Nina, aged 86 years, dear wife of the late David, much loved mother of Peter, dearest mother-in-law of Kathy, treasured granny of Ian and the late Stephen. Funeral Wednesday May 7. Would friends please meet 12.30 p.m. for service at All Saint's Church, Hurworth prior to cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to, St. Teresa's Hospice, Woodland Road, Darlington.

HAMILTON Helen Claire (née Hamson). Peacefully on April 27 at home with her family, after a courageous fight against cancer that she approached with great stoicism and indeed won for fourteen years. A much admired and special person who gave inspiration and support to so many. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, colleagues and pupils from Polam Hall School, Darlington. Much loved and loving wife to Andrew, daughter of Pen and the late William, so special mother of Claire, Lucy and Fiona and grandmother of Aria, sister of Antony. Funeral service at Yarm Parish Church on Friday, May 9, at 2.00p.m. Family flowers only, in lieu donations to, Breakthrough Breast Cancer c/o, Yarm Funeral Services. Tel: (01642) 786200.

HARBISHER April 25 (peacefully) at Ferndale Elderly Persons Home, Feather-stone, Yorkshire, formerly of Albert Terrace, Esh Winning. Isabella (Bella), aged 95 years, dear wife of the late James R. Harbisher and mother of the late Ellen, a loving mother to Vera and sons-in-law Jimmy and Jeff, grandmother of Jim, Lyn and Peter. Service and Hemsworth Methodist Church, followed by cremation at Pontefract.

HATTAM April 28 (peacefully, in hospital), of Langley Park. Sally, aged 93 years, beloved wife of the late Moses, much loved mother of the late Les, beloved mother-in-law of Jackie. Will be much missed by Elsie and all family and friends. Funeral service to be held at Saltwell Crematorium, Gateshead on Friday, May 2 at 9.00 a.m. Will friends please meet at the crematorium.

HENNESSY April 28, of Langley Park. Hilda, (nee Christian), dearly loved wife of Michael, dear mother of Jacqueline and aunt of Sheila and David. Friends please meet for service in All Saint's Church, Langley Park on Friday May 2, at 10.00 a.m. followed by cremation at Mountsett Crematorium at 10.45 a.m.

HIND May 1, of Shotton Colliery. Martin, aged 71 years. Beloved husband of Esther. Funeral service to take place at St. Saviour's Church, Shotton Colliery on Wednesday, May 7, at 11.30 a.m. followed by cremation at Hartlepool Crematorium.

HUTCHINSON Dr. Geoffrey Edward Died peacefully in Harrogate General Hospital, loving brother of Brian, Valerie and Colin. He will be missed by all. Funeral Wednesday April 30 at 12.00 noon, St. Mary's R.C. Church, Knaresborough. R.I.P.

JARMAIN May 2 (peacefully in hospital), of Bedale, formerly of Aiskew. Arthur James, aged 85 years, dearly loved husband of Maisie, a much loved father of Diane, Pauline, Sandra and Mark, also a dear father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service and interment to be held at St. Gregory's Church, Bedale on Thursday, May 8 at 11.30 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for the N.S.P.C.C.

JOHNSON Jane (Jenny) On May 2, in the Ashwood Park Residential Home, Easington. Jenny, aged 91 years, loving aunt of Alan, Victor and Stephen and also a loving cousin of Ann. Interment Easington Village Cemetery on Wednesday. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Easington Village at 2.00 p.m.

JOHNSON Patricia Judith (Tricia), Petty Officer, Royal Navy, aged 33 years, of Penzance, Cornwall, formerly of 63 Whitefields Drive, Richmond died suddenly on May 1. Dearly loved daughter of Bill and Judy, much loved sister to Karen, Michael and Michelle and a loving granddaughter, niece and aunty. Funeral arrangements later.

JOHNSTON April 23 (peacefully, in hospital), of St. Cuthbert's Green, Barton. Dilys Margaret (nee Mansfield), aged 76 years, dearly loved wife of the late George, a loving mother, mother-in-law, nana, great-nana and sister. Funeral Thursday, May 1. Friends please meet for service in St. Cuthbert's Church, Barton at 2.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium.

JONES April 29 (suddenly), of Woodham Village. Cecil Henry (Ces), aged 72 years, precious husband of Doreen (nee Parker), devoted dad of Linden and Alison and a loving grandad of Andrew, Amy and Lucy. Funeral Thursday. Would friends kindly meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 10.45 a.m. No flowers please. Donations may be sent for Newton Aycliffe Gardeners Guild, c/o Seaton Leng & Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington.

Edith Ellen (nee Smith), aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late Jimmy (former Coal Merchant), a dearly loved mother of Edward and Derek and a loving mother-in-law of Jean. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium Tuesday for a service and committal at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only.

LEATHERS April 26, (peacefully, at home). Maud, (nee Bates), aged 84 years, of Moor Crescent, Ludworth. A devoted wife of the late Thomas William, a dearly loved mam of Peter, Aby, Martin and Thomas, much loved mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma. Funeral to take place on Friday May 2. Service to take place at Sherburn Hill Methodist Chapel at 10.50 a.m. followed by cremation at Sunderland Crematorium and afterwards at Sherburn Hill Community Centre. Bus provided from residence.

LODGE Mary (formerly Smith) of Clarence Court, Spennymoor who died peacefully in hospital, on April 25, aged 80 years. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Jean and Ian, George and Gloria, Raymond and Gilian and Graham and Elaine, also a devoted gran. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6.

LONSDALE Joseph Porteous April 29 (suddenly, in hospital). Joseph, aged 88 years, of Norton (born Willington). Dearly beloved husband of the late Laura, much loved dad of Susan, father-in-law of Derek, also a devoted grandad of Helen and Lisa. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, May 6 at St. Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium at 1.30 p.m., prior to cremation. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Arthritis Care, c/o Mr Hardy, 146 Durham Road, Stockton.

LOUARTE Jose, formerly of The Wyvill Arms, Constable Burton. Died in his home town of Rouen, France on April 28, 2003, aged 40 years. A true professional sadly missed.

LOWE April 25 (tragically, as the result of an accident). Jeff, aged 59 years, beloved husband of Val, devoted dad of Janet and Karen, a much loved and loving granda to Christopher, Danielle, Rebbeka and Karl, treasured son of Mary and the late Harry, a dear son-in-law of Jane and the late Syd Guy, also a dearly loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church, Bishop Auckland at 1.30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, followed by cremation at Durham. All friends are welcome to refreshment immediately after this service in the Durham Ox, Coundon.

Mary, aged 82 years, beloved wife of Charlie, dearly loved mam and mother-in-law of Edith and Ray, Sandra and Bob, David and Christine, also a devoted nana, great-nana and sister. Would friends please meet for service at Sunnybrow Methodist Chapel on Friday May 9, at 2.15 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham.

MARHEINEKE April 27, peacefully in hospital, of Gormire Close, Thirsk. Jean, aged 68 years, dearly loved mother of Ian and Joanne and mother-in-law of Martin. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Tuesday, May 6 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment.

MEDHURST April 28, (in hospital), of Kingston Crescent, Haswell. Walter, aged 67 years, a dearly beloved husband of Olive, (nee Dunstone), much loved dad of Gill and Walter, also a dear father-in-law and a dearest grandad. Friends please meet on Tuesday for service at St. Paul's Church, 10.35 a.m. Cremation to follow at Sunderland Crematorium.

MIDDLETON April 26, formerly of Edge Court, Gilesgate, Durham. Lil, aged 81 years, loving mam of Pamela, Angela and Adrian, dearly loved sister of Chrissy, also a devoted gran. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14. Family flowers only. Donations may be left at the crematorium for Cancer Research.

MILLEN Gladys Joyce, aged 84 years, of Richmond (formerly of Burnopfield), died peacefully in hospital on April 25. Beloved wife of the late Sam, much loved mam of Ann, Stuart and Sharon and a dear mother-in-law and loving grandma. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, May 6 at 2.45 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Family flowers only. Cortege to leave daughter's residence for service in The Salvation Army Citadel, North gate, Darlington on Thursday May 8, at 2.45 p.m. followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be given after the service for, The Diabetic Association.
