W.T. “Pete” Yancey
Services for W.T. “Pete” Yancey, 79, of Wichita Falls, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Owens & Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Stiles officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
Mr. Yancey died Thursday in Wichita Falls.
He was born July 30, 1923 in Wichita Falls to Luther C. and Flossie Gossett Yancey.
Mr. Yancey served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
He was a homebuilder and land developer. He was past president of the North Texas Home Builders Associating. He was a member of the Home Builders Association of Corpus Christi and a member of the SPIKE Club.
Mr. Yancey lived in Tennessee Colony for 21 years.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Annette “Sandy” Yancey, in 1949; brothers, Doyle and L.C. “Cowboy” Yancey; and sisters, Elnora and Lena Lee Yancey.
Mr. Yancey is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Yancey of Wichita Falls, daughters, Barbara Williams of Houston and Linda McGee of San Antonio; sisters, Illa Mae Underwood of Wichita Falls and Wanda Noll of Lakeside City; and four grandchildren.
Condolence calls will be received from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

J.R. Ivins
Services for J.R. Ivins, 79, of Palestine will be at 3 p.m. today in Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Rick Dees officiating. Burial will be in the Neches City Cemetery.
Mr. Ivins died Thursday at Cartmell Home for Aged.
He was born Nov. 16, 1922, in Neches to William Walter Ivins and Mary Alma Roe Ivins.
Mr. Ivins was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S.. Army.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marvin L. Ivins, in 1999; sisters, Ethylene Griffith, Alene Walding and Iris Tingle; and brother, Wilford Ivins.
Mr. Ivins is survived by his wife, Connie Yates Ivins of Neches; daughter, Sheila Ivins Prestridge of Palestine; sons, J.R. Ivins Jr. of Clovis, N.M. and Ernie Ivins of Frankston; sisters, Oleta Homan of Louisiana and Wanda Porter of Houston; brothers, Hub Ivins of Louisiana, Rand Ivins of Neches and Ewell Ivins of Nederland; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Chris Little, Steve Prestridge, Heath Ivins, Lance Ivins, Carl Ivins and Tom Lucenay.
Honorary pallbearers will be Becky Prestridge Little, Amanda Marie Ivins, J.L. Parkman, Walter Ivins, Wayne Taylor and Ted Lucenay.
Terry “Sandman” Roche
Services for Terry “Sandman” Roche, 45, Palestine, will be at 5 p.m. today in Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Howard Huhn officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Middle Cemetery.
Mr. Roche died Thursday at his home.
He was born July 4, 1957 in Monterey, Calif. to Lawrence Joseph Roche and Ida Florence Wahl Roche of Irving.
Mr. Roche was a member of Cars of Palestine. He worked as a metal painter for Vulcraft in Grapeland.
He is survived by his parents; daughter, Shelby Roche of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Shawn LeBlanc of Houston; and brother, Michael Patrick Roche of Grand Prairie.
Pallbearers will be Larry Taylor, Jody Morton, Rusty Davis, Mike Smith, P.J. Moran and Billy Nash.
Etta Lou Graves
Services for Etta Lou Graves, 88, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Park with the Rev. Jerry Harper officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Graves died Sunday morning at her residence.
She was born April 1, 1914, in Anderson County to Pinkney Cullen and Amanda Jane Shaid Gibson.
Mrs. Graves was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Edward Graves in 1995; and sister, Alma Southerland.
Mrs. Graves is survived by sisters, Opal Collins, Mildred Gilmore and Marie Raines, all of Palestine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Sam Raines, Gregg Magee, Eric Magee, Charles Harper, Jim Magee, James Huddleston, Jacob Magee and Cullen Magee.

Louise R. Hickman
Services for Louise R. Hickman, 78, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Charles R. McShan officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park.
Mrs. Hickman died Sunday morning at Cartmell Home for the Aged.
She was born April 14, 1924, in Ava, Miss. to Lloyd Elbert and Bessie Johnson Reynolds.
Mrs. Hickman was a homemaker. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd Elbert Reynolds Jr.
Mrs. Hickman is survived by her husband, John H. Hickman of Palestine; daughters, Rise Manske of Pensacola, Fla., Debi A. Leach of Palestine and Elizabeth F. Shatto of Kansas City, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Leach, Robert Manske, Robert Shatto, Christopher Manske, Kermit Hemmert and Jerry Leach.

Services for Ernie C. Brandenburg, 80, of Kirvin, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield with the Rev. Louis Jones officiating.
Mrs. Brandenburg died Saturday in Fairfield.
She was born Nov. 15, 1922, in Mart.
Mrs. Brandenburg was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by her husband, Arlyn L. Brandenburg of Kirvin; son, Joseph Gilbert Broussard of Fort Worth; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Evelyn Casey Floyd
Services for Evelyn Casey Floyd, 69, of Alderbranch, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Providence Cemetery with the Rev. D.O. Conditt. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mrs. Floyd died Friday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 13, 1933 in Teague to Homer Earl and Ruth Lee Raines Casey.
Mrs. Floyd lived her entire life in Anderson County.
She was a member of Swanson Hill Community Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by a son, James Carroll Floyd.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wilbur “Bill” Floyd of Alderbranch; sons, John Floyd of Alderbranch, Casey Floyd and Clifton “Tip” Floyd, both of Elkhart; sister, Ann Pardee of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jim Bishop, Oscar Starr, Darren Farley, Lawrence Robinson, Jesse Sarminto and John Alexander.

Janie Sustaita
Services for Janie Sustaita, 89, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Earthman Funeral Home in Houston. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Houston.
Mrs. Sustaita died Thursday at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler.
She was born Sept. 8, 1913, in Bryan to Joe and Minnie Mongonia.
Mrs. Sustaita was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Sustaita; and son, Henry Sustaita Sr.
She is survived by children, Raymond Joe Sustaita, Tony Sustaita, Eddie Sustaita Sr., Janette Lambright and Darlene Brown, all of Palestine, Joe Sustaita of Porter and Eugene Sustaita of Pasadena; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Henry Sustaita Jr., Randy Sustaita, Albert Sustaita, Tracy Tucker, Jeffrey Lambright and Michael Sustaita.
Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Sustaita, Eddie Sustaita Jr. and Jimmy Sustaita.

Douglas L. Parsons
Services for Douglas L. Parsons, 85, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with the Rev. Tom Grissom officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine City Cemetery.
Mr. Parsons died Wednesday at his residence.
He was born June 29, 1917, in Falls County to William Thomas and Mittie Lea Meeks Parsons.
Mr. Parsons moved to Palestine in 1981 after his retirement. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
He worked for S.H. Kress Variety Store as manager for 18 years in Laredo, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, Harlingen, Austin and Greenville. He worked for Nash Hardware in Fort Worth for two years and then worked in California from 1958 to 1972. He returned to Texas working for Allied Belting and Transmission of Dallas before retiring.
Mr. Parsons was a 50-year Master Mason. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Reba Craig Parsons and Virginia Mollard Parsons; brothers, Durward A. Parsons, Louis F. Parsons and Lawrence W. Parsons; and sister, June Elizabeth Battista.
Mr. Parsons is survived by sons, James William Parsons of Humble, George Douglas Parsons of Fort Worth and Allen Craig Parsons of Weatherford; daughters, Sondra Gail Kirby of Iola and Barbara Sue Mask of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Myrna Lea Doughty of Dallas; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Craig Parsons, Josh Parsons, Cody Mask, Allen Parsons, Jimmy Parsons, W.L. Green and Phillip Waldrum.

Robert Eugene “Gene” Lummus
Services for Robert Eugene “Gene” Lummus, 74, of Buffalo, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Buffalo Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the Lummus Cemetery.
Mr. Lummus died Thursday at Buffalo Nursing Home.
He was born March 12, 1928 in Keechi to Robert Lee and Lena Inez “Rabe” Lummus.
Mr. Lummus was a lifelong resident of Buffalo and was a janitor at the Buffalo public schools. He was a member of the Flo Community Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Lummus, in February 2002; and sisters, Lois Franklin and Evie Winchester.
Mr. Lummus is survived by son, Robert Lummus of Buffalo; daughter, Marilyn Lapcsik of Buffalo; sister, Martha Marie Milton of Buffalo; two grandchildren; and special friend, Sheena Solley of Buffalo.
Pallbearers will be Ray Gaskin, Hugh Piatt, Dennis Hartley, Ronnie Moore, Seth Moore and Anderson Bullin.
Visitation began at 11 a.m. today and will continue until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
