Home-Ainsworth Hall Chapel, King, at 1:30 PM on
Friday, November 9th, 2007 with Chaplain Wayne
Schwanke officiating. Visitation will be held on
Friday, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service
at the chapel.

James G. Koss, age 85, of King, WI., passed away
on Monday, November 5th, 2007 at the Wisconsin
Veterans Home-Ainsworth Hall, King. He was born
in Appleton, WI., on October 18, 1922, a son of
the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Sanger) Koss.

On June 12, 1945 he married Juanita J. Hibbs in
Lansing, MI. He served in the U.S. Army Air
Corp as a 2/LT, Navigator in World War II.

Survivors include his Wife: Juanita Koss, King,
WI.; 4 Children: Kristen (Charles) Morrill,
Chagrin Falls, OH; Greg (Robin) Koss, Wichita,
KS; Kathy (Charles) Miller, Knoxville, TN; Tim
(Robin) Koss, Midland, MI; Sister: Evelyn Smith,
Neenah, WI. He is also survived by 10
grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will be held at Wisconsin
Veterans Home-Ainsworth Hall Chapel, King, at
1:30 PM on Friday, November 9th, 2007 with
Chaplain Wayne Schwanke officiating. Visitation
will be held on Friday, from 1:00 PM until the
time of the service at the chapel.

Funeral Service will be held at First Assembly of
God Church, Waupaca, Wisconsin at 1:00 P.M. on
Monday, November 12th, with Reverend Bob Bohn
officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov
11 from 4-7 P.M. at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca
and Monday, Nov 12, from 12:00 noon-1:00 P.M. at
First Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in
the Spencer Lake Memorial Park in the Town Lind,
Waupaca County, Wisconsin.

Mr. William E. Kaap, age 85, of Waupaca, passed
away Thursday, November 8th, 2007 at St.
Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Bill was born in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 30, 1922. He was
the son of the late William H and Mollie
(Manning) Kaap. Bill married Meta G. Held on
July 11, 1953 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in
death on Jan 5, 2007. He served in the U.S. Army
during World War II and was awarded the Purple
Heart. Bill worked as a truck driver for Kraft
Foods and later worked for the City of Milwaukee
as a bridge operator for 23 years and retired in
1983. He was a member of Bethel
Tabernacle/Poplar Creek Church in New Berlin and
First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca. Bill
enjoyed building and flying model planes, playing
golf, and most of all singing in his Quartet and
singing solos. He is survived by by his
Children: Leslie (Dorothy) Kaap, West Allis;
Patricia (Phil) Feder, Pickett, WI.; Jacalyn
(David) Smith, Wyoming, MI; Pamela (Dan) Daining,
Caledonia, MI; William C (Elizabeth) Kaap, West
Bend; Grandchildren: Kelly Mathis; Alison Kaap;
Erin Kaap; Ryan Rogers; Ashley Kaap; Faren Strnad;
Sisters: Yvonne Rubbinaccio, Union City, New
Jersey; Janet Schwark, Grand Jct, CO; Brother:
John (Jean) Kaap, Colgate, WI. Bill was preceded
in death by his Wife: Meta, Sisters: Betty
Turton, June Pearson, Brother: James Kaap and
David Kaap. Funeral Service will be held at
First Assembly of God Church, Waupaca, Wisconsin
at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 12th, with
Reverend Bob Bohn officiating. Visitation will
be held Sunday, Nov 11 from 4-7 P.M. at Holly
Funeral Home in Waupaca and Monday, Nov 12, from
12:00 noon-1:00 P.M. at First Assembly of God
Church. Interment will be in the Spencer Lake

Paul Cigler

At Paul’s request, no memorial service will be held.
Interment will be in the Holy Cross cemetery in Two
Rivers, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI
assisted the family with arrangements.

PAUL J. CIGLER

KING, WI (FORMERLY OF MANITOWOC, WI)

Age 82 – died on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at
the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI. He was
born on January 25, 1925 in Cooperstown, WI, a
son of the late Emil and Frances (Slectka)
Cigler. He married Maryon Lintereur in October of
1948 in Two Rivers, WI. She preceded him in
death.

Paul is survived by a daughter: Ellen Dawson of
Joliet, IL, four sons: Thomas (Patty) Cigler of
Sturgeon Bay, Timothy (Marge) Cigler of Sturgeon
Bay, Paul Cigler, Jr. of Appleton, and Andrew
Cigler of Portland, OR, nine grandchildren:
Rachel, Emily, Zeke, Dylan, Miles, Tess, Rebecca,
Jennifer, and Royal, seven great grandchildren, a
brother: John Cigler of Manitowoc, and a sister:
Beatrice Wachtel of Manitowoc. He was preceded in
death by his wife: Maryon, his parents, two
brothers: Emil and Jerry, and a sister: Agnes
Bauman.

Paul retired from Manitowoc Engineering as a
maintenance supervisor. He had been employed with
the company for 44 years. Paul had served in the
U.S. Army during WW II. He had served with the
90th Infantry Division and fought in the D-Day
invasion of France. He was injured during the
invasion. He was decorated with the Bronze Star
and the Purple Heart. Paul was a proud and active
member of the Democratic Party. He was an avid
hunter and fisherman, and loved a good game of
Sheepshead. Paul had become a resident of the
Wisconsin Veterans Home at King in November of
2005.

At Paul’s request, no memorial service will be
held. Interment will be in the Holy Cross
cemetery in Two Rivers, WI. The Holly Funeral
Home of Waupaca, WI assisted the family with
arrangements.

Earl Jay Smith

EARL JAY SMITH

WILD ROSE, WI

Age 90 – died on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at
the Wild Rose Manor in Wild Rose, WI. He was born
on August 5, 1917 on the family’s homestead in the
Township of Rose, Waushara County, WI, a son of
the late Earl J. and Clara (Nelson) Smith. He
married Phyllis Nichols on January 1, 1942 in
Parfreyville, WI. He preceded her in death on
October 31, 1998.

Earl is survived by a niece: Nan (Ed) Corazalla
of Faribault, MN. He is further survived by many
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He
was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis, his
parents, a brother: Darrel Smith, and a nephew:
Lowell Duane Smith.

Earl had been a Dairy Farmer. He lived on, and
farmed the family’s homestead in the Township of
Rose from his birth until illness forced him to
leave the farm.

A memorial service will be held at the Holly
Funeral Home in Wild Rose, WI on Sunday, November
18, 2007 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Robert
Hanson, St. John’s Lutheran Church – Saxeville,
WI, officiating. Interment will be in the Oak
Hill cemetery in Wild Rose. Friends may call at
the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose on
Sunday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Holly
Funeral Home of Wild Rose, WI is assisting the
family with arrangements.

Robert Engbretson

16th, with Lee Engbretson-Nephew officiating.

P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers,
memorials in Bob's name may be directed to the
charity of your choice.

Robert S. Engbretson, age 78, of Waupaca,
Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, November 13th,
2007 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. Bob
was born in Town of St. Lawrence, Wisconsin on May
30, 1929, to the late Oscar and Esther (Madsen)
Engbretson. He served in the U.S. Marines from
1948-1951. On Nov 23, 1950 he married Darlene L.
Hoffman in Chicago. Bob worked as a purchasing
manager at the Waupaca Foundry for 16 years and
retired in 1987. He enjoyed golfing, bowling
along with watching the Green Bay Packers and
Chicago White Sox.

He is survived by his Former Wife: Darlene,
Waupaca; Daughters: Susan M (Michael) Janssen,
Green Bay Sandra (Steven) Hupfer, Green Bay,
Sister: Genevieve Hillstrom, California. He is
further survived by nieces and nephews other
relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death
by his Sister: Arla Mae Engwis and Brother: Alan
Engbretson.

A Memorial Service will be held at Holly Funeral
Home in Waupaca at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November
16th, with Lee Engbretson-Nephew officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday from 12 noon-1:00
P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers,
memorials in Bob's name may be directed to the
charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the Staff of
Riverside Medical Center for the excellent care
provided to Bob and his family during his
illness.

Shirley Gayle Schlitt, age 55, of Redgranite, WI,
passed away Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 at her
home. She was born in Mauston, Wisconsin on
October 23, 1952, the daughter of Warren and
Lois (Elmer) Grainger. She married Val Schlitt
on June 17, 2005 in Waushara County.

Shirley is survived by Husband: Val Schlitt,
Redgranite, WI; Sisters: Candice Sentell;
Debbie Sproston, Waterman, IL; Brother: David J.
Grainger, Mauston, WI. She is further survived by
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on
Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Holly Funeral
Home in Poy Sippi, WI with Reverend David Sielaff
officiating. Interment will be in Poy Sippi
cemetery. A visitation will be held at the
funeral home on Friday from 4 PM until 8 PM and
on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the
service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been
established.

Melvin Stea

Residence: Waupaca, WI

October 31, 1935 - November 13, 2007

A Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 16,
2007 at 3:00 PM at the Victory Church in Waupaca.
Reverend Philip Thompson will officiate. A
visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 Noon
until the time of the service at the church.
Burial will be at West Holden Lutheran cemetery in
the Town of Wautoma. The Holly Funeral Home of
Waupaca is assisting the family with
arrangements.
