Vivian L. Necessary

BLOUNTVILLE -- Vivian Deleen Leonard Necessary, 80, of 352 Highway 75 died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Hesbia Leonard, a homemaker and a former employee with Bristol Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church and the widow of W. Lester Necessary.
Surviving are three sons, Charles L. "Chuck" Necessary and Harold D. Necessary, both of Blountville, and Jack L. Necessary of Bristol Tennessee; a daughter, Teresa "Terri" Carr of Kingsport; two sisters, Violet Keyees of Maryville, Tenn., and Norma Feagins of Pittsburg, Kan.; five brothers, Trenton Leonard of Bristol Tennessee, Sam Leonard of Houston, Alaska, Winfred Leonard of Clyde, N.C., Bill Leonard of Drew, Miss., and Don Leonard of Chipley, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Charity Baptist Church on Oak Drive in Blountville by Weaver Funeral Home. The Rev. Perry Cleek will officiate. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in East Lawn Cemetery.
Among survivors are daughters-in-law Donna Necessary and Teresa Necessary; and son-in-law Bobby Carr.
Pallbearers will be Chip Necessary, Chad Necessary, Brandon Eanes, Casey Carr, Seth Necessary and Ken Segrest. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Keyees, Michael Dean, Stanley Hodges, Tim Vickers, Ted Williams, Gray Taylor, Hank Green, Larry Smith, John Hardin, Jack Ketron and friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Charity Baptist Church, 123 Oak St., Blountville, TN.
Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Maynard Scott Neece

DANTE -- Funeral services for Maynard Scott Neece will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Darrell Milgrim will officiate. Burial will be in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood.
Mr. Neece, 77, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, in Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Neece, David Woods, Ricky Phillips, Junior Phillips, Jerry Woods, Ray Woods and Fred Heaton. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Milton and Doyal Phillips.
Castlewood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ollie C. Patterson

WYTHEVILLE -- Ollie C. Patterson, 86, a resident of Birdmont Health Care Center, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, in Wythe County Community Hospital.
She was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Rural Retreat and the widow of Mack Patterson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Lindsey Funeral Chapel in Rural Retreat. The Rev. Robert Countiss will officiate. Burial will be in Murphysville Cemetery.
Among survivors are cousins Ray and Donna Moore of Dublin and Ada Hanley of Wytheville; Pauline White of Philadelphia; Murphy family, Brown family, Patterson family and Moore family.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday in Lindsey Funeral Home.

Judge R. Robinette

A Mass of the Resurrection for Judge R. Robinette will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Monday in St. Anne's Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Ianucci will be celebrant. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Robinette, 89, of Bristol Tennessee, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at his home.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Robinette's grandsons, Martin Robinette, Judge Robinette, Craig Robinette, Steven Robinette, David Green, Alan Green, Ryan Craig, Dan Robinette and Noble Robinette. Honorary pallbearers will be Vance Graham Jr., Neil Mooney, William Hepburn, Richard Horner, Charles Worley, Jack Booher, William Bouton and Louis Phetteplace.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Anne's School, 300 Euclid Ave., Bristol, VA 24201, the Wellmont Hospice House, 280 Steele's Road, Bristol, TN 37620, or a charity of choice.
Oakley-Cook Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Aaron W. Rosenbaum

AKRON, Ohio -- Aaron W. "Buzz" Rosenbaum, 88, formerly of Washington County, Va., died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, Joel Rosenbaum of Akron and Larry Rosenbaum of Chicago; a sister, Elizabeth R. Hawkins of Abingdon; three nephews; and a niece.
Services will be held in Akron.

Linda Lou Rosenbaum

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- Linda Lou Rosenbaum, 48, of Green Valley Developmental Center, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, in Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a daughter of Noah and Goldie Rosenbaum and formerly attended Gateway Baptist Church.
Surviving, besides her parents, are four brothers, Jerry Rosenbaum of Andover, Kan., Willie Rosenbaum of Blountville, and Gary Rosenbaum and Harry Rosenbaum, both of Bristol Tennessee; five sisters, Mary Jane Cook and Hattie Goodell, both of Bristol Tennessee, Eva Marshall of Bristol Virginia, Joyce Harrison of Elizabethton and Phyllis Leonard of Bluff City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Larry Hall will officiate. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Weaver's Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to the service Tuesday in Weaver Funeral Home.

Jettie W. Smith

SWORDS CREEK, Va. -- Funeral services for Jettie Whited Smith will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Honaker Funeral Home Chapel. Ival Mitchell, Leslie Ritchie and the Rev. Carl Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill.
Mrs. Smith died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, in Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands.
Pallbearers will be John L. Bostic, Clarence Bostic, Arnold Bostic, Randall Dye, Charles Gent, Robert Gent and Mark Bostic. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Emad Kowatli and Dr. Roy Gomez.
Honaker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Ella B. Spraker

CROCKETT, Va. -- Mary Ella Blessing Spraker, 91, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, in Wytheville Manor.
She was born in Wythe County, a daughter of the late Floyd Lafayette Blessing and Lucy Groseclose Blessing. She was the widow of George Daniel Spraker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son, Grover Spraker of Crockett; a brother, Ernest Emory Blessing of Crimora; five granddaughters, Linda M. Walker of Seven Mile Ford, Becky M. Courtney, Lisa S. Wilson and Karen S. Umberger, all of Rural Retreat, and Traci S. Roberts of Wytheville; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Lindsey Funeral Chapel at Rural Retreat. Pastor Edward Schaak will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Crockett.
Mrs. Spraker was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel S. Miller; four brothers; and two sisters.
Among survivors are daughter-in-law Betty Spraker of Crockett; son-in-law Richard Miller of Crockett; grandsons-in-law Jim Walker of Seven Mile Ford, Donnie Courtney, Doug Wilson and Jimmy Umberger, all of Rural Retreat, and Larry Roberts of Wytheville; and brother-in-law and wife Charles Henry and Mary Margaret Spraker of Wytheville.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home or any time at the home of a son, Grover Spraker.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Zion Lutheran Cemetery, c//o Debbie Cregger, Route 1, Box 154-A, Rural Retreat, VA 24368.

Pauline S. Stamas

DAYTON, Ohio -- Funeral services for Pauline Stephenson Stamas will be conducted Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Timothy Bird will officiate. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery. Those attending the graveside services may assemble at the cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Stamas, 77, of 279 Pamela Ave., died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at her home.
She was born and raised in Washington County, Va., a daughter of the late Hugh A. and Lydia Boro Stephenson. She had lived in Dayton for more than 50 years and was a member of the Church of God in Dayton. She retired from General Motors with 35 years of service and was a member of several women's clubs. She was the widow of John Stamas.
Surviving are four sisters, Verna Schmidt of Hampton, Va., Kathleen Orr of Knoxville, Hallie White of Bristol Virginia and Evelyn Hurley of Bluff City; three brothers, LeRoy E. Stephenson of Clinchburg, Hugh A. Stephenson Jr. of Bristol Tennessee, and William H. Stephenson of Oak Ridge, Tenn; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stamas, an avid bowler, was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Roger Stephenson and James Franklin Stephenson.
Among survivors is a special niece, Betty Lowe of Hampton.
Betty was a special angel to Pauline in her time of need and gave her time, love and compassion.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Farris Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Old Glade Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or to the Church of God, Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio.

Clarence Stiltner

BLUFF CITY -- Clarence "C.A." Stiltner, 70, formerly of Vansant, Va., died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol Tennessee.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Buchanan Funeral Service of Keen Mountain, Va.
