JONESVILLE -- Robert "Bobby" Taylor, 41, formerly of Jewell Ridge, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Hurst-Scott Funeral Home of Richlands.
Frances H. Webb
ABINGDON -- Funeral services for Frances H. Webb will be conducted Thursday at 8 p.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Betty R. Bishop will officiate. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Webb, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Washington County, Va., a daughter of the late Garland and Marguerite May Humphrey. She retired from Johnston Memorial Hospital after 33 years of nursing. She was a member of Rich Valley United Methodist Church and served as secretary of the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are her husband, Cecil Webb; two daughters, Patricia W. Casey of Bristol Tennessee and Linda May Webb of Bristol Virginia; two sisters, Irene Wallace and Hope Humphrey, both of Abingdon; and a grandchild.
Among survivors are grandchild Shannon Lee Casey of Bristol Tennessee; son-in-law Rufus Casey of Bristol Tennessee; and Linda May Webb's fiance, Walter Duty.
Pallbearers will be Earl Fogleman, Kenneth Worley, John Reynolds Jr., Wayne Turley, Wiley Price and Clarence Tedder. Alternate pallbearers will be Bill Davis and Wilmer Grubb. Honorary pallbearers will be the nursing staff of Johnston Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. before the service Thursday in Farris Funeral Service.

Delbert R. Williamson
RICHLANDS -- Funeral services for Delbert R. Williamson will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff. The Rev. Max Linkous will officiate. Entombment will be in Greenhills Mausoleum at Claypool Hill.
Mr. Williamson, 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, in a Richlands hospital.
Pallbearers will be Danny Williamson, John M. McClintock Jr., David Williamson, Jeff Shelton, Gaines Tatum, Clayton Smith, Randall Nickols and Mike Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Brown, David Bays, Dr. M.J. Thakkar, Dr. James McVey, Doug Steele, Jack Altizer, Bill Beavers, Maylon Jennings, Bob White, Bob Nassif and Arnold Short.

Willard G. Bays Sr.
WISE -- Willard Gothard "W.G." Bays Sr., 81, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, in Norton Community Hospital.
He was a son of the late J.H. and Martha Holbrook Bays. He was a graduate of St. Paul High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Emory & Henry College and a master's degree from the University of Alabama. He was a member of Emory & Henry Sports Hall of Fame as a football player. He was a retired teacher in Wise County School System, a former coach at J.J. Kelly High School, Pound High School and Coeburn High School and was an official for high school sports for more than 35 years.
He was a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy, serving as an aviator during World War II. He was a charter member of Gladeville Presbyterian Church, a charter member of Wise Lions Club since 1953, a member of Buckhorn Hunting Club and Cumberland Mountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Lawson Bays; a daughter, Becky Massie of Wise; five sons, Robert Bays and Scotty Bays, both of Wise, Gerald "Coy" Bays of Big Stone Gap, O.J. Bays of Coeburn and Fred Bays of Durham, N.C.; three brothers, Carlton Bays of Bristol Virginia, Truman Bays of Richlands and Bill Bays of Indianapolis; two sisters, Wilma Evans and Irene Holbrook, both of Coeburn; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Temple Hill Memorial Park by Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise. The Rev. Will Gipe and Dr. George Aichel will officiate. Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Gladeville Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Bays was also preceded in death by three brothers, Orville Bays, Homer Bays and Elmer Bays; two sisters, Gladys Gillespie and Estelle Salyer; and a son, Willard G. Bays Jr.
Among survivors are son-in-law Robert Massie of Wise; daughters-in-law Jean Bays of Wise, Beth Bays of Big Stone Gap and Teressa Bays of Durham; grandchildren Meagan Bays, Jeremy Massie and Jessie Massie; and step-grandchildren Kim Bays and Eric Phillips.
Mr. Bays was an avid outdoorsman.
Honorary pallbearers will be former ball players from Wise, Pound and Coeburn high schools.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service Saturday at the church. There will be no visitation in Sturgill Funeral Home.

Blanche S. Blevins
Blanche Simerly Blevins, 79, of 922 Tennessee Ave., Bristol, Tenn., died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at her home.
She was born in Sullivan County, a daughter of the late John F. Simerly and Lillie M. Beeler Simerly. She had lived her entire life in the Bristol area and was a former employee of Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church and the widow of Leonard L. Blevins.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann Burdine of Blountville and Brenda Marlene Smalling of Bluff City; two sons, Ronald Lee Blevins of Kingsport and Philip Michael Blevins of Blountville; a sister, Marjorie Whitson of Greenfield, Ind.; a brother, Ray Simerly of Bristol Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at noon in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. David Burton will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Among survivors are sons-in-law Victor Burdine and Ronald Smalling; and daughters-in-law Becky Blevins and Betty Rumph.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

Walter Cline Sr.
KINGSPORT -- Funeral services for Walter James Cline Sr. will be conducted Friday at 7 p.m. in Carter-Trent Funeral Home Chapel, downtown Kingsport. Pastor Lonnie Wooten Jr. and the Rev. John Anderson will officiate. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Larkin Cemetery in Stanley Valley.
Mr. Cline, 69, of 103 Dalton St., died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at his home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Cline, Walter Cline Jr., Joshua Cline, Leon Cline, Bobby Shaffer and Ron Carmack. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sullivan County Bird Dog Club.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home or any time at the residence.

Leslie B. Copenhaver
ORANGE CITY, Fla. -- Dr. Leslie Betts Copenhaver, 92, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, in West Volusia Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Bristol Tennessee, a son the late of Meek Hampton and Molly Betts Copenhaver. He attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and earned his doctor of medicine degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1931.
After an internship in Richmond and a residency at Boston Dispensary (now Tufts Medical College), Dr. Copenhaver lived in North Woodstock in the area of New Hampshire. After retirement in 1974, he lived in New Hampshire and Orange City. He was of the Baptist faith and attended First Congregation Church in Orange City. He was a member of New Hampshire Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the World Medical Association and was a Fellow of the American Academy of General Practice. He was on the staff of Littleton, N.H., Hospital and a director of the Pemigewasset National Bank.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Rosemary T. Copenhaver; a brother, Dr. Charles Copenhaver of Littleton; three daughters, Marcia Barrere of Orlando, Nancy Macaulay of Micanopy and Joanne Walsh of New Hamapton, N.H.; a son, Frank Copenhaver of Wausau, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

COEBURN -- Funeral services for Charles Robert "Bob" Eakin will be conducted Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Estes Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Allen Shupe will officiate. Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton.
Mr. Eakin, 56, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, in St. Mary's Hospital in Norton.

Hazel M. Eanes
ABINGDON -- Funeral services for Hazel M. Eanes will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Sherman Thayer and Don Paxton will officiate. Burial will be in Knollkreg Memorial Park.
Mrs. Eanes, 81, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, in Grace Healthcare.

James B. Farris
Funeral services for James Braxton Farris will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel by Weaver Funeral Home. The Revs. Dan little and Ross Mangrum will officiate. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Family and friends will meet at the Glenwood Mausoleum for the funeral service.
Mr. Farris, 74, of 8389 Wagner Road, Bristol, Va., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at his home.
He was born in Plasterco, Va., a son of the late James D. and Willie L. Farris. He had lived in the Bristol area most of his life. He was a production supervisor with Monroe, a former plant manager with Castle Mobile Homes and retired as plant manager from Davis Pipe Co. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Blountville and a member of Shelby Masonic Lodge 0162. He was a U.S. Marion Corps veteran of World War II, a life member of the DAV and a charter member of Patton Crosswhite VFW Post 6975 of Bristol.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Lee Lamb Farris; three daughters, Patricia Smith, Brenda Spradlyn and Rebecca Odum; two sons, James Farris and Anthony Farris; a brother, Giles H. Farris; 14 granddaughters; two grandsons; two great-grandsons; four nieces; and four nephews.
Among survivors are sons-in-law Mickey Smith, Johnny Spradlyn and Guy Odum; and daughters-in-law Deborah Farris and Erma Farris.
The family of Mr. Farris is grateful to know that he went to be with the Lord.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Smith, Johnny Spradlyn, Guy Odum, Michael Smith, Steve Barker and Ricky Farris.
