She attended Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati and enrolled at the University of Cincinnati with the intent of becoming a chemical librarian.

At the University of Cincinnati, she met and eventually married Bernard L. Eisler, a fellow student at the college.Their proposal was made with the idea that both of them would emigrate to Palestine and fight in the war for the creation of Israel. She was co-chairman of the board of the Agudath Sholom Synagogue and a an active member of the Temple Sisterhood. She was also an officer in the League of Women Voters.

Mrs. Eisler was an enthusiastic cardplayer, and usually played bridge or mahjong at least once a week. A member of the Lynchburg Suburban Woman’s Club, she ran that organization’s Senior Bridge Program. She was also an avid reader and crossword puzzle fanatic. Her range of trivia was legendary! In the late 1960’s, she appeared on Channel 10’s Klub Kwiz, for 21 straight weeks. In that stretch, considered a record by former host Hayden Huddleston, she never missed a question.
