ABINGDON -- Frank Easterly Jr., 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and a retired employee of the Washington County Sheriff's Department.
He was a charter member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church where he had held numerous offices in the church.
He was also a member of Abingdon Masonic Lodge No. 48 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Gaye O. Easterly; a daughter, Kittye Owens, Bristol Virginia, a sister, Jane Murph, Kingsport; two grandchildren, Angela Owens and Pamela Clements; and two great-grandchildren.

Madelyn Fletcher
GRUNDY -- Madelyn Fletcher, 73, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, in a Grundy hospital.
She was a native of Buchanan County and a former employee of The Deskins Supermarkets.
She was also a member of The Little Prater Church of Christ and a homemaker.
She was the widow of Alden Fletcher.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Stanley, Grundy; two sons, Harless Fletcher, Grundy, and Tommy Fletcher, Bristol Virginia; five grandchildren, Mark Fletcher, Shawn Fletcher, Chuck Stanley, John Lark and Sharon Lark; and two great-grandchildren.

MARION -- Jeston Hamm Gillespie, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Roy E. ABINGDON -- Michael "Curtis" Reynolds, 16, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was a lifelong resident of Abingdon.
He was a sophomore at Abingdon High School and was attending the Neff Vocational Center.
Survivors include his parents, Mike and Lisa Alexander Reynolds, Abingdon; a brother, Joshua Reynolds, of the home; a sister, Megan Reynolds, of the home; his paternal grandfather, James Reynolds, Abingdon; and several aunts and uncles.

LAUREL, Md. -- William R. Testerman, 70, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, in the VA Hospital, Washington, D.C.
He was a native of Smyth County and had worked as an auto mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Testerman; a daughter, Mary Ruth Trent, Ladson, S.C.; a son, Robert E. Testerman, Laurel, his mother, Winnie Christian, Laurel; four sisters, Susie Goldsborough, Linda Testerman and Betty Selby, all of Laurel, and Mary Waskey, Marion, Va.; two brothers, Martin Testerman, Manassas, Va., and Elmer Testerman, Chilhowie, Va.

SALTVILLE, Va. -- Mrs. Hannah A. Workman, 94, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Saltville.
Survivors include two sons, William A. Workman, Saraland, Ala., and James E. Workman, Hephzibah, Ga.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ryland E. Bise
CHURCH HILL -- Ryland E. Bise, 322 Hunt Ave., died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at his home.
He was a native of Dickenson County, had been a resident of Kingsport for the past 60 years, and retired from Tennessee Eastman Company in 1976 with 39 years of service.
He was a member of Kingsport Masonic Lodge No. 688, the Knoxville Consistery of Scottish Rite Masons and the Jericho Temple of the Shrine. He was a member of the Sullivan County Scottish Rite Club and the Liberty Chapter 198 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
He was a charter member of the Kingsport Lifesaving Crew and a member of the First Baptist Church, of Church Hill. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maggie Brummitt.
Survivors include his wife, Nina McDavid Bise; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Shirley) Whitaker, Bluff City; three stepsons, Sherman Culbertson and Melvin Culbertson, both of Gate City, and Mark Culbertson, Clarksville, Tenn; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jerry (Ethel) Conley, Gate City; a sister, Lois Stallard, Coeburn; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; 11 step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a native of Russell County, attended the Assembly of God Church, St. Paul, and the Ark of Faith Church, Castlewood.
She was the widow of Earl "Wick" Gibson.
Survivors include five daughters, Patsy Chafin, Alexandria, Va., Mary Pannell, Cleveland, Va., Janie Edmonds, Susie Ellis and Carolyn Townes, all of Castlewood; five sons, John Gibson, Abingdon, Larry Gibson, Bristol Virginia, Jim Gibson, Gary Gibson and Mike Gibson, all of Castlewood; two brothers, William Edward "Midge" Porter and Marion Stuart "Sam" Porter, both of Castlewood; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
