James W. Justus
GRUNDY -- Funeral services for James Woodrow Justus will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Clark Memorial Presbyterian Church in Roseann by Grundy Funeral Home. The Rev. Joel Thornton and evangelist Mike Rife will officiate. Burial will be in Justus Family Cemetery in Roseann.
Mr. Justus, 74, of the Roseann area of Route 1, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, in Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy.
He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, a son of the late John W. and Gracie Rife Justus. He was a member of Clark Memorial Presbyterian Church and a retired electrician from Pittston Coal Co.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Lasley Justus; two daughters, Renee Justus of Grundy and Brenda Sue Hurley of Hurley; three sons, Michael Justus of Hurley, Bill Justus of Grundy and Richey Justus of Sandusky, Ohio; a stepson, Billy Richer of Florida; six sisters, Berchie Wolford of Grundy, Helen Zekert of Suffolk, Leona Polly Stacy, Betty Prater and Phyllis Sumrall, all of Hurley, and Mandy Compton of High Point, N.C.; two brothers, Johnny Justus and William Pat Justus, both of Grundy; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Mr. Justus was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Horne; and two brothers, Clark and Franklin D. Justus.
Pallbearers will be nephews
Carter Justus, Jamie Justus and George Justus. Honorary pallbearers will be Sid Compton, Charlie Blankenship and all men of Clark Memorial Presbyterian Church.
There will be services at the church Friday at 7 p.m.

DECATUR, Ga. -- Funeral services for Leslie Edward Lambert will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. in Clintwood Funeral Home. Minister Lynn Vanover will officiate. Burial will be in Temple Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Lambert, 47, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at his home.

Mr. Mullins, 68, of Cedar Grove Road died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at his home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.

Graveside services for Garland H. Necessary will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Necessary, 86, of 2400 Bradley St., Bristol, Va., died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nannie R. Necessary.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Keen, Jonathan Frazier, Bill Ivey, Wade Necessary, Robbie Ryans and Bill Marrs.

The 6-month-old daughter of Angela Threatt and Eugene Stanley, both of Castlewood, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, in Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon.

Mrs. Vanover, 96, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, in Classic Health Care in Sandusky.

CEDAR BLUFF -- Graveside services for Bob Donald West will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill. Richard
Smith and Keith Matney will officiate. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 p.m. Friday.
Mr. West, 46, of Route 1, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, from injuries sustained in a trucking accident.
He was born in Gulston, Ky., a son of Monroe Lee and Iva Lee Cloud West of Gulston. He was a truck driver for J & S Transport of North Tazewell.
Surviving, besides his parents, are his wife Retta Cooper West; two sons, Eric West and Thomas J. West, both of Atlanta; two daughters, Lori Davis of Richlands and Kelli Laine West of the home; a sister, Vickie West of Gulston; two brothers, William West and Jim West, both of Gulston; and three grandchildren.
Among survivors are grandchildren Abigail Brook Davis and Alexander Austin Davis, both of Richlands, and Eric Shane West of Atlanta.
Pallbearers will be William West, Jim West, Craig West, Eric West and Tim Matney.

Evelyn M. Wright
COEBURN -- Evelyn Metcalf Wright, 88, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, in Norton Community Hospital.
She was a daugther of the late Anderson and Cora Metcalf and the widow of Kelly William Wright Sr. She was a former employee of Toms Creek Commissary, a member and past noble grand of Coeburn Rebekah Lodge 24 and of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are a son, Kelly W. Wright Jr. of Coeburn; a brother, Clell W. Metcalf of Loyall, Ky.; two grandchildren, Kelly William Wright III of Tampa, Fla., and Lisa Faye Wright of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Coeburn. The Rev. John McCarroll will officiate. Burial will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Greenhills Memory Gardens in Richlands.
Mrs. Wright was also preceded in death by her stepfather, James Hardwick Franks; two brothers, Carl Metcalf and Edward Metcalf; and a sister, Myrtle M. Arthur.
Among survivors are daughter-in-law Betsy Wright of Coeburn; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in Sturgill Funeral Home.
