Mrs. Ortiz
Clementina M. Ortiz, 93, of Three Rivers died on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007.
She was born on June 13, 1914, in George West to Felipa Martinez Ortiz and Felix Franco Ortiz. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Pedro Ortiz Sr., Felix Ortiz Jr., Jesus Ortiz Sr. and Lorenzo Ortiz Sr.
Survivors include one sister, Barbara Smithwick of Floresville; two brothers, Pablo (Etelina) Ortiz of Corpus Christi and Apolinar (Maria) Ortiz of New Braunfels; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Chapel in Three Rivers. Rosary was to be recited there at 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass will celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, followed by interment at Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Ortiz III, Daniel Ortiz, Andrew Ortiz, Pablo Ortiz III, Ricardo Ortiz Jr., Robert Bickle and Joshua Jacob Ortiz. Honorary pallbearers will be all the great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Prewitt
Roy L. Prewitt, 83, of Beeville died on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007.
He was born on July 18, 1924, to Edna (Ball) and William Arthur Prewitt in Bee County. He married Lila Jean Ballew in Edinburg on March 22, 1949. He was a retired technician from Southwestern Bell and was a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lila Jean Prewitt of Beeville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Funeral services will be held there at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Freasier
Lela Maud Freasier, 79, of George West died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001.
The funeral was held at 10 o’clock this morning (Wednesday) at the Cadiz Baptist Church.
Burial followed in the George West Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lynn Whitaker, Aubrey Davis, Cory Bednorz, Donald Hudson, Guy Lindholm and Bart Lindholm.
Mrs. Freasier was born Feb. 28, 1922, in George West to Susie F. (Weed) and Oren J. Lindholm. She was a homemaker and a member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Freasier.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Lee and husband Larry of Beeville; a son, Eugene Bednorz and wife Donna of George West; a brother, James O. Lindholm of George West; four grandchildren, Missy, Cory, Amy and Susie; seven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the South  Texas Children’s Home.

Hunt
Isabelle Hunt, 68, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Galloway & Sons chapel. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Galloway chapel, with the Rev. Patrick Donohoe officiating. Organist Everett McAulay and soloist Ray Barefield provided special music, “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.”
Burial will follow in the San Domingo Cemetery in Normanna.
Mrs. Hunt was born May 19, 1933, in San Antonio to Isabelle Marie (Holman) and Dewey Sinclair. She married Melvin Hunt on June 7, 1951, in Normanna. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 4, 1995; and a son, Jeff Hunt.
Survivors include a son, Bart Hunt of Houston; two daughters, Gena Brenner of Normanna and D’Ann Key of Kenney; and three grandchildren, Ravis Key II, Gage Key and Ashleigh Pundt.

Morris
Edgar Owen Morris, 91, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 o’clock tonight (Wednesday) at the Galloway & Sons chapel. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Tuleta Baptist Church, with the Revs. J.W. Stevens and Leo Oliver officiating.
Burial will follow in the Tuleta Cemetery.
Mr. Morris was born Jan. 29, 1910, in Grant, Okla., to Elizabeth (Taylor) and Rastus Morris. he was a retired welder and a member of the Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Rachel Harris Morris, on Jan. 24, 1993.
Survivors include two brothers, Bennett L. Morris of Kerrville and Oliver L. Morris of Tuleta.

Reagan
Sue May Reagan, 89, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001.
The funeral was held at 2:30 this afternoon (Wednesday) at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gordon Talk officiating. Special music was proviced by organist Everett McAulay and Dr. Eugene Dowdy on the violin.
Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Patrick Seals, Dan Reagan, Charles Murray Reagan III, Will Reagan, Michael Reagan, John Reagan, Rob Schneider and Charles Sehlke.
Miss Reagan was born June 13, 1912, in Oakville to Susan Elizabeth (Brown) and Dr. Charles Haskins Reagan. She attended A.C.  Jones High School and Southwestern University in Georgetown. For many years, she was a secretary for the Reagan doctors here. She also taught school in Oakville and rode horseback from her home in Beeville in the 1930s to continue teaching at the Central community school in Bee County. She also was a co-owner of a dress shop in Three Rivers. She later served as an assistant in the medical office of her brother, Dr. Tom Reagan, and was office manager for the Reagan Clinic.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Survivors include a brother, Dr. Lawrence Reagan; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Reagan Turner, both of Beeville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Lewis, Pryor, Eugene, Charles Murray and Drs. Tom and John Reagan.

Williams
Wiley Elkins Williams Sr., 82, of La Vernia died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001.
The funeral was held at 11 o’clock this morning (Wednesday) at the Galloway & Sons chapel, with the Rev. David Gale officiating. Special music was provided by organist Doug Burton and soloists Linda and Amy Ford and Darci Ford Westmoreland.
Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Kinkler, Autry Gordon, Jimmy Jones, Neil Downs, Roger Perkins and Matt Atkins.
Mr. Williams was born March 11, 1919, in Sinton to Janie Idella (Cox) and Joseph Wiley Williams. He married Eulalie Ima Jeffrey there on May 7, 1940. He was a retired carpenter and a member of La Vernia First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eulalie Williams of La Vernia; two sons, James Williams of Hondo and Wiley “Butch” Williams of Reno, Nev.; three daughters, Carolyn Sumner of Elmendorf, Bobbie Arnold of La Vernia and Mary Rhea Day of San Antonio; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the South  Texas Children’s Home.

Wolff
Lois Wolff, 75, of Pawnee died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at her home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1926, in San Antonio and married Homer Wolff on July 15, 1950. She was a teacher at the Pawnee school for 35 years and was a member of Elim Lutheran Church. Mrs. Wolff also was a member of the Otto Kaiser Hospital Pink Ladies and Karnes County Kraft Club. She enjoyed playing bunco and having breakfast every Tuesday with her friends.
In addition to her husband, who died on March 7, 1988, she was preceded in death by her father, Carl Fenske, and mother, Thekla Bodenburg Fenske.
She is survived by one daughter, Jacalyn (Robert) Casanova of Irving; one son, Mark Wolff of Pawnee; one sister, Jackie Oertel of San Antonio; two brothers, Carl Fenske of Houston and Robert Fenske of San Antonio; two granddaughters, Stephany (Sean) Robinson and Lorri Ables; and two great-grandchildren, Rylie and Reagan Robinson.
Funeral services were to be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Eckols Funeral Home chapel in Kenedy with the Rev. Deana Voges and Rev. Beth Ann Deerring officiating. Burial was to follow in the Pawnee Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Jack Fenske, Robert Fenske Jr., Steven Oertel, Russell Oertel, Floyd Wolff, Ray Wolff, Rocky Kopplin and Leroy Wolff.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elim Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Battey
Frances Battey, 83, of Swinney Switch died Friday, March 29, 2002.
Visitation was held Saturday at Galloway and Sons Chapel. Burial followed Saturday afternoon at Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Battey was born Dec. 9, 1918, in Durant, Okla., to Grady and Lillie (Hester) Harris. She resided in Swinney Switch and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mathis.
Survivors include one sister, Alberta Kehoe of Mathis; one brother, Harold Harris of Beeville; one niece, Kay Isaacks of Mineral; and two nephews, Albert Williams of Arkansas and Hubert Harris of Beeville.
