Funeral service 11.00 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, Bishop Auckland on Wednesday, June 23, followed by private cremation. Refreshments served at the Park Head Hotel from 12.15 p.m., all friends welcome. Family flowers only. Donations may, if desired, be given to Ward 42, Darlington Memorial Hospital. Special thanks to Helen, Jill and all those who have cared for her.

MARTINDALE June 17 (peacefully at Hawthorns Nursing Home, Peterlee), of Dawson Road, Wingate. Oswald (Ossie), aged 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Stella, dearly loved father of Ronnie, Keith and Kenneth, dearest father-in-law and a much loved grandad and great-grandad. Cortege leaving residence Tuesday at 10.45 a.m. Friends please meet at Holy Trinity Church for service at 11.00 a.m. followed by interment at Station Town Cemetery.

MASON June 13 (in hospital), of 14 St. Mary's Close, East Cowton. Albert Victor, aged 86 years, beloved husband of Doris, dearly loved father of Jean, dear grandad of Jane and Kevin and great-grandad of Samantha and Katie. Service at All Saints' Church, East Cowton at 2.00 p.m. on Monday, June 21.

MATTHEWS William Thomas (Bill), aged 87 years, peacefully in Homelands Hospital on June 11. Dearly loved husband of Anastasia and much loved father, father-in-law and grandad. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 1.00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17.

McDONALD Doctor James Douglas McDonald (retired G.P.), aged 82 years, of Richmond, Yorkshire, died peacefully at home on June 11. Dearly loved husband of Ann and a much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Monday, June 21 at 12.45 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. If you feel flowers are appropriate, please bring a single garden rose, or donations for Médécins Sans Frontière or the Respiratory Trust Fund, Friarage Hospital, Northaller-ton, c/o John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., Funeral Directors, Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond, DL10 4AJ. The wearing of dark clothing is not a requirement.

MORLEY June 11 (suddenly), of Highfield House Nursing Home, Haswell. Nora, aged 81 years. Devoted wife of the late Henry, beloved mother of Mavis and the late Audrey, a sadly missed mother-in-law of Frank and Brian, a treasured nana of Neil, Lee, Joanne, Nicola, Karen and Mark, much loved great-gran and great-great-gran. Will friends please meet for service at St. Paul's Church, Haswell on Wednesday June 16, at 9.40 a.m. Prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium.

MORTON Robert Lindsay (Len), aged 80 years, of Brompton-on-Swale, died peacefully in hospital on June 14. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy, much loved father and father-in-law of Chris and Pat, very dear brother of Nancy and a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral service at Brompton-on-Swale Methodist Chapel on Monday, June 21 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in the Cemetery. Friends please meet at the Chapel. MOSS June 14 (peacefully, at Hundens Park), formerly of West Auckland Road, Darlington and North-allerton. Alice, aged 86 years, much loved wife of the late Arthur, beloved mother of Arthur and the late Alan, dear mother-in-law of Lorna and Mary, loving grandma of Christopher, Anita, Sarah and David, loving great-grandma of Conor, Mathew and Rebecca. Funeral Tuesday, June 22. Would friends please meet 11.45 a.m. for service and committal at Darlington Crema-torium.

NELSON Died June 14, peacefully at Greenwell House, formerly of Bedale and Pickhill. Edna, aged 94 years, beloved wife of the late Ernest, dearly loved mother of Alan and Jean and sister-in-law of Tom, also a dear mother-in-law and grandmother. Funeral service and interment to be held at All Saints' Church, Pickhill on Monday, June 21 at 2.00 p.m.
