BLACKLOCK Marion Lily Blacklock (nee Merrilees), date of birth September 8, 1895, died peacefully in The Terrace Nursing Home, Richmond, North Yorkshire at 03.30 hours on June 30, 2003. She leaves two children, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was the oldest person in Richmond and possibly in North Yorkshire. She lived in or through the reigns of six sovereigns; born in Edinburgh, Scotland, worked in munitions during W.W.1, married in Newcastle-upon-Tyne to a Lancashire man from Bolton, lived in Billingham-on-Tees and later Dormanstown before moving to Richmond. A grand old matriarch, almost 108 years young. Cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, July 4 at 10.45 a.m. No flowers please.
