BERNICE I. KING

SWANTON - The Bible says, "Her children shall rise up and call her blessed", and we do, her daughters, Linda Boudreau Jewell and her husband Brian, Beth King Lockerby and her husband Cecil, and her sons David and his wife Karen, Larry, and Garry and his wife Debby.

And her great joy and reward for all the abundant love she passed on to us, came in the form of grandchildren: Angela Boudreau O'Neill, Christopher Boudreau, Tonya, Melissa and David King Jr., Jesse and Jeremiah King and Genevieve and Kim Lockerby, and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Ashley, and Benjamin O'Neill.

She also leaves her sister Ruth Vincelette and her brother Walter Bard and his wife Victoria.

There can be no greater calling than to be a good wife and mother. And she was, always giving her time, energy and talents not only to her family, but whenever there was a need.

Her last earthly home was at Holiday House in St. Albans where the nurses became part of her extended family. We will never be able to adequately express our gratitude for their vigilant care and the love they extended to her.

She went home to be with the Lord, Oct. 26, 2001, and we imagine her rejoicing with those who went before, our beloved father, Ralph King, her mother and father, Bertha and Ben Bard, and her sister Clarabell Unwin. Often she yearned for them and there must be much happiness for her this day.

Therefore we would like to extend an invitation to come and celebrate her life with us at a funeral service, which will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at 11 a.m. from the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. The Reverend Kim Ransom pastor of the Cornerstone Community Church, Assembly of God in Milton will officiate.

Interment will follow in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kidder Memorial Home this evening, Monday, from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday morning from 10 until the hour of the funeral.
