SEATTLE - Katherine L. Csabai died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at her home in Seattle.

Graveside services are planned for 2:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at Prairie Home cemetery.

Holly B. Wild
NEW BERLIN - Holly B. Wild, of New Berlin, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. She was born in Waukesha on Dec. 1, 1954, to Gloria (nee Zindars) Greene and the late James Greene. For the past two years she owned and operated the Holly B. Wild American Family Insurance Agency in Milwaukee. Holly was the membership coordinator for the Kettle Moraine Chapter of HOG and was a member of Ladies of Harley.

She is loved and will be deeply missed by her mother, Gloria Greene of Waukesha; her five children, Jeffry Anderson of New Berlin, Stacy (Brian) Tarnowski of Waukesha, Donald Anderson Jr. of Madison, Racquel Estrada of Kansas City, Kan., and Joshua Wild of North Vernon, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Rianna Seidens and Brady Tarnowski. Hollly is further survived by her brothers and sisters, James (Judy) Greene, John (Cheryl) Greene and Steve (Pam) Greene, all of Waukesha, Marnee (William) Leonard of Pewaukee, Wendy (Tony) Bacon of Waukesha and Scott (Pam) Greene of Waukesha; and a special friend, Donald Bucy of Waukesha. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Preceding her in death was her husband, Donald J. Wild, and her father, James Greene.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., and at church on Wednesday from noon until the 1:30 p.m. services. The Rev. Rod Resheske is officiating. Interment at Prairie Home cemetery will follow the services

Erwin ‘Erv’ Martin
FORT ATKINSON - Erwin "Erv" Martin of Fort Atkinson, formerly of Big Bend, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at the age of 87. He was the husband of the late Wilmetta (nee Kaska). He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lois Louisa; a sister, Dorothy (Arthur) Hartmann; a brother, Herbert; and sisters-in-law, Wilma Martin and Lucille Kaska.

He is survived by a brother, Alfred Martin of Fort Atkinson; a sister, Lydia (Louie) Sievert of Burlington; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Erwin retired from farming in 1968, worked at Big Bend Lumber for four years and worked for 16 years at Boldt Egg Farm. Erv was very active in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and served 10 years for the town of Vernon Zoning Board.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, S89-W22970 Maple Ave., Big Bend, with visitation from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran cemetery in Tess Corners.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Christ Ev. Lutheran School are appreciated.

Tom McGregor
WAUKESHA - Tom McGregor of Waukesha, born on Nov. 21, 1930, in Rhinelander, the son of Thomas Jr. and Margaret (nee Rice) McGregor, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, following open heart surgery at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 69 years.

Tom was co-owner of the Moreland Plaza Pharmacy, Gray Terrace Pharmacy and the Moreland Medical Center Pharmacy. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in Madison with a MBA. He taught pharmacy management at the school for 30 years. He was awarded the Bowl of Hygeia, a University of Wisconsin citation, an American Dental Association citation and the Pharmacy Achievement Award. He served on the Pharmacy Examining Board and the Pharmacy Internship Board. He also authored numerous articles on oral health and independent pharmacy practice. Tom was a past member of the Waukesha School Board and was a Korean War veteran.

Tom is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children, Todd (Vickie) McGregor of St. Paul, Minn., Philip McGregor of Minnetonka, Minn., and Sara (Patrick) Adams, of Rochester, Minn.; his grandchildren, Erica and Lauren McGregor and Aaron and Samuel Adams.

Memorial services for Tom will be held Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at 2 p.m. at the Elmbrook Church, 777 S. Barker Rd., Brookfield. The Rev. Dick Robinson will officiate. Friends may call Monday at the church from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Missions Ministry at Elmbrook Church, the Prison Fellowship, P.O. Warren Duddeck
ARLINGTON, Texas - Warren Duddeck of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Waukesha, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, in Arlington at the age of 73. He was a longtime member of the Merrill Hills Country Club. He also served on the board of directors of the Waukesha Training Center. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Toastmaster. He was preceded in death by his wife, June, in 1997.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Debra (Ken) Agorichas of Arlington and Michael (Linda) Duddeck of Tuscon, Ariz.; his grandsons, Paul and Nick; other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service for Warren will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Prairie Home cemetery.

Dr. Warren G. Smirl
WAUKESHA - Lifelong Waukesha resident Dr. Warren G. Smirl died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 79.

He was born Jan. 10, 1921, in Waukesha, the son of Gerald and Julie (nee Newman) Smirl. Dr. Smirl was a graduate of Carroll College and a graduate of Columbia University Medical School. He was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Waukesha, the Milwaukee Academy of Medicine Library Board and the Royal Academy of Medicine.

He is the beloved husband of Jean (nee Eales), whom he married in May 1954; the dear father of Ned (Beth) Smirl of Oconomowoc, Dr. Todd Smirl of Boston, Holly (John) Wirth of Cedarburg, Terry (Tuanh) Smirl of Milwaukee and Jeffrey Smirl of Waukesha; and the dear grandfather of Sarah, Christopher, Perry and Bennett. Also surviving are his two brothers, Quentin (Dorothy) Smirl of the town of Brookfield and William (Karen) Smirl of Corona Del Mar, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Julia Smirl.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 111 E. Main St. The Rev. Dr. Douglas Sparks will officiate. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Interment will be at Prairie Home cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to either St. Matthias Episcopal Church or the Waukesha Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Mildred Maertz
MADISON - Mildred Maertz (nee Duda) of Madison, formerly of Pewaukee, was born to eternal life Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at the age of 92.

She was the loving mother of Joan Stockman of Madison and Tom (Terri) Maertz of Las Vegas; and fond grandmother of Jesse, Ashley, Troy and Chad Maertz, Stacy (Ryan) Mayer, Kelly Krawley, Victoria Tyrrell, Steve and Michael Stockman. She is further survived by 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew, and other relatives and friends. Her husband, Claremont, her sister, Helen, and her brother, Joseph, preceded Mildred in death.

Mildred was dedicated to her family, loved bowling, playing cards and boating.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Yonke & Son Funeral Home, 205 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee; Pastor Donald Koehn officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Graceland cemetery in Milwaukee.

Lawrence E. Sargent
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Lawrence E. Sargent, 88, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, in Martinsburg, W.Va. He was born Feb. 5, 1912, in Ada, Mich., the son of the late Dexter and Emogene (Hoffman) Sargent.

Lawrence was retired as a machinist and was a former vice president of Local #1677 Machinist Union.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Robert L. (Anneliese) of Martinsburg, Bill (Darlene) of West Allis and John D. (Rose) of West Bend; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family, preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Nov. 14, at the Claussen-Bouslough Funeral Home, 416 W. Lake St., Lake Mills. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15. Interment will be in the Rock Lake cemetery in Lake Mills.

Katherine E. Bielawski
WAUKESHA - Katherine E. Bielawski, 73, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000.

She was the dear mother of Blair (Cathy), Kathi (Mike) Toll, Bruce (Sue) and Blain (Randi); and grandma of Courtney, Abby, Seth, Jake, Ray and one grandchild on the way.

Katherine was a teller at M & I Bank where she made many friends with her colleagues and customers.

Visitation was held after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Chapel of the Flowers, 13275 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, with a ceremony at 11 a.m. A private entombment was held.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Intensive Care Unit nurses at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for the Intensive Care Unit of Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Church and Chapel Funeral Service, 549-0659, assisted the family with arrangements.

Haines H. Lycan
WAUKESHA - Haines H. Lycan, 75, of Waukesha, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born July 1, 1925, in Paris, Ill., the son of the late Daniel and Lois Lycan.

Haines served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Dresser-Waukesha Engines after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Old Timers Club at Dresser. He was a 47-year member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He married Joyce (nee Rohda) Lycan in 1950. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brothers, Arion (Marion) Lycan of New Berlin, Arnold Sr. of Rockville, Ind., Pauline Scott of Phoenix and Idelene Barnette of Philo, Ill. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Mukwonago. The Rev. James L. Wilch will officiate. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery in East Troy.

Adam R. Parmentier
NORTH PRAIRIE - Adam R. Parmentier, born April 5, 1972, in Rhode Island, the son of Hilton Parmentier and Maureen Boylan, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at the age of 28.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Sarah, whom he married on August 16, 1997; his son, Tanner Ryan; his step-parents, Phil and Berta Fahlman of Woodriver Junction, R.I.; his parents, Hilton Parmentier of Lakefield, R.I., and Maureen Boylan of Jupiter, Fla.; his brothers, Luc Parmentier, Eric Fahlman and Matt Boylan; and his grandmother, Mary Parmentier of Rhode Island. He will also be missed by other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Adam will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic cemetery.

Alfred Lincoln Stephenson
NEW BERLIN - Alfred Lincoln Stephenson, of New Berlin, went home to eternal life Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at the age of 92, surrounded by his loving family. He loved God, his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Gwen (nee Christison). Alfred was the loving father of Donna (Tom) Moore Sambs, Adelle (Al) Sanford and Janet (Bill) Weber. He was the proud grandfather of Dawn Martenet, Tracie (Steve) Brasch, Scott Moore, Bruce (Tammy) Moore, Brian (Tammi) Sanford, Mark (Sherry) Sanford, Dan (Karou) Sanford, Bill (Brenda) Weber, Wade (Tiffany) Weber and nine great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Willis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alfred was born May 14, 1908, in West Allis. He married Gwen Christison in a beautiful lawn wedding on Gwen’s parents’ farm Aug. 15, 1936. For many years they lived in New Berlin. Alfred was a lifetime member of Apostle Presbyterian Church. He played the flute, enjoyed dartball, golf and gardening. Gwen and Alfred had many great vacation travels around Wisconsin and the United States.

Visitation for this gentle and dignified man will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Apostle Presbyterian Church, 1509 S. 76th St., West Allis, followed by a celebration of his life at a memorial service at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Apostle Presbyterian Church are appreciated.

Jacqueline Marie Zoret
SEATTLE - Jacqueline Marie Zoret of Seattle, formerly of Waukesha, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at her residence. She was 34.

Jacqueline was born on April 2, 1966, to Thomas and Jeanne (nee Himmelwright) Jung. She attended Waukesha South High School until 1984 when she moved with her family to California.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Lindsey Marie Zoret and Jessica Ann Zoret, both of Livermore, Calif.; her parents, Thomas Jung of Whitefish Bay and Jeanne Jung of Waukesha; grandparents Al (Vivian) Jung of Port Washington and Theo Himmelwright of Waukesha; her sisters Keri (George) Myers of El Dorado, Kan., and Amy Jung of Waukesha. She is further survived by her niece, Grace Myers of El Dorado, Kan., other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral Mass on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at the corner of Newhall and Hartwell avenues. The Rev. Gordon Weber will officiate. A private family burial will take place at Prairie Home cemetery.

Donald L. ‘Doatz’ Franzen
WAUKESHA - Waukesha resident Donald L. "Doatz" Franzen, 54, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born June 12, 1946, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Adolph and Lucille (nee Sullivan) Franzen.

Mr. Franzen was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Trappers Association and the Wisconsin House Outdoorsman. He was a hunter education teacher and was an avid collector of toy farm equipment. Franzen worked as a loader-operator for Franklin Aggregate Corporation.

Don is the beloved husband of Marlees (nee Turks), whom he married on April 24, 1976, in Waukesha. He is the dear father of Chad and Jaime, both of Waukesha. He is the beloved son of Lucille Franzen of Preston, Iowa. He is also survived by his pal, Buddy, and his sisters and brother, Mary Ann Scheckel of Preston, Iowa, Beverly (Larry) Clasen of Bellevue, Iowa, and Darwin (Delores) Franzen of Preston, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Don was preceded in death by his father, Adolph; his brothers, Richard and William; and his brother-in-law, Robert Scheckel.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. William’s Catholic Church in Waukesha; the Rev. Leonard Barbian will celebrate Mass. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the Cesarz, Charapata and Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard in Waukesha; a parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. A second visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Prairie Home cemetery.
