Norris Prillaman Miller
Norris Prillaman Miller, 84, of Friendship Health Care Center in Roanoke, formerly of Barrows Mill Road, Martinsville, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at the center.
She was born May 11, 1921, in Henry County to Lafe Pence Prillaman and Pearl Gauldin Prillaman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Paul Miller.
Surviving are daughter Lynne Miller Hall of Roanoke; son Gregg Raymond Miller of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Clara Davis of Martinsville and Zada Oakes of Dry Fork; four brothers, James Prillaman, Berkley Prillaman and Norman Prillaman, all of Martinsville; and Kenneth Prillaman of Forrest; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a retired executive secretary with Pulaski Furniture Co., a member of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Norris Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. John K. Boyd officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association, 2728 Colonial Ave., Suite 2, Roanoke, Va. 24015.

Lois Mason Purdy
Lois Mason Purdy, 82, of Fork Mountain Adult Rest Home, Rocky Mount, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at the rest home.
Norris Funeral Services will announce arrangements.

Jennie Saul Rea
Jennie Saul Rea, 76, of Stuart, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was born on Feb. 5, 1929, in Eden, N.C., to Cliff Saul and Pauline Paige Saul Joyce.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Walter D. Rea Jr.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda R. Flemmons of Charlottesville and Cheryl R. Hooker of Pilot Mountain, N.C., one brother Robert Melvin Joyce of Stoneville, N.C., and two grandchildren.
She was of Christian faith and retired from Swails Insurance Agency after more than 20 years as a bookkeeper.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Howell Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Steve Hayes officiating. Burial will be at Gunter Family Cemetery on Wayside Road.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

John Robert Wingfield Sr.
John Robert Wingfield Sr., 68, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
He was born July 25, 1937, in Patrick County.
He was retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Union 606 of Orlando, Fla., and he was an Air Force veteran.
Surviving are four sons, John R. Wingfield Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., Mark D. Wingfield of Winter Park, Fla., Scott M. Wingfield of Orlando and Michael S. Wingfield of of Umatilla, Fla.; a daughter, Linda K. Hipps of Charleson, S.C.; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Gardens of Memory in Waltertown, N.C.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel.
Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary J. Dellinger
Mary Ruth Jones Dellinger, 80, of 81 Blue ridge Lane, Ridgeway, died Jan. 2, 2006, at her home.
She was born in Bassett on May 24, 1925, to Kenneth E. Jones and Maggie Thacker Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clarence Dellinger; and two brothers, Melvin H. Jones and Kenneth E. Jones Jr.
She retired from Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, and she was a member of Mosley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Dellinger Rowe of Washington, D.C.; and a son, Thomas Kenneth Dellinger of Castle Rock, Colo.
The family will receive friends at the home in Ridgeway from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Townes Funeral Home in Danville.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital of Martinsville, P.O. Box 4788, Martinsville, Va. 24115, or to Horsepasture Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 34, Spencer, Va. 24165.

C. Gary Hundley
Charles "Gary" Hundley, 69, of 109 Warren Court, Martinsville, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
He was born in Fieldale on Nov. 1, 1936, to Frank Hundley and Nannie Stone Hundley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Hundley; a brother, Kenneth Hundley; and a granddaughter, Faith Elizabeth Hundley.
He was an Army veteran and a third generation retiree of Fieldcrest Mills where he worked for 50 years. He was a member of Fieldale Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret H. Hundley of the home; a daughter, Sherry Pruitt of Martinsville; two sons, Rickey Lee Hundley of Danville and Brian Keith Hundley of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; four sisters, Jean H. Harrison and Lee H. Adkins, both of Fieldale, Bonnie H. Griffith of Collinsville and Reva H. Pulliam of Kernersville, N.C.; four brothers, Frank Hundley of Danville, Leo Hundley of Johnson City, Tenn., Johnny Mack Hundley of Laurens, S.C. and R.B. Hundley of Patrick County; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Community Funeral Services in Ridgeway with the Revs. Tim Satterfield and Rickey Hundley officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park with full military honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the funeral Thursday, and other times at the home on Warren Court.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 3907, Martinsville, Va. 24115.

Bobby L. Johnson
GREENSBORO -- Bobby Louis Johnson, 71, of Greensboro, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Handy Johnson of the home; sons, Bobby Wayne Johnson and Michael Johnson; daughters, Susan Wright and Linda Johnson; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, G.W. Helton; and sisters, Nancy Graham, Gladys Elizabeth Gettings, Joyce Ballard and Polly Bledsoe and from Martinsville, Va., Nanny Bell West.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will be at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rocenous F. Myers
Rocenous Fuller "Tina" Myers, 82, of 819 Keel St., Martinsville, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
She was born in Pittsylvania County on March 26, 1923, to George T. Fuller and Rosie Fuller Fuller. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Myers.
She had worked at Hooker Furniture for 18 years and she was a member of Shiloh Way of the Cross Church and the Missionary Department.
Surviving are three daughters, Cluster Myers of Camp Springs, Md., Mable Roberts of Edgewater Park, N.J. and Trudie Hairston of the home; four sons, David Myers and Cecil Myers, both of Martinsville, Acie Myers of Dale City and John Wesley Myers of Edgewater Park; one sister, Callie Allen of Chatham; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Way of the Cross with Bishop Earley Dillard officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church for a half hour prior to the funeral Saturday and other times at the home.
Hines Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Wanda T. Newman
Wanda Turner Newman, 81, of Patrick Springs, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was born in Patrick County on Jan. 11, 1924, to Creed William Turner and Annie Melinda Light Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Light Handy; five brothers, Cecil, Conway, Arnold, Rupert and Norman Turner; and three sisters, Gwendolyn Lawson, Verona Hall and Agnes Thomas.
She retired as a convenience store operator and she was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son, Wasena Conway of Bassett; a daughter, Teresa Dawn Handy of Raleigh, N.C. ; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Community Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
