Vada M. Grizzle
CLEVELAND, Va. -- Mrs. Vada M. Grizzle, 75, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, in Russell County Medical Center.
She was a native of Russell County, had lived in Lockport Ill., returning to Russell County 18 years ago, and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Lockport, Ill.
Survivors include her husband, Denny Edward "Bill" Grizzle; one son, Richard David Grizzle, Lockport, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Fields, Castlewood, and Mrs. Mildred Cox, St. Paul; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Peyton E. Hanna
Peyton Eugene Hanna, 71, of 13263 Wallace Pike, Bristol, Va., died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one sister, Mildred Hanna, of the home; one brother, J.D. Hanner, Bristol, Virginia; one niece, Eleanor Vails, Falls Church, Va.

Dollie H. Hibbitts
COEBURN -- Dollie Haynes Hibbitts, 77, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, in Norton Community Hospital.
She was a former resident of Dickenson County, had lived in Russell and Wise counties for the past few years, and was the widow of Robert Arnold Hibbitts.
Survivors include two daughters, Laverna Jewele Mullins, Coeburn, and Delilah Ferne Conley, Tazewell; three brothers, Marlin Haynes, Manassas, Tolly Haynes, Rustburg, Va., and Landon Haynes, Manassas; five sisters, Julia McFall, Mansfield, Ohio, Joyce Lee Willis, Fredricksburg, Minnie Phipps and Winnie Mullins, both of Clintwood, and Augusta Adams, Alexandria; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Bob A. Honaker Sr.
Bob Allen Honaker Sr., 61, of 153 Webb Court Drive, Bristol, Tenn., died Friday, Feb. 6, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Bristol, a U.S. Army Reserves Master Sgt., retired, was employed by Monroe and was retired from Orkin Exterminating.
He was a charter member of Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church and a former deacon at Fairmount Presbyterian Church.
He was a 1955 graduate of Tennessee High School.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Honaker; three sons, Stephen Rhea Honaker, Bristol, Tennessee, Bob Allen Honaker II, Winter Haven, Fla., and Christopher John Honaker, Bluff City; one daughter, Sara Jo Carrier, Bristol, Tennessee; one sister, Betty H. Gray, Bristol, Tennessee; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Birdie E. Hostrawser
Birdie Elizabeth Bays Hostrawser, 92, of Greendale Home for the Aged, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was a resident of the Bristol area most of her life and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include two nieces, Shirley Jackson, Bristol, Tennessee, and Ruby Clark, Fountain Hills, Ariz.; and one nephew, Richard Bays, Bristol, Tennessee.

Kederick Kennedy
COEBURN -- Kederick " Ted" Kennedy, 91, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, in Heritage Hall Nursing Facility, Big Stone Gap.
He was a retired employee of Clinchfield Coal Company, a member of UMWA District 28 Local 1269, and was a member of Banner Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Alice Hileman Kennedy.
Survivors include two sons, Kester Kennedy, Wise, and Paul Kennedy, Coeburn; one daughter, Mrs. Darrell (Rita Joe Kennedy) Salyer, Kensington, Md.; two sisters, Rosie Richardson, Wise, and Wathia Richardson, Sandusky, Ohio; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Inez M. Lockner
BLUFF CITY -- Inez M. Hayes Lockner, 88, of 437 Hayes Road, Hickory Tree Community, died Friday, Feb. 6, 1998, in Wellmont Hospice House.
She was a lifelong resident of the Hickory Tree community, a member of Hickory Tree Union Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years, and the widow of Joseph P. "Joe" Lockner.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Gay) Cox and Mrs. Doug (Wanda) Clark, both of Bristol, Tennessee; three sons, Jack Lockner, Ernest Lockner and Wayne Lockner, all of Hickory Tree; two sisters, Bertha Smith, Hickory Tree, and Marie Perrigan, Bristol, Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Johnson CITY -- Mrs. Lucile J. Mabry, of 2022 Sherwood Drive, Apartment 401, formerly of Mountain City and Shady Valley, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, in Appalachian Christian Village.
She was a native of Mississippi and had made her home in
Johnson County for many years before moving to
Johnson City.
She was a member of Harmon Chapel Christian Church, Shady Valley, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a song leader and member of the church choir.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Hatley T. Mabry; two daughters, Martha Davis, Pantego, N.C., and Peggy Leslie, Piney Flats; two sisters, Christine Chaney, Tupelo, Miss., and Ruth Kraft, Sun City, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

DAMASCUS -- Margaret E. Henderson Manuel died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
She was a lifelong resident of Damascus, a charter member of Sutherland Community Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years, and was the widow of Coy W. Manuel.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Peery (Vivian) Martin, Damascus, Mrs. Howard (Violet) Miller and Mrs. Tommy (Robin) Fletcher, both of Shady Valley; one son, Harold P. Manuel, Damascus; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Cooper and Mrs. Virginia Plummer, both of Damascus, and Mrs. Nancy Eggers, Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Paul Henderson, Damascus; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
