Laura M. Smith
Laura M. Smith, 37, De Pere. Visitation 6-8 p.m. today at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, and 9-10:30 a.m. Monday at the Oneida United Methodist Church, N6048 County E, De Pere. Prayer service 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her mother, Judy, Oneida; three brothers, Tony (Jackie) Smith, Pulaski, DuWane (Crista) Smith, Michigan, James Smith and fiancee, Amber Brunette, Oneida; her grandmother.

George F. Baerwald
George F. Baerwald, Green Bay. Visitation after 10 a.m. Saturday at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Fern; one sister, Adela Huzzar, New London; one brother, Ray (Helen) Baerwald, Dale.

Carl L. Paquet
Carl L. Paquet, 55, Denmark, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at a local hospital. He was born September 6, 1947, in Cheboygan, Mich., son of Katie Von Oesen and the late Leo Leonard Paquet. Carl graduated from Mackinaw City High School in 1965, and Northern Michigan University in 1970, where he received a degree in education. He married Kathy West, Sept. 9, 1967, in Davison, Mich. He came to Denmark School District in the fall of 1970 at taught his entire career in Denmark. During that time he was assistant and head football coach for 33 years, and started the women's basketball program which he coached for over 24 years and won over 200 games. He served in many other capacities at school including athletic director. His life was dedicated to his family, students, and players, and he took great pride in being a wonderful, caring husband, father and grandfather. He will truly be missed and will always be remembered.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy, Denmark; two children, Tammera (Jeff) Klumpyan, De Pere, and their children, Elisabeth and Matthew, and Christopher (Kristen) Paquet, De Pere, and their son, Maximus. Carl is also survived by his mother, Katie Paquet; brother, David (Sherri) Paquet, both of Mackinaw City, Mich.; two sisters, Cecilia (Dana) Demby, Rogers City, Mich., Catherine Ball, Mackinaw City, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Leonard; and a brother-in-law, James Ball.

Family and friends may call today from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Count R, Denmark, Wis., with a Memorial service to follow the visitation at 7 p.m, with the Rev. Ray Ryerson officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been in Carl's name at the Denmark State Bank, P.O. Box 130, Denmark, WI, 54208. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2003, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Mackinaw City, Mich., with a visitation one hour prior to the mass. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Mackinaw City, Mich. Nordman Funeral Home, Mackinaw City, Mich., is handling arrangements in Michigan.

Helen Vande Logt
Mrs. Bernard (Helen) Vande Logt, 72, Bellevue, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2003. She was born Oct. 5, 1930, in Green Bay to the late Merle and Eleanor (VandenBrand) Minor. In 1948, she graduated from West DePere High School. On Sept. 11, 1948, she married Bernard Vande Logt at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Helen had been employed at The White Store for 15 years. She enjoyed knitting hundreds of hats and slippers and anonymously donating them to shelters, hospitals and other charitable organizations. She was also an avid bridge player at the Green Bay Senior Center.

Survivors include her husband, Bernard Vande Logt; a daughter, Jane Gonion, Green Bay; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Paulette Vande Logt, Eagan, Minn.; four grandchildren, Lynn Ringer and her special friend, Dan Bergh, Green Bay, Paul Ringer, Green Bay, Chad and Joshua Vande Logt, Eagan, Minn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Merle (Ann Marie) Minor, Green Bay.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Daniel Gonion.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. today. There will be a Parish Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. today. Friends may also call at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pine Grove, 4767 Stage Coach Road, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, De Pere.

Survivors include his wife, Louisa; five sons, Norbert (Sandra), Hofa Park, Lawrence (Joan), De Pere, Richard, Green Bay, James (Florence), Seymour, Michael (Karen), De Pere; eight daughters, Mary (Gerald) Letter, Michigan, Florence (Robert) Bartman, New Holstein, Margaret (Richard) Forsythe, De Pere, Agnes (Gary) Schussman, De Pere, Suzanne (Frank) Walenta, Sheboygan, Loretta (Paul) Paiser, Green Bay, Eleanor (Michael) Lucas, Suamico, Rosemary (Richard) Brunner, Green Bay; 36 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert DeGroot; one sister, Dorothy LeMere. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, is assisting the family.

Lee L. Lefebvre
Lee L. Lefebvre, 50, Green Bay, died peacefully on Sunday June 15, 2003, at a local hospital following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Visitation will continue today at St. Bernard Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Thursday 10:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. David Pleier officiating. MALCORE Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements, 432-5579.
