Dearly loved mam of Stephen and Sandra, mother-in-law of Simon and Catherine, a much loved sister and sister-in-law of Margaret and Colin and a dearest gran of Iam, Paul, Daniel, Joshua and Holly. Service in Independent Methodist Chapel on Tuesday at 12.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Would friends please meet at chapel. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Macmillan Cancer Care Fund.

RODHAM June 25, peacefully at home, High Etherley, Bishop Auckland. Milly, aged 85 years, wife of the late William, also a much loved and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. BLACKLOCK Marion Lily Blacklock (nee Merrilees), date of birth September 8, 1895, died peacefully in The Terrace Nursing Home, Richmond, North Yorkshire at 03.30 hours on June 30, 2003. She leaves two children, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was the oldest person in Richmond and possibly in North Yorkshire. She lived in or through the reigns of six sovereigns; born in Edinburgh, Scotland, worked in munitions during W.W.1, married in Newcastle-upon-Tyne to a Lancashire man from Bolton, lived in Billingham-on-Tees and later Dormanstown before moving to Richmond. A grand old matriarch, almost 108 years young. Cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, July 4 at 10.45 a.m. No flowers please.

BOWES June 26 (suddenly), of Grendon Gardens, Middleton-St-George. Dorothy, aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of the late Walter, much loved mam of Lily, Peter and Colin, dear mother-in-law of Gerald and Julie, dearest grandma of Lee and Martyn and loving great-grandma of Zoe and Aidan.
