PRYOR
Brown Fleming Pryor, 85, of Goochland, died April 4, 2001 in a Richmond hospital. He was born July 15, 1915 in Tazewell County, son of the late Alfred F. and Grace Brown Pryor. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Pryor; and one grandson, Joseph Brown Pryor. Brown was a life member and elder of Forest Grove Church and was a member and Past Master of Cabell Lodge No. 328 A.F. & A.M. in Kents Store. He was a farmer as well as worked for Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Company for 30 years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Pryor served as clerk of the Goochland General District Court from 1944 to 1969. He was very active in civic affairs having served on the Board of Directors of Goochland County Farm Bureau; was a charter member of the Goochland County Planning Commission, serving from 1956 to 1971; a member of the Goochland Forum Club; and a past member of the Hadensville Fire and Rescue Company. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian Pryor of 61 years; three sons and their wives, Ernest and Judy, Andrew and Brenda, Wayne and Pattie; eight grandchildren, Ernie Pryor, Kim P. Spence and her husband, Aaron, Susan, Mark, Cathy, Andy, Elizabeth and Stephen Ross Pryor; a great-granddaughter, Mattingly Reid Spence; and one brother, Alfred Pryor Jr. and his wife, Regina; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Pryor. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Forest Grove Christian Church conducted by the Rev. Wayne Martin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full Masonic Rites. Family will receive friends at the Sheridan Funeral Home, Kents Store from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Forest Grove Church Building Fund, Hadensville, Va. 23067.

RHEA
Harold J. Rhea, age 78, of Farmville, died April 2, 2001, in Richmond. Survived by his wife, Gladys Rhea; one son, Michael Rhea and his wife, Leslie; three grandchildren, Michael II, Gabriel and Magdalena "Maggie" Rhea, all of Richmond. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (today) in the Farmville Baptist Church. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Farmville Baptist Church Organ Fund or the Virginia State Golf Association Scholarship Fund. Arrangements are by the Shorter Funeral Home of Farmville.

SCHUBERT
Bernice M. Schubert, age 70, of German School Road, Richmond, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001. Mrs. Schubert was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt, and a terrific human being loved from coast to coast. She will be missed. Arrangements by K.L. Jordan Funeral Services, 5008 Nine Mile Road. Funeral services for Mr. Everett P. Shaw, 90, of Richmond, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday (today) at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Interment 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Bowling Green, Va.

SHOOK
A memorial service for Mrs. Marjorie Brulle Shook, who died January 20, 2001, will be held at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury, 132 Lancaster Drive, Irvington, Va., on Saturday, April 7, 2001 at 2 p.m. The family will greet friends thereafter at a reception in the library.

TAYLOR
Donald Glen Taylor, 82, of Chester, died April 3, 2001, in Chippenham Medical Center. Mr. Taylor was born in Waynesburg, Ohio, a son of the late Charles V. and Rena Gibler Taylor. He was a World War II veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Army Marching Band and Orchestra, and was a retired tool and die maker from the General Motors Corp. plant in Columbus, Ohio. A loving father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ruth Alice Taylor and is survived by five children, Don S. Taylor of Kenner, La., Rebecca L. Skirbunt and Martha L. Johnson, both of Chester, Deborah A. Wise of Lexington, Ohio, Christine L. Jenkins of Dothan, Ala., Mark V. Taylor of Chester; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, in the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The interment will be private.

TINDALL
Dorothy Jones Tindall, age 74, died April 4, 2001. She is survived by three daughters, Janet T. Clarke and husband, Eddie of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Dianne T. Mitchell and husband, Keith of Emporia, Kathy T. Bailey of Knightdale, N.C., and husband, Daniel E. Bailey of Clinton, N.C.; one son, James Harold Tindall and wife, Carol of Houston, Texas; one brother, John M. Jones and wife, Willie K. Jones of Hueytown, Ala.; nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 6, 10 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, Emporia. Interment will follow in the Emporia Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the residence, 204 E. York Dr., Emporia, Thursday (today), April 5, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 310 N. Main St., Emporia, Va. Echols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

WAYT
Eleanor Brooks Wayt, 90, of Richmond, widow of James Brian Brooks, and wife of Hampton Heiskill Wayt Jr., died April 3, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Brooks Smith and her husband, Gordon Smith of Satellite Beach, Fla., and Phoebe West Brooks of Richmond; her stepgrandsons, Howard J. Wayt Jr. and Hampton Charles Wayt; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was educated at Hamilton College, Columbia University, the Art Students League and Traphagans School. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital or to Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Edward Rush Young, age 81, of Richmond, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Ginter Park Presbyterian Church, 3601 Seminary Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Ginter Park Presbyterian Church. Spencer E. Anderson of Doswell, Va. departed this life November 3, 2001. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Ida M. Anderson; father, James E. Anderson; four children; devoted brother Ronald M. Anderson; four sisters, Tawanda Anderson, Nicole Robinson, Jasmine Smith and Reavie Fox; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt Anderson; three aunts, six uncles, and a number of other relatives and friends. Evelyn Gibson Barnes of Richmond died November 6, 2001. Mrs. Barnes retired in 1982 from the ABC Board after 15 years of service. She is survived by her husband, E.B. Barnes; a daughter, Brenda Styles and her husband, Wayne of Glen Allen; two grandsons, Jason Styles and his wife, Andie and Kenneth Styles. Mrs. Barnes was a lifelong member of Fairmount Christian Church. Remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., where the family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 9. John Bradley Buhrman, age 74, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2001 after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Rada Frostick Buhrman; a daughter and her husband, Lee Ann B. and Owen D. Murnane Jr. of Johnson City, Tenn.; a son, J. Bradley Buhrman Jr. of Camden, S.C.; a son and his wife, William C. and Karen M. Buhrman of Asheboro, N.C.; a son, Joseph S. Frostick of Richmond; a daughter and her husband, Joy F. and Gregg Londrey of Richmond, a son and his wife, Jerry R. and Amy M. Frostick of Virginia Beach; 13 grandchildren, Brianna, Erin and Kaelen Dare Murnane, Julie, Laura and Steven Buhrman, Whitney and Blake Frostick, David, Sarah and Matthew Londrey, Christine Dare and Kelly Frostick; a brother and his wife, Frank A. and Louise Buhrman; and other in-laws, Grace Buhrman, Christine Buhrman, Margaret Buhrman, Robert P. Holt, Heath and Peggy Rada, Joyce and "Buddy" Selden, Kitty and Henry Frostick, Anita W. Frostick, all of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Buhrman graduated from John Marshall High School and attended Randolph Macon College. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a co-owner of Buhrman & Sons, Inc., a member of Chamberlayne Heights United Methodist Church, a member of the Hermitage Country Club, and a member of Jefferson Lakeside Country Club, and a past board member of the Henrico Farm Bureau. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Chamberlayne Heights United Methodist Church, 6100 Chamberlayne Rd. CAMETAS
Joie Young Cametas, 64, of Manakin-Sabot, Va., passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2001. She was born in Radford, Va. and was preceded in death by her father, Ottie Eldridge Young and brother, David William Young. She was married to John Gus Cametas, M.D. and is survived by one daughter, Krista Cametas Jones; three sons, Gus John Cametas, Nikoloas Basilious Cametas and John Stefan Cametas; two daughters-in-law, Stephanie Anne Cametas and Jody Petersen Cametas; one son-in-law, John Ernest Jones III; three grandchildren, John Nikolas Cametas, Nicole Marie Cametas and Thomas Mason Cametas. She is also suvived by her mother, Evelyn Nelson Young of Radford; two sisters, Frankie Young Tate of Roanoke and Peggy Young Epperly of Radford; one brother, Samuel Lewis Young of Radford; and her mother-in-law, Sophia K. Cametas, formerly of Christiansburg; five nieces and four nephews, along with several cousins and many friends. Mrs. Cametas graduated from Radford High School, where she was president of the Beta Club and graduated with high honors. She received her B.A. in Music from the Radford College Womens Division of Virginia Polytechnic Institute. She further received a Masters Degree in Guidance and Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. She taught school in the City of Hampton and Henrico County until 1971. She was a founding member of citizens of Goochland, Greenwall, and The Piedmont Environmental Council. Mrs. Cametas was one of Goochland County's leading environmentalists who was concerned with preserving its rural character while encouraging smart growth and civic involvement. She was a talented artist and wonderful grandmother. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. with a memorial at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2001 at Bliley Funeral Home, 3801 Augusta Ave. Funeral services will be held at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Malvern Ave. at 1 p.m., November 9, 2001. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution to the Leukemia Society of America.

CASADO-MARCANO
Juan Casado-Marcano, 83, of Newport News, departed this life Monday, November 5, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Casado; three children, Maria F. Crenshaw of Richmond, Va., Marisa Casado of Atlanta, Ga. and Juan A. Casado of Newport News, Va.; and five grandchildren, Anthony, Bryan and Christopher Crenshaw and Melanie and Juan A. Casado. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 10, at 11 a.m. in Fort Eustis Regimental Memorial Chapel. Burial in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 12893 Jefferson Ave., Newport News, Va. 23602.
