WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Patricia Ann Perdew, 85 of Waxahachie, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Rev. Crickett Steele officiating.
Born on April 25, 1915 in Prosperity, Mo., the daughter of Ira and Ruth Ann (Deems) Brown, she passed away Jan. 4, 2001 at Renfro Healthcare Center.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Perdew, son William Karl Grabenauer, two brothers and sister; she is survived by two daughters Jean Barnfield and husband Jack and Patricia Ann Zahrt both of Waxahachie; two brothers Robert Fisher of Virginia and Gene Fisher of Joplin, Mo. and two grandchildren Michelle and Joshua.
Interment followed in the Fairview cemetery in Joplin Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001 under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Benito Cedillo Sr.
March 21, 1927 – Feb. 13, 2001

WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Benito Cedillo Sr., 73 of Waxahachie, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2001 in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home with Rev. George Solis officiating.
Born on March 21, 1927 in Penitas, the son of Matilde and Josefa Valades Cedillo, he passed away Feb. 13, 2001 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
He is survived by his wife Aurora Cedillo of Waxahachie; two sons Benito Cedillo Jr. and wife Estella of Red Oak and Matt Cedillo of Richardson; daughter Eva Cedillo Garcia and husband Joe Jr. of Waxahachie; five granddaughters; brother Conception Cedillo of Penitas and sister Rosa Saldano of McAllen.
Pallbearers were Joey Garcia, Mark Singleton, John Colwell, Ezequiel Garza, Chris Ridgeway and Craig Rudolph. Honorary pallbearers were Nasario Luna and Chris Brown.
Interment followed in the Waxahachie City cemetery under the directions of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Shelly R. Duran
Jan. 28, 1974 – Feb. 10, 2001

ENNIS – Funeral services for Shelly R. Duran, 27 of Ennis, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001 in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating.
Born on Jan. 28, 1974 in Ennis, the daughter of Kenneth and Linda Bates Clary, she passed away Feb. 10, 2001 at the Ennis Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband Cosme of Ennis; father Kenneth Clary of Ennis; mother and step-father Linda and Joe Widner of Palmer; Amber, Ricky, Shaun, James and Sarah; brother Tyler Widner of Palmer; sister Natasha Widner of Ennis; grandparents James and Betty Bates of Ennis, Mr. and Mrs. B.L. Clary of Ennis, Preston and Cecila Widner of Palmer; father-in-law Jose Duran of Ennis; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
Pallbearers were Bill Donahoo, Keith Bates, Ricky Whitt, Joe Duran, Bob Widner and Brent Clark.
Interment followed in the Crisp cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Floyd Elmore Payne
Aug. 10, 1934 – Feb. 14, 2001

ENNIS – Funeral services for Floyd Elmore Payne, 66 of Ennis, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001 at Green Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Issacs officiating.
Born on Aug. 10, 1934 in Pauls Valley, Okla., the son of Clarence and Floy V. Miller Payne, he passed away Feb. 14, 2001 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
Preceded in death by his father and wife Doris Payne; he is survived by his mother Floy Miller Goad and step-father Robert of Lancaster; daughters and sons-in-law Patricia A. Duckworth and husband Larry of Ennis, and Julie Chovanetz and husband Charles of Richmond; sister Beatrice Hall of DeSoto; half brother Robert A. Goad of Lancaster; granddaughters Kristi Beets of Ferris and Sarah Chovanetz of Richmond; and grandson Scott Beets of Ferris.
Pallbearers were Terry Duckworth, Chris Duckworth, Scott Beets, Bobby Isaacs, Gilbert Bouska and Larry Bouska.
Interment followed in the Calvary Hill cemetery in Dallas under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Mildred “Evelyn” Stephenson
Aug. 25, 1917 – Feb. 18, 2001

WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Mildred “Evelyn” Stephenson, 83 of Waxahachie, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Rev. James (Gus) Guthrie, Ph.D., pastor of the Ferris Heights United Methodist Church officiating.
Born on Aug. 25, 1917 in Forreston, the daughter of James Morgan and Mary May (Parker) Ward, she passed away Feb. 18, 2001 at Pleasant Manor Living Center.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters; she is survived by daughter Jan Armstrong and husband Robert of Midlothian; two grandchildren Lisa Elaine Armstrong Hyles and husband Michael and Robert Donald Armstrong Jr.; and two great-grandchildren Chelsea Michele and Cameron Michael Hyles.
Interment followed in the Waxahachie City cemetery under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

William Dale Wilburn
Sept. 19, 1949 – Feb. 13, 2001

WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for William Dale Wilburn, 51 of Waxahachie, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001 in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Bass officiating.
Born on Sept. 19, 1949 in Waxahachie, the son of William Travis and Mary Elizabeth Wray Wilburn, he passed away Feb. 13, 2001 at Parkland Hospital.
Preceded in death by his father in 1996; he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law Shelly and George Butcher of Dayton, Kristy and Jeff Stachmus of Pasadena and Brenda and Russell Shults of The Colony; seven grandchildren; mother; two sisters and brothers-in-law Carolyn and Art Haffey of Lancaster and Betty and Steve Hopgood of Waxahachie and uncle Edwin L. Wray of Mobile, Ala.
Interment followed in the Waxahachie City cemetery under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Barbara Joan Young
May 19, 1938 – Feb. 13, 2001

WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Barbara Joan Young, of Waxahachie, were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 15, 2001 in the Waxahachie Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nelson Coffman officiating.
Born on May 19, 1938 in Navarro County, the daughter of James and Thelma Hopkins, she passed away Feb. 13, 2001 at the Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Young of Waxahachie; son Todd Helm of Waxahachie; daughters Kim Wafer and husband Cecil of Waxahachie and Lisa Guthrie and husband Rodney of Italy; brothers Jimmy Hopkins, Robert Hopkins and Fred Hopkins all of Waxahachie; sisters Faye Helton of Mesquite and Lee Lucas of Bryan; grandchildren Derek Wafer and wife Jacquelyn of Mesquite, Britni Wafer of Waxahachie and Justin Guthrie of Italy; and one great-grandchild Ryanna Michelle Wafer of Mesquite.
Pallbearers were Barney Bearden, John Burnette, Douglas Clinkscales, and Jim Devore. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Galie, Neman Helm and Ralph Hayes.
Interment followed in the Waxahachie City cemetery under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Saundra E. Hill
Oct. 23, 1938 – Sept. 18, 2002

FERRI S – Graveside services for Saundra E. Hill, 63 of Ferris, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002 in the G.S. Ferris Memorial Park North with Pastor Victory officiating.
Born Oct. 23, 1938 in Houston, the daughter of Albert Ray Nunn and Frances Auterberry, she passed away Sept. 18, 2002 in Lancaster Medical Center.
Preceded in death by her parents and son Ernest Nelson Jr.; she is survived by her husband Henry Hill of Ferris; daughters Peggy Graham of Arkansas, Nelda Larson of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Beverly Teague of Ferris; son David Nelson of Wilmer; brother Billy Ellis of Houston; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Paul Larson, Leaman Lumpkin, David Nelson, Andrew McBride, Travis Teague and Gabriel Larson.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Nealie Bell Pinson
Sept. 22, 1923 – Sept. 18, 2002

RED OAK – Graveside services for Nealie Bell Pinson, 78 of Red Oak, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2002 in the Laurelland Memorial Park with Darnell and Doyle Pierce officiating.
Born Sept. 22, 1923 in Kleberg, the daughter of Hershel and Henrietta Busby Guinn, she passed away Sept. 18, 2002 in the Medical Center in Terrell.
Preceded in death by her husband Floyd Pinson, parents, daughter Norma Jean Collins, sister Treva Redd and brothers Emmitt Guinn and Carl Guinn; she is survived by her daughters Brenda Book and her husband Jimmy of Quinlan, Carla Hood and her husband Tim of Terrell and Donna Earnest and her husband Byron of Lancaster; son Floyd Pinson Jr. and his wife Susan of Red Oak; sister Mary Margaret Meadows of Grand Prairie; brother Tommy Guinn of Dallas; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
