JOHNSON
James Willie Johnson Sr., departed this life June 14, 2001. He was predeceased by his son, Norris. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, James Jr. and George Johnson; two daughters, Florence Johnson Smith and Sylvia Johnson; son-in-law, Dennis Smith; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; six brothers, Fred, Franklin, Thomas and McKinley, both of King William, George Johnson of Germany; sister, Sarah Neal; five sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law; the mother of his children, Annie Johnson Giles; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave., where funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., with Rev. Keith Manuel. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

LITTLE
Janet Miller Little, age 60, of Crewe, formerly of Amelia, died on Saturday, June 16, 2001 at her home. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie; daughter, Rhonda L. Hodge of Crewe; and granddaughter, Megan; brothers, Al Miller of Fredericksburg, Willie Miller of Mechanicsville; sisters, Nancy Byrd of Amelia, Etta Blonsick of Washington, Margaret Weston of Florida. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday. HILLSMAN HIX FUNERAL HOME

McCLAMMY
George E. McClammy, 80, of Richmond, went to be with his Lord Saturday, June 16, 2001. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Doris Hall McClammy; a daughter, Barbara Battaile and husband, Vic of Midlothian; one son, George Edward McClammy Jr. and wife, Susan of Los Altos, Calif.; grandchildren, Jonathan Battaile of Midlothian, and Sarah McClammy of Los Altos, Calif.; also many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. McClammy retired as Assistant Comptroller from Southern States Co-op, after 45 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a former member of Venable Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church for 35 years, again serving as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, on several committees and was the Outreach Director. He was Registrar for the Richmond Baptist Association for 40 years, a member of Northside Masonic Lodge #292, AF&AM, and Scottish Rite, Past President and Chaplain for the Shriners' Greeters Unit of the ACCA Temple. The family will receive friends 1 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where Masonic Memorial Rites will be conducted 7 p.m. Monday, and where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with interment in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church, 7401 Woodman Rd., Richmond, Va. 23228-4314.

ROETHE
Dorothy Martin Roethe, 73, of Richmond, died Friday, June 15, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Harry E. Roethe Jr.; two daughters, Elaine R. Covington of Yorktown, and Jeanne R. Parrish of Mandeville, La.; son, Stephen M. Roethe of Richmond; and five grandchildren, Kenneth and Karen Covington, Andrew, Kevin and Sarah Parrish. Mrs. Roethe was the daughter of the late Willard C. and Margaret L. Martin and sister of the late Millicent M. Patterson. She was a graduate of Indiana State University where she served as President of Chi Omega in her senior year and remained active in alumni affairs. Mrs. Roethe was the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at Indiana State University for three years. She was the Director of Publications for Associated General Contractors of Virginia in Richmond for 11 years. Mrs. Roethe had been an active member of Bon Air Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and later joined St. Giles Presbyterian Church. She had a life long interest in church music and drama. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial service will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, June 20 at St. Giles Presbyterian Church following private Entombment at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Greater Richmond Chapter, 4600 Cox Rd., Suite 130, Glen Allen, Va. 23060 or St. Giles Presbyterian Church, Music Department, 5200 Grove Ave., Richmond, Va. 23226.

THOMPSON
Eddie B. Thompson Jr. of 706 Bancroft Ave., departed this life Thursday, June 14, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth D. Thompson; two sons, Reginald (Harriet) and Roderick Thompson; stepdaughter, Bessie Smith (Tommy); five grandchildren; three sisters, Olivia Power (William) of Fort Washington, Md., Barbara J. Thompson of Richmond and Shirley Gardner (Earl) of Landover, Md.; an aunt, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

ALBRECHT
Harold L. Albrecht of Richmond died Sunday, November 11, 2001. He was born on December 9, 1921, the son of the late Lena Stahl and John Henry Albrecht in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn L., Homer, H. Virgil Albrecht; and his sisters, Betty A. Mercer and Dalores A. Gansley, all of Portsmouth, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruby Vaughan Albrecht; a daughter and her husband, Elizabeth A. and Robert W. Strand of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Linda Susan Albrecht of Richmond; two grandsons, Peter A. and Andrew M. Strand, both of Fredericksburg; a brother, John F. Albrecht or Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Mary Louise Davis of Portsmouth, Ohio. Mr. Albrecht was a member of River Road Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Portsmouth High School and Ohio State University, and a veteran of the Army Air Corps in WWII. He was a CPA with Ernst and Ernst in Cleveland, Ohio, treasurer of Faultless Rubber Co. of Ashland, Ohio, and a retired vice president of Reynolds Metals Co., Richmond, Va. Mr. Albrecht was a member of Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club in Kilmarnock, a past member of Kanawha Swim and Racquet Club, Willow Oaks Country Club, and had served as treasurer of Sleepy Hollow Civic Association. A memorial service will be held at River Road Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to River Road Presbyterian Church, Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Salvation Army.

BROOKS
Carolyne Todd Brooks, 71, of Reedville, formerly of Highland Springs, daughter of the late Millard and Alice Todd, passed away on November 12, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, J. Irving Brooks Jr.; sons, William T. Brooks and his wife, Carole of Mechanicsville, James H. Brooks and his wife, Judy of Highland Springs; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Joey Brooks and Alexis Robins. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Roby H. "Pat" Patrick of Moneta; her sister-in-law, Kathleen B. Craig of Richmond; her beloved aunt, Celia Courtney of Burlington, N.C.; three nephews, Carl Craig, Todd Patrick and Ted Patrick; and a special great-nephew, Adam Craig. Carolyne was born in Greensboro, N.C. and moved to Glen Allen, where she attended Glen Allen High School. She was a talented artist and pianist and enjoyed golf and fishing. She studied art at the Richmond Professional Institute. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond, on Thursday, November 15 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends and family at the home of Bill and Carole Brooks after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifst may be made to the Reedville Fisherman's Museum, P.O. Box 306, Reedville, Va. 22539 or the Northumberland County Rescue Squad, Box 1, Reedville, Va. 22539. Loucille Layne Campbell of Richmond died November 13, 2001. She was the widow of Arthur Lee Campbell and preceded in death by her parents, Henry Floyd and Bessie McCormick Layne. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Campbell Tredway and her husband, Bobby; two sons, Randy Campbell and his wife, Julia and Arthur Lee Campbell Jr. and his wife, Patricia; a brother, Harry Winkfield Layne; and a devoted friend, Debbie Boykin; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Southminster Presbyterian Church. Interment Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southminster Presbyterian Church.

CANDELARIO
Walter Candelario, age 36, of Midlothian, died Monday, November 12, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Martha Candelario; three children, Walter Jr., Fabien and Derick Candelario; his mother, Antonia Serrano; sisters and brother, Maria, Jose, Brenda and Lorraine Serrano. Mr. Candelario, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and was a private duty registered nurse. The family will receive friends Wednesday night 6 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, and where Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2001. Virginia T. Cobb, 91, of Richmond, widow of Benjamin C. Cobb, died Friday, November 9, 2001 in Richmond. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Cobb Peniston-McFadden; one grandchild, Anne S. Peniston; one niece, Elaine Toler-Erickson of Pensacola, Fla. Mrs. Cobb was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Brook Hill. Graveside services will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to your favorite charity. DAVIES
Laura May "Lolly" Wood Davies of Chester, widow of Peter V. Davies, died Monday, November 12, 2001. She was a guidance counselor for Chesterfield County schools for over 20 years, a graduate of Randolph Macon Woman's College and VCU Graduate School and a member of the Chester Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Page Davies Sundby, Columbia, S.C.; son, Peter V. "Dyke" Davies II, Roanoke, Va.; granddaughters, Meg and Betsy Davies; and grandson, Ryland Sundby. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian. A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday at Chester Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Chester Presbyterian Church or the Randolph Macon Woman's College, Lynchburg, Va.

DAVIS
Jessee Davis, 31, of Chesterfield Co., died November 11, 2001. He is survived by his father, Weldon R. Davis Sr.; and his mother, Peggy Shifflett; his paternal grandmother, Gracie Davis of Lyndhurst, Va.; his brothers, Weldon Davis Jr. and Michael Wayne Davis; and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Washington Memorial Park.

DICKERSON
L. Michael "Mike" Dickerson, 44, of Richmond, died Sunday, November 11, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Jill; a son, Michael; two very special pets, Toby and Tory; his parents, James B. and Jean H. Dickerson; a sister, Angela D. Sprouse; a brother, Timothy D. Dickerson; his maternal grandmother, Mary Hornbarger; four nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

James E. Fox, 64, of Richmond, died Monday, November 12, 2001. He is survived by two daughters, Brandon Fox and Carson Fox; his brother, John J. Fox Jr.; and two grandchildren, Isabella and Miranda Arias. Services will be private.

GREENE
Departed this life November 13, 2001, Mrs. Esther Tucker Greene of Richmond. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving her family.

HOGUE
Alfonso Hunter Hogue, 83, of Mechanicsville, died November 13, 2001. He was a retired supervisor for Richmond Guano Co. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Thelma Hogue; and several nieces and nephews. Remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., where the family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and where services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2001. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
