HODGE - Gladys (nee McCutcheon), aged 80 years, originally from West Auckland, died February 25, after a short illness. Sister of the late Frances, Reg and Dennis, a much loved mother to Sheila and Pauline, also a dearly loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral to be held in Woking, Surrey.

HODGSON - Bert, aged 84 years, of Eastfield Lodge, Leyburn (formerly of West Burton), died peacefully in hospital on February 26. Committal service at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, March 7 at 11.45 a.m., followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at West Burton Methodist Chapel at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only please, donations if desired may be given in Chapel for Brentwood Day Centre. Friends please meet at the Chapel.

HODGSON - February 27, of Tindale Crescent, Bishop Auckland. Allan, a dear uncle, brother, brother-in-law, father who had a loving relationship with Stella. Will family and friends please meet for service in St. Helen's Church at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, followed by interment in West Auckland Cemetery.

HOPPER - Tragically as the result of a traffic accident on February 21. Julian, aged 31 years, beloved son of the late Kenneth and Susan, devoted and loved brother of Sarah, Lizzie, Ralph and Warwick, respected and loved by all his family and friends. OBE RAF Retired, beloved husband of Gay, father of the late Penny and dear grandfather of Sarah, Helen and Ben. Resident of Sadberge and North Fort Myers, Florida. Member of Dinsdale Golf Club and past member of Darlington Operatic Society. To be cremated in Florida.

LONGSTAFF - February 26, after illness borne with great courage, dignity and humour. David, aged 62 years, of Heighington. Much loved husband and best friend of Pauline, loving dad of Debbie and Craig, dear father-in-law to John, adored grandad of Tori, Morgan and Lillie, a very special brother, brother-in-law and uncle who is an inspiration to everyone, a loyal and loving friend.
