A brother, brother-in-law and uncle to be proud of and a friend to rely on. Funeral service Tuesday, April 3 at St. John's Church, Shildon, 9.15 a.m., to be followed by cremation at Darlington. John Vincent, aged 70 years, dearly loved husband of Sheila, a dearest father of Ian and Heather and father-in-law to Jane, also a much loved granda to James and Lucy, also of little Amy, a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. ROBINSON - On March 20, (peace-fully, in hospital), of 22 Dale Grove, Leyburn and formerly of Redmire and Thornton Rust. Phyllis Margaret, aged 86 years. Beloved wife of Jim and dear mother of Peter. Funeral service to be held at St. Mary's Church, Redmire on Wednesday, March 28 at 2.00 p.m. followed by interment in the church yard. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory of Phyllis if so desired may be given at the service for St. Mary's Church. Will friends please meet at the Church and accept this intimation. Funeral service at Northallerton Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 4 at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment. Family flowers only please. Donations, if wished, may be given for the Herriot Hospice Care.

SIMPSON - March 27, (peacefully, in hospital), formerly of Aged Miners Homes, Meadowfield. Mary, aged 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Frank, dearly loved mam of Jenny and John, dear mother-in-law and much loved gran and nana. Danny, aged 54 years, dearly beloved father of Callum and Matthew, son of Jackie and the late Ronnie Swan and a dear brother and brother-in-law. Will be sadly missed by Ronnie, Sheila, Maggie and all his family, many friends, colleagues and pupils at Durham Johnston School. THRELFALL - Olive Mary (nee Eyles), aged 94 years, formerly of Northside, Scorton died peacefully at Rosedale Nursing Home, Catterick Garrison on March 23. Beloved wife of the late Dick, much loved mum of Mary and Ian, dear mother-in-law to Arthur and Kath, loving nan of Tracy and Roger and step-mother to Edith. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, March 30 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel. No letters, cards or flowers please at Olive's own request. If desired donations may be given on the plate provided at the Crematorium Chapel for the British Diabetic Association and the British Heart Found-ation. All friends including those who are unable to attend the service are most welcome to join the family at The Farmers Arms, Scorton from approximately 12.30 p.m. to celebrate Olive's life.
