Wife, Patsy Fennell of Decatur; daughters and son-in-law, Sandra and Jr. Boyd of Slidell and Shelley Fennell of Decatur; brothers, John Fennell Jr. and David Fennell, both of Decatur; sisters, Ora Rodden and Noma Cross, both of Decatur; and granddaughter, Kasi Boyd of Slidell.

Max Fowler was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Randall County. He served in the Korean War in the Marines. Max was a retired Gaines County farmer.

Steven Craig Francis
FORT WORTH -- Steven Craig Francis, 41, a graphics designer, died Sunday, July 13, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 4 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Steven Craig Francis was born Jan. 8, 1956, in Lawton, Okla. He was a 1974 graduate of Everman High School, where he lettered in baseball, and Paris Junior College. He loved baseball, bird- hunting and playing drums. He played drums with the group Latigo. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Mr. Francis was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Webster Francis.

Survivors: Wife, Karen D. Francis of Fort Worth; son, Joshua Francis of Fort Worth; daughter, Kayla Francis of Fort Worth; parents, Clint and Barbara Francis of San Angelo; brother, James C. Bursey Grizzard
STEPHENVILLE -- Bursey Grizzard, 81, a retired American Bakery & Meads route salesman and a receiving clerk for Piggly Wiggly, died Monday, July 14, 1997, at an Erath County hospital.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial: West End Cemetery in Stephenville.

Bursey Gizzard was born Oct. 9, 1915, in Stephenville. He was a World War II Army veteran. He had lived most of his life in Stephenville and was a member of First Baptist Church of Stephenville.

Survivors: Wife, Freda of Stephenville; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Carl Norcross of Stephenville; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Jeanine Grizzard of Weatherford; brother, Horace Simmons of Stephenville; six grandchildren, Kevin and Cindy Norcross, Kimberly and Bob Winfrey, and Holly Grizzard and Tyler Grizzard; and four great-grandchildren, Mindy Norcross, Jeffrey Norcross, Bryce Winfrey and Alec Winfrey.

B.F. Headrick
WHITE SETTLEMENT -- B.F. "Fred" Headrick, 86, a retired maintenance worker, died Sunday, July 13, 1997, at his home.

Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

B.F. "Fred" Headrick was born Dec. 31, 1910, to John and Ester Headrick in Lamasco, Fannin County. He retired from the White Settlement Independent School District after 16 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Annie Lee Myers Headrick, and a son, Samuel David Headrick.

Survivors: Sons, James Headrick of Granbury and Ben Headrick of White Settlement; daughters, Marion Lewark of Aledo, Martha Gandee of Mesquite, Mae Shaw of Keller and Carol Radcliffe of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Dalton Headrick of Grand Prairie; sisters, Rose Vineyard and Ollie Dean Bradley of Snowflake, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Kraig Michael Healy
FORT WORTH -- Kraig Michael Healy, 27, an ice skating rink guard at the Tandy Center, died Friday, July 11, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Kraig Michael Healy was born July 28, 1969, in Lincoln, Neb. He had resided in Fort Worth since 1991. He was an avid and accomplished musician studying music privately. He played piano, organ, cello and some wind instruments. He was with the Keene Comerata.

Survivors: Father, Edward J. Healy; brothers, Kevin James Healy of Vancouver, Wash., Darren Edward Healy of Fort Worth and Kurt Patrick Healy of Vancouver; and sister, Dawn Renee Healy of Vancouver.

Brenda Sue Horton
BURLESON -- Brenda Sue Horton, 56, a teacher, died Sunday, July 13, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke's in the Meadow Episcopal Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Brenda Horton was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Bonita. She was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother and friend. She knew the joy of giving. Brenda was very proud of her children and their accomplishments in life. She taught many wonderful lessons.

Brenda "Mom" will truly be missed by many. Her legacy will continue to live through her family. She meant the world to us. And we look forward to the day when we can come together again. She was an earth-bound angel.

Brenda earned her degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She had been a schoolteacher for the past 25 years.

Survivors: Husband, Eddie Horton of Burleson; sons, Chris Willbern and his wife, Angie, of Mansfield and Tripp Horton of Fort Worth; daughters, Shannon Silvester and her husband, Pete, of Denver, Colo., Jonell Chance and her husband, Bobby, and Jillann Horton, all of Fort Worth; parents, Branch and Rnell Chapman of Nocona; sisters, Debra Stabeno and Cynthia Ellis, both of Austin; grandchildren, Blair, Brittany, Emily, Abbey, Ian, Alex and Tanner; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tiffany Lynn Hunnicutt
FORT WORTH -- Tiffany Lynn Hunnicutt, 22, who held a teaching assistantship at Texas A&M University, died Sunday evening, July 13, 1997, in College Station.

Funeral: noon Wednesday at First United Methodist Church. Dr. William M. Longsworth will officiate. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Memorials: Trinity University and Texas A&M University have established a memorial scholarship in Tiffany's name. Contributions may be made to the master's degree program in the School of Speech Communication at both universities. Thank you.

Tiffany's lifetime accomplishments were enumerable and even more remarkable due to her young age. But it was not these accomplishments that defined her. A rare individual, she will be remembered for the unique way that she touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Tiffany was an amazingly loving young woman who gave a part of herself to each one she knew.

A graduate of Fort Worth Country Day School in 1992, she served as senior class president. Tiffany also was head cheerleader and a member of IMPACT. She received her bachelor's degree from Trinity University in 1996. While there, Tiffany served as chapter president of Gamma Chi Delta sorority from 1995 to 1996. Following graduation, she entered the master's degree candidate program at Texas A&M University and maintained a 4.0 average.

Survivors: Her parents, Dr. Robert W. and Marsha Reynolds Hunnicutt of Fort Worth; sister, Nancy Hunnicutt Gunnin and her husband, Chris, of Dallas; brother, Robert W. Hunnicutt Jr. of Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Howard and Millie Reynolds of Tulia; paternal grandmother, Ethel Hunnicutt of Fort worth; maternal great-grandmother, Alma Reynolds of Fort Worth; uncles and aunts, Mark Reynolds, Matt and Debbie Reynolds, Jack and Val Hunnicutt, Bill and Jody Hunnicutt and Roy Hunnicutt; and very close special friend, Sam Kasparek of Houston.

Kathy Irvin
CHICAGO, Ill. -- Laura Kathleen Sarles Irvin, 51, a homemaker and former longtime Arlington resident, died Sunday, July 13, 1997, in Chicago.

Memorial service: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home.

Memorials: American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.

Kathy Irvin was born May 23, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pa. Her family moved to Houston and then to Odessa, where Kathy graduated from Odessa High School. She received a bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University and a master's degree from Southern Methodist University. After graduation, she married John W. Irvin of Fort Worth and they settled in Arlington. Kathy was actively involved in the community. She was a member of the Junior League of Arlington, Junior Woman's Club of Arlington, the Alpha Delta Pi Mid-Cities Alumni Association and Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She also spent many hours as a volunteer in the Arlington public schools.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sarles.

Kathy was a loving mother and sister, devoted wife and wonderful friend. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Survivors: Husband, John Irvin of Chicago; son, Jon-Michael of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Kirsten of Chicago; father, Les Sarles Jr. of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother and sister-in-law, Les and Dana Sarles of Houston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mimi and Dennis Graham of Odessa and Karen and Tony Parker of Slidell, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Amelia S. Jackson
FORT WORTH -- Amelia "Jane" Soboslay Jackson, 98, died Monday, July 14, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Celebrant: Monsignor Charles King. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Vigil: 7 p.m. Thursday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole.

Amelia "Jane" Soboslay Jackson was born Jan. 13, 1899, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a telephone operator in the Chicago Stockyards, a nurse and did charity work for many years. She worked with the blind, teaching them Braille. She was a first-generation American and her father started the first Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She was a lady commander with Star of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. She was a charter member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and a member of Catholic Daughters, the Altar Society of St. Mary's and St. Andrews. She was also a member of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth and Physician Wives Auxiliary and was a charter member of Women of Rotary. She had also started St. Marys Garden Club.

She was the widow of Dr. A.E. Jackson, Fort Worth's first eye doctor.

Survivors: Brother, Raymond Soboslay of Cleveland, Ohio; cousin, Alma Shillinburg of Fort Worth; and nieces and nephews, including, Jacquelyn Canamar of Monterrey, Mexico, John Michael Vasil of Myrtle Creek, Ore., Raymond Vasil of Arlington, Mary Harmuth of Fort Worth, George Baskin of Arlington and Martin Baskin of Fort Worth.
