Died peacefully at Southwoods Nursing Home on September 9, after an illness borne with courage and dignity, dearly beloved wife of the late Maurice, much loved mum of Margery and Robin, dear mother-in-law of David and Joanne, loving grandma to Nick, Edd, Alex, Chris, Josh and Isobel. Funeral Friday September 16. Would friends please meet at 1.15 p.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Cancer Research U.K.

BURN September 9 (peace-fully), of Sowerby House Nursing Home, Sowerby, Thirsk, (formerly of Kilburn). Brian, aged 72 years, much loved brother of Gordon and brother-in-law to Gladys. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Kilburn on Friday, September 16 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to St. Mary's Church.

CALDEIRA September 15 (peace fully, in hospital), of Station Town, Wingate. Janet (formerly Wolsey, nee Kirkup), aged 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Doctor Joseph Caldeira and the late Albert Wolsey, also loving sister of late Lydia Oxley. Cortege leaving residence Wednesday at 10.50 a.m. Friends please meet at Millbank Methodist Church for service at 11.00 a.m. followed by cremation at Hartlepool. No flowers by request. Donations if so desired to Hartlepool Hospice.

CAMERON On September 10 (peace-fully after a difficult illness), formerly of Swaledale. Ian Fletcher, aged 81 years (Lloyd's Register of Shipping, Retired), dearly loved husband of Dorothy and dear father of Tricia, Stuart and Catherine. Funeral service and committal to be held at Holy Trinity Church, Melbecks, Low Row in Swaledale on Monday, September 19 at 1.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory of Ian, if so desired, may be given for the R.N.L.I. care of Simon Barning-ham, Manor Farm, Grinton, Richmond, North Yorks DL11 6HL. CLARK September 13 (suddenly) of Dene Park, Esh Winning. John, aged 58 years, dearly loved husband and best friend of Margaret, much loved dad of Lindsay and Rachael, father-in-law of Geoff and Steven, a special grandad and best friend of Cameron, loving brother of Beryl and Stephen. Will be sadly missed by all the family. Would friends please meet for service in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church on Monday, September 19 at 12.00 noon, followed by interment in Newhouse Cemetery. Friends welcome for refreshments at The Cross Keys afterwards. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given after the service for the Diabetic Association.

CLARKSON Molly (formerly Sowerby) aged 96 years, of Beaconsfield Court, Barnard Castle, died peacefully on September 10. Beloved wife of the late Matt, much loved mother of Michael and the late Shirley and a dear mother-in-law, loving grandma and great-grandma. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, September 16 at 10.45 a.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel. Albert (Ex-Employee for 45 years of the United Bus Company), aged 81 years, beloved husband of the late Olga, loving dad to Allan and Jeannette, also a devoted grandad of Wayne and Lorraine.
