NEW BOSTON, Texas - Elizabeth A. Trimble, 57, of New Boston died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, in a Tyler, Texas, hospital.
Mrs. Trimble was born June 24, 1948, in Bogalusa, La. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Hooks, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim P. Trimble.
Survivors include two daughters and sons - in - law, Lora and Carl Fink of Haughton, La., and Sherry and Lee Fleming of Henderson, Texas; and five grandchildren, James Fink, Christopher Fink and Paul Fink of Haughton, and Chelsea Fleming and Linzie Fleming of Henderson.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Bates - Rolf Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery.

SHREVEPORT, La. - Dr. Ray Ernest King, 94, of Shreveport died Sunday, April 9, 2006.
Dr. King was born July 20, 1911, in Sac City, Iowa. He was a doctor, a retired orthopedic surgeon and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Hartman.
Survivors include one daughter, Roxann King Davis of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Deborah Spoonemore of Plano, Texas, Todd Miller of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Lisa Anderson and Keith Miller of Birmingham; nine great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard W. Dow officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery under direction of Osborn Funeral Home.
LASSIE WESTMORELAND
ATLANTA, Texas - Lassie Westmoreland, 104, of Queen City, Texas, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, in Atlanta.
Mrs. Westmoreland was born Feb. 6, 1902, in Barstow County, Ga. She was a member of Springdale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Westmoreland; one son, James Westmoreland; one daughter, Mary Carpine; and one grandchild.
Survivors include four grandchildren and spouses, Fred and Sherry Peterson of Spokane, Wash., James and Sylvia Westmoreland and Tom and Sarah Peterson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Maria and David Wickstandt of Corona, Calif.; seven great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hanner Funeral Service with the Revs. Joe Strebeck and Bob Tripp officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

LINDEN, Texas - Windell Clifton Kirkland, 80, of Gilmer, Texas, died Monday, April 10, 2006, in a Gilmer hospital.
Mr. Kirkland was born March 28, 1926, in Cass County, Texas. He was employed in the timber business and a Baptist.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Tracy and Kathy Kirkland of Linden; one daughter and son - in - law, Suzanne and Bill Copier of Jacksonville, N.C.; two sisters, Ruth Tullos of Conroe, Texas, and Shirley Smith of Canton, Texas; two brothers, Paul Dean Kirkland of Michigan and Roma Kirkland of Houston; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Corinth Cemetery, Linden, with the Rev. Mark Markle officiating. Burial will be under direction of Reeder - Davis - Schindler Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

LINDEN, Texas - Theolis Mills, 78, of Linden died Thursday, April 6, 2006, in an Atlanta, Texas, nursing home.
Mr. Mills was born April 24, 1927, in DeKalb, Texas. He was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Douglassville, Texas.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter - in - law, Artis and Etta James Mills of Riverside, Calif., and Olan Mills of Los Angeles; one daughter and son - in - law, Marietta and Ben Oliver of Mansfield, Texas; two sisters, Bettye Smith and Hazel Litzsey of Linden; five grandchildren; and six great - grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Linden with the Revs. Michael Johnson and A.R. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery under direction of Linden Funeral Home.

ATLANTA, Texas - The Rev. Mike Jackson, 58, of Atlanta died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Atlanta.
Rev. Jackson was born June 1, 1947, in Albany, Calif. He was chaplain for the Police Department of Queen City, Texas, a member of Beulah Land Baptist Church, Queen City, and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include one daughter, Michaela Bates of Pittsburg, Calif.; and one brother and sister - in - law, Donald and Debbie Jackson of Sacramento.
Cremation was under direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

BROKEN BOW, Okla. - Suellen Moore, 61, of Broken Bow died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. Moore was born March 12, 1945, in Wilburton, Okla. She was executive secretary at Pine Telehone Co. and a member of Charity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Bennett.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter - in - law, Wayne Anderson of Broken Bow and Kevin and Janet Anderson of McCurtain, Okla.; one daughter, Jehree Anderson of McCurtain; two brothers, Harold Labor of Broken Bow and Arron Labor of Hartshorne, Okla.; three sisters, Mary Alverson of Hartshorne, Dorita Jones of Knoxville, Tenn., and Ofreda Labor of Maryland; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Charity Baptist Church with Clint Bray officiating. Burial will be in Minor Cemetery, McCurtain.
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Charity Baptist Church, Broken Bow.

ATLANTA, Texas - John Edward Hudson, 77, of Atlanta died Thursday, April 6, 2006, in Atlanta.
Mr. Hudson was a retired millwright with International Paper Co., a member of the Assembly of God and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Sanders Hudson of Atlanta; two daughters, Cynthia Jo Hudson of Anchorage, Alaska, and Judy Ann Hudson of Magnolia, Ark.; three brothers, K.P. Hudson of Covina, Calif., Bill Hudson on Blanchard, La., and James W. Hudson of Sulphur, La.; three sisters, Opal Juckett of Springhill, La., Eva Lurlene Williams of Torrance, Calif., and Velma Juckett Smith of Springdale, Ark.
Services were Saturday at Bailey Mortuary with Chaplain Wesley Sanders officiating. Burial was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Springhill, La.

ATLANTA, Texas. - Norma Jean Sullivan, 72, of Ida, La., died Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Shreveport, La.
Ms. Sullivan was born July 6, 1933. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Howard Earl and Marsha Peacock of Gentryville, Ind.; two daughters, Rolanda Peacock of Shreveport, La., and Terri Lee Garland of Panama City, Fla.; six grandchildren; and five great - grandchildren.

Mr. Hale was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Virginia. He was retired from the Army and a member of Pine Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Hale of Texarkana; two sons, Bob Baker of Alamogordo, N.M., and Scott Hale of Oregon; four daughters, Bobbye Sellers and Michelle McBride of Texarkana, Patricia Hale of Tennessee and Cheryl Hale of El Paso, Texas; two brothers, Curtis Hale of Bristol, Va., and Needham Hale of Oakwood, Va.; one sister, Geraldine Babcock of Catlett, Va.; five grandchildren; and one great - grandchild.

CARTHAGE, Texas - Ralph Thomas Atkinson, 84, of Joaquin, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, in Carthage.
Mr. Atkinson was born April 8, 1921, in Newton, Miss. He was a former band director and a Army Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Shirley Atkinson of Joaquin; one son, Tom Atkinson of Warrensburg, Mo.; and one daughter, Annette Mackey of Texarkana.
Memorial services will be 4 p.m. today at Hawthorn Funeral Home.
