Juanita Catherine Bee
September 22, 1914 - August 20, 2005
Birthplace: Parkersburg, West Virginia
Resided In: West Richland Washington
cemetery: Sunset Memorial Gardens
Juanita was born September 22, 1914. She died peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law August 20, 2005.
While she had only one child she was very proud that she had 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Every member of her family was as special to her as she was to them. She was known as Nanny by all of the grandchildren. Her nightstand always held special treats (known as Nanny Candy) that she would give to her grandchildren when they came to visit. She always had hugs, kisses and smiles to make the candy sweeter. Sometimes she would give them a dollar (known as a George) when they accomplished something good in school, sports, or helped someone. The saying soon became "That ought to be worth a George". Her "kids" were the light of her life. Family was everything to her.
She was Sharon & Frank's Free Cell game cheerleader from her bed. if they were having difficulty with the game, and finally won, she let them know they had won because she had kept her fingers crossed for them.
Her family was with her in the last days of her life and many of them at the time of her passing. She was able to listen to her great grandson Jimmy talk to her on the phone from Kuwait. She could hear him even though she was unable to answer.
She celebrated her 90th Birthday last September with family and friends. She was quite proud of that accomplishment.
Juanita was a past member of the Womens Club and a member of Central United Protestant Church in Richland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years James Bee, parents John Casto and Leota (Burdett) Hains, her sister Violet (Hains) Pullen, her brothers Claude Haines and Clyde Haynes, and niece Susie (Haynes) Nelson.

On May 11, 2005, Gertrude Nerine Apgar (Trudy) went home to be with her Lord. She also rejoined her beloved husband, Chase Apgar, her daughter, Sandra Dean and grandson, Derek Dean, her parents, siblings and many loved ones who passed before.
Trudy lived in West Richland for the past 59 years in the home she and Chase built on a barren sand dune. Her family remembers her as the best cook any of us ever knew.
