Derek, aged 82 years, a dearly loved husband of Rita, a much loved dad of George and Derek and a loving grandad and father-in-law. Will be sadly missed. Friends please meet for service in St. Aidan's Church, Framwellgate Moor on Friday, August 5 at 2.45 p.m. Cremation to follow at Durham. All welcome for refreshments at Framwellgate Moor Club. No flowers by request please. Donations in lieu to Ward C34, Sunderland Royal Hospital.

BEST August 1. Hilda (nee Sanderson), aged 90 years, formerly of Tow Law, in the loving care of West Lodge Nursing Home, Billy Row, Crook. Beloved wife of the late Billy, a dearly loved sister, auntie, great-auntie and a dear friend to all. Will friends please meet for service on Friday, August 12 in Crook Salvation Army Citadel at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham.

BLANCE On Saturday, July 30, at home with his family. George Ernest, dearly loved husband of Joan and a loving father and grandfather. Service to be held at St. Leonard's Church, Molescroft, Beverley on Thursday, August 4 at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please.

BOSTON Richard Duncan (Richie), aged 36 years, of Catterick Village, died tragically on August 3, as the result of an accident. Very dearly loved son of Richard and Ena, devoted partner of Debbie, loving brother of Fiona and Katrina and special uncle to Hannah and Luke. A service of thanksgiving and celebration for Richard's life will take place at St. Anne's Church, Catterick Village on Friday, August 12 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please. If desired, donations may be given on the plate in church for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

BOWSER Houghton-le-Spring In hospital on July 25. Alan, dearly beloved husband of Jean (nee Gardiner), loving dad of Christine and Graeme, father-in-law of Kim and the late Graeme, loving grandad of Craig, Calum, Leigh, Rachael, Hamish and Alexander, also a loving brother to Jean. Elizabeth (nee Gutteridge), aged 89 years, of Billingham (formerly of Wheatley Hill), dearly loved wife of the late Phil, much loved mam of Philip and Gordon, dear mother-in-law of Helen and Christine and a dearly loved grandma and great-grandma. Service at St Cuthbert's Church, Billingham Green on Friday, August 5 at 2.45 p.m., prior to cremation at Teesside Crema-torium. Friends please meet at Church. Family flowers only please. Joe, aged 80 years, dearly loved husband of the late Marjorie, loving father of Peter and Nigel, father-in-law of Jane and Helen, dearest grandad to Sally, Charlotte, Suzie, Daniel and Matthew. Funeral service to be held in All Saints' Church, Crathorne 1.00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, followed by interment. Family flowers only. Donations, if wished, may be given for the C.C. Unit at the James Cook University Hospital.

Florence May (Florrie), aged 89 years, dearly loved wife of the late William (Billy), a much loved mother of Alan, Colin and Ron, also a very dear mother-in-law, nana, great-nana, sister and aunt. Would friends please meet at Windlestone Methodist Chapel, Chilton on Tuesday at 9.45 a.m. for a service, followed by a committal at Durham Crematorium.

CARR July 27, of Fir Tree, Crook. Annie Grace, aged 75 years, beloved wife of the late George and dear mother of Trevor. Will friends please meet for service in Howden-le-Wear Methodist Chapel at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, followed by interment at Witton-le-Wear. Trevor wishes to express his most sincere thanks to all doctors and carers who have helped Grace in her recent illness.
