Cortege to leave her son's residence in Howard Close, Bishop Auckland at 10.50 a.m. on Monday, September 27, for service in St. Helen's Church at 11.00 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Will friends please meet at church.

LAWSON September 20 (peacefully, at home with great dignity), of Minors Crescent, Darlington. Mavis, aged 51 years. Much loved wife of Gary, loving mother of Lisa and Daniel, dearly loved stepmother to Melanie, also a devoted sister to Christine. Will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. NEWTON Luke (Formerly of Durham) died on August 26, 2004 in Nottingham, He leaves loving wife Joy, daughters Kathryn and Joanne, son David and grandchildren Georgia and Robbie, also loving brother of Ken, Vi, Liz, Anne and Robert.

PAINE Olive, aged 100 years, formerly of Hipswell, died peacefully at Brentwood Lodge, Leyburn on September 20. Beloved wife of the late Harold, much loved mother of Joe, Iris and the late Delia, a dear mother-in-law and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. To be received into St. Joseph and St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Richmond on Monday, September 27 at 5.00 p.m., for funeral mass on Tuesday, September 28 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in Hipswell Cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. R.I.P.

STACEY W.A.G. (William Gordon) J.P., A.C.I.B., aged 80 years, on Saturday, September 18 at Beaconsfield Nursing Home, Barnard Castle. Leaves wife, four children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. served in the R.A.F. and also worked at the National Westminster Bank for forty two years. Served on Magistrate's Bench in Crawley and Bishop Auckland (Wear Valley), lived in Cotherstone almost twenty years. WILKIN John Edward, formerly of Steadfield House Farm, Dalton-on-Tees, died peacefully on September 18. A dearly loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and friend.
