June S. Novak
June S. Novak, of Waukesha died Thursday July 19, 2001 at the Waters of Westmoreland Health Care Center.

June was raised in Menasha and graduated from Menasha High School. She had worked for over 25 years at Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Stella (nee O'Brien) Humphrey, her husband Ray Novak (March 20, 1997), and her sister: Jean McConahay. June is survived by her daughter: Patricia D. (Ted) Memmel of Waukesha, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one great great grandson.

A memorial service will be Monday July 23, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee. Memorials in June's name may be directed to Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County Inc. {H.A.W.S.} or to the Rolland Nelson Crossroads Hospice or to the charity of one's choice. Friends may call at the time of service at the funeral home.

Jennie Mascia Sawyer
Lifelong Waukesha resident, Jennie Mascia Sawyer, died at her home on Thursday morning, September 6, 2001, at the age of 87 years.

She was born on November 13, 1913 in Waukesha and was the last surviving child of Nicholas and Rose (nee Pucci) Mascia. Jennie was the beloved wife of Raymond G. Sawyer who preceded her in death in 1980. They were married on November 13, 1937.

She is survived by her daughter Lynn (Jerry) Chudzik of Waukesha and her son Nicholas (Charmaine) Sawyer of Palatine, IL. She is further survived by her loving grandchildren, Eric (Elizabeth) Chudzik, Jennifer (Scott) Smith, Bridget (James) Boyle, and Christopher and Laura Chudzik, Nicholas and Kyle Sawyer and great granddaughter Morgan Rae Smith.

Jennie is also the dear aunt of Margaret "Honeygirl" (Jim) Rasmussen of Waukesha and the great aunt of the Rasmussen children, John, Chris, Mike, Margaret Rose, and Amy. She is also survived by her very special friend Celia Chudzik of Waukesha as well as other relatives and friends. Jennie was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Florence Consiglio, Margaret Volpano, Annie Corona, Albert Mascia and Michael Mascia. Jennie will be deeply missed by her loving relatives and many friends and by her very devoted friend Celia Chudzik.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where over many years she devoted a great deal of her time, energies and talents cooking meals for gatherings at the church as fund raising activities for the Parish.

We celebrate the life of this loving and caring woman who will always be remembered for her generous heart by the many people whose lives she touched. She was proud of and loved her family. She had a long and happy life and her kindness touched all who knew her.

Funeral services will be Monday September 10, 2001 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. Aurelio Perez will celebrate Mass. Friends may call at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. on Sunday, September 9, 2001 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m. A parish vigil will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials would be appreciated to either the American Cancer Society or the Rolland Nelson/Crossroads Hospice Program.

Kathryn G. Muehl
Kathryn G. Muehl, age 80 of Waukesha died Friday June 1, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Kathryn was born October 11, 1920 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, a daughter of Grant E. and Margaret Helen (nee Hopkins) Volland.

On June 14, 1941 she married Robert John Muehl at Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church in Waukesha. In 1951, Robert and Kathryn bought the Muehls Food Market (on the East 5 Points) in Waukesha. The couple then co-founded Waukesha Wholesale Foods in 1954. Kathryn was proud to be the first salesperson with the company and currently serves as Chairperson Emeritus. She was especially proud that the business she helped to build is now owned and operated by her familys third generation. She has been very active in the Waukesha community and in local politics. She especially enjoyed the Waukesha City Council proceedings and was an advocate of women's rights.

She was an avid reader and relished writing letters to the editor at local newspapers. She is currently on the City of Waukesha Park and Recreation and Forestry Board serving from 1984 to present. She has also been on the Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) Culinary Programs Advisory Committee from December 1976 to present, and she is a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Waukesha. She was the primary caregiver to her husband during his extended battle with cancer. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Robert J. Muehl on November 10, 1993, and a brother: George (Bud) Volland.

Kathryn is survived by her three sons: Thomas (Louise) Muehl of Delafield, Wisconsin, Eric (Claraine Hermersmann) Muehl of Mequon, Wisconsin, and Wesley (Donna) Muehl of Pewaukee, Wisconsin. She is also survived by her three grandsons: Jeffrey Muehl of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Dale (Noushin) Baumann of Redwood Shores, California, and David (Mary Beth) Baumann of Jacksonville, Florida, along with two great grandchildren: Nicole Baumann of Redwood Shores, California and Andrew Baumann of Jacksonville, Florida. Kathryn is also survived by her three sisters: Dorothy Bauer of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ruth (Carl) Schmidt of Pewaukee, Wisconsin and Janet Murray of Los Angeles, California, a sister-in-law: Genny Volland of Chula Vista, California, a special nephew: John Volland of Chula Vista, California along with many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Kathryn will be Wednesday June 6, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. The Rev. Frank Gaylord, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha will be the officiant. Burial will be in Prairie Home in Waukesha. Friends may call at the funeral home on Moreland Blvd. on Tuesday June 5th from 3 P.M. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Wednesday June 6th from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Kathryn's name to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Waukesha County (305 East Main Street Waukesha, WI. 53186), The Waukesha Park and Recreation Department (1900 Aviation Drive Waukesha, WI. 53188), or to Waukesha County Technical College {WCTC} (800 Main Street Pewaukee, WI. 53072) for a scholarship fund in her name For more information, please call (262) 542-6609.

Lisa Ann Domack
Lisa Ann Domack of Pewaukee (formerly of Madison) died on Sunday November 25, 2001, surrounded by her family at her home at the age of 41 years after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Lisa was born August 27, 1960 in Madison. She graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1983. She was a member and an active volunteer of St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church in Pewaukee and a volunteer for the Pewaukee School District P.T.O. Lisa was actively involved with many activities related to her neighborhood and community, and was a firm believer in the “Circle of Giving.”

Lisa is the beloved wife of Kevin J. Domack, whom she married on August 13, 1983 in Madison. She is the dear mother of Melissa, Aaron and Natalie. She is the daughter of Herbert Hanson of Middleton and Helen (Raphael) Smith of Stoughton, WI. She will be missed by her sisters: Diane (Bill) Brue of Stoughton, Colleen (Chris) Benson and Sandra Hanson, both of Houston, TX., and Ann Adeyemo of Madison, WI. She is the granddaughter of Ann Gratton of Madison and the daughter-in-law of Julian Domack of Madison. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 27, 200l at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church in Pewaukee at 6:30 p.m. Fr. Thomas Venne will celebrate Mass. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. until time of Mass. Interment services will be on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Roselawn Cemetery Chapel in Madison. Memorials would be appreciated to Lisa’s family to be used for medical research.

Kevin and his children would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the many organizations, neighbors, friends and family who gave such generous support during these difficult days.

Mary M. Hasler
Mary M. Hasler, of Wausaukee, WI.,formerly of West Allis, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at the Care-Age Health Care Center in Brookfield at the age of 87 years. She was born June 8, 1914 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth (nee Herbst) Braun.

Mary Graduated from Holy Angels Academy (merged with Divine Savior) in 1933. She married Owen M. Hasler on August 28, 1937. They resided in West Allis from 1937 to 1975. After retirement, they moved to Wausaukee. Mary was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Wausaukee, Wisconsin.

Mary is the dear mother of Judith (Joseph) Tutkowski of Greenfield, Mary (William) Dorman of Wausaukee, Carol (James) Pileggi of West Allis, Dolores (James) Marzu of Wausaukee, Thomas (Stella) Hasler of Delafield and Jon (Ruth) Hasler of West Allis. She will be sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen who died on February 4th of 1979, her daughter Lois Jean, two brothers: John & Joseph and a sister Rosalie.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 16, 2002 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Fr. Mark Payne will officiate. A second funeral service will be Monday, March 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Wausaukee, Wisconsin. Fr. Joseph Dorner will celebrate Mass. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery inWausaukee.

Mary Jo Janson
Mary Jo Janson of Waukesha died June 10, 2001, at age 59.

Beloved wife of Ken Janson. Dear mother of Robert (Emily) Janson, William Janson, and Steven Janson. Adoring Nana of Lily and Reid Janson. Loving sister of Peg (James) Nettesheim and brothers Michael (Annette) Madden, William (Alice) Madden. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Teresa Madden and brother, Patrick Madden. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

We are forever grateful for the caregiving friends and neighbors who brought companionship and comfort. Her joy of living will live on in those who knew and loved her.

Visitation at the funeral home is scheduled Wednesday, June 13, 2001 from 4-8 p.m. A parish vigil will be at 7:30. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 444 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha. Private burial at St. James Cemetery, Menomonee Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society appreciated. Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd, is serving the family.

Marian R. Regenfuss
Lifelong Waukesha resident, Marian R. Regenfuss, died on Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at the Virginia Health Care Center at the age of 77 years. She was born on January 16, 1924 in Waukesha, the daughter of Henry & Martha (nee Drought) Beaumeister.

Marian was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Waukesha and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was a past president of the Eagles Auxiliary. Marian retired from Waukesha Engine (Dresser Industries) and then worked for Bruce Pollock Realty from which she also had later retired.

She is the beloved mother of Franklyn (Christine) Regenfuss of Waukesha and the dear grandmother of Laura & Bob Regenfuss, both of Waukesha. She is also survived by her niece and nephew-in-law Carol & Don Zajac of Vernon, N.Y. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marian was preceded in death by her husband Milton in 1997, her sister Henrietta Raht, and her brother E.E. "Bo" Beaumeister.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 8, 2001 at 8 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. The Rev. Dr. Douglas Sparks will officiate. A Waukesha Eagles Auxiliary service will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorials would be appreciated to the charity of the donor's choice.

M. June Tannis
M. June Tannis, of Pewaukee, born on June 25, 1920 in Waukesha, the daughter of Matthew and Emma (nee Echtner) Zollner, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at Linden Grove at the age of 81 years.

She was a member of St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church where she was a Christian Mother and member of the choir. During WWII she wrote articles for The Kit, which was a section in the Freeman for the service people.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Herb, whom she married on September 16, 1950, her children; Mary Tannis of Waukesha, Michael (Judy) of Pewaukee, Paul (Sue) of Adams, WI, Terri (Alan) Wagner of Waukesha and William (Janet) of Okauchee, her grandchildren; Chris, Jenni, Joseph, Tyler and Jacob, her great grandchildren; Jason and Katie, June is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Frances Ferguson.

A funeral Mass for June will be on Monday, November 5, 2001 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, W280 N2101 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee (Please meet at church). Father Tom Venne will officiate. Friends may call at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. on Sunday, November 4, 2001 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A parish vigil will be at 6:30 pm. Interment will follow the Mass in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Pewaukee. Memorials to St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church or the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
