ELEANOR 'Ele' McREYNOLDS, 71, of Roscoe, IL, died Friday, September 5, 2003 in St. Anthony's Medical Center, Rockford, IL, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born January 15, 1932 in Prentice, WI, the daughter of Harold and Anna Forst Harkins. Ele married Frank D. McReynolds on October 11, 1952 in Beloit, WI. She was a graduate of Beloit High School. Ele worked at Al's Snack Shop and was a full time homemaker, mother and grandmother. Ele was a member of the Roscoe Order of the Eastern Star #641.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Frank of Roscoe, IL; a son, Dale (Vicki) McReynolds of Roscoe, IL; a daughter, Trudy (Dan Volden) Swenson of Roscoe, IL; seven grandchildren, Curt McReynolds, Ryan McReynolds, Brandon Swenson, Beth Wagner, Kristen Wagner, Erica Wagner, and Audra Anderson; her mother, Anna Harkins of Rockford, IL; sister, Betty (Bob) Christenson of Belvidere, IL; niece and nephew, Marilee (Roy) McClenthen of Loves Park, IL, and Frank (Julie) Long of Beloit, WI; other numerous nieces and nephews, special friends, Vicki and John Anderson of Roscoe, IL, life long special friends, Charles and Alice Ford and family of Frederic, WI.

She is predeceased by her father, Harold, great grandson, Kyle Wagner and mother-in-law Mary McReynolds.

A special thanks to the OSF 4th floor Nurses, and Critical Care Nurse's Yvonne and Paulette and Dr. Hoskins.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to OSF St. Anthony Cancer Center or to OSF Critical Care Unit.

DENNIS LEE McCAULEY, 67, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, September 24, 2003 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 23, 1935 in Richland Center, WI, the son of Gaylord and Florence Wilson McCauley. Dennis was a 1954 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dennis married Virgene Christiansen on November 29, 1958 in Beloit, WI.

Dennis was employed by Beloit Corporation, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Beloit Corporation Quarter Century Club and the Family Motor Coach Association. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Virgene; two children, Jeff (Cindy) McCauley of Layton, UT and Kim (John) DeWindt of Shiocton, WI; four grandchildren, Kari, Amie, Emily, and Tate; one great grandson, Jordan; two brothers, Darrell (Nancy) McCauley, and Gerald (Carol) McCauley; one sister, Deana Levihn; mother-in-law, Pearl Christiansen; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2003 in the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints 2535 Austin Place, Beloit, WI, with the Bishop Richard Szilagyi officiating. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Friday in the church. Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.

RUTH ANN 'Poofie' DOBBS PERINGTON MOE, 70, of Janesville, WI, died Tuesday, August 26, 2003 in her home.

She was born August 6, 1933 in South Beloit, IL, the daughter of Francis and Mabel Chandler Dobbs. Ruth was a 1951 graduate of South Beloit High School. She married Norris Moe on June 20, 1987.

Ruth was employed by Fairbanks Morse & Company. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, South Beloit, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Norris of Janesville, WI; two children, Jeffery Perington of Ripon, WI, and Denise Perington-Hughes of Elk Mound, WI; three step children, Mr. and Mrs. Donald W. Moe of Beloit, WI, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Allen Moe of Rincon, GA and Pamela Jean Muth of Watertown, WI; four grandchildren, Michelle (Roger) Velie of Ripon, WI, Phoebe Hughes of Elk Mound, WI, Jason Perington of Oshkosh, WI, and Robert Hughes of Elk Mound, WI; seven step grandchildren, Erica and Jessica Moe of Janesville, WI, Heather, Stacy and Jennifer Moe of Longview, WA, Nathan and Nicole Muth of Watertown, WI; two great grandsons, Austin Velie and Josh Velie; several step great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Edward Dobbs Sr. of Plymouth Meeting, PA; five sisters-in-law, Donna Dobbs-Henry of South Beloit, IL, Mary Fowler of Avon, WI, Betty (Gaylord) Johnson of Avon, WI, Mildred Carter of Richland Center, WI, and Lillian Veld of Fennimore, WI; two brothers-in-law, Wesley (Marilyn) Moe of Edgerton, WI, and Gilbert (Beth) Moe of Richland Center, WI; many nieces and nephews, other cousins, relatives and friends; special friend, Dort Soderlund of Green Bay, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents, one sister, Catherine 'Kate' Stokes, two brothers; Carl 'Tootie' Dobbs, Donald Dobbs, and one infant brother.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2003 in Faith Lutheran Church, 1305 Blackhawk Blvd. South Beloit, IL, with the Reverend Jay Quinn officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

Russell J. Merlet, 50, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, July 26, 2003 at his home.

He was born September 3, 1952 in Beloit, WI, the son of Donald and Jeannette Bates Merlet.
Russell married Jan E. Udell on August 7, 1981 in the Second Congregational Church, Beloit, WI. He was a 1970 graduate of F. J. Turner High School, Beloit, WI. Russell farmed his entire life with his brother, Roger. He was a member of the Newark Beloit 4-H for 8 Years, and an avid Packer fan.

Survivors include his wife, Jan of Beloit, WI; Children, Michelle and Max at home; his mother, Jeannette of Beloit, WI; brother, Roger (Phyllis) Merlet of Beloit, WI; sister, Lois (Bob) Kane of Newark Township; nieces, Shari (Joe) Zenz of Lancaster, WI, Karen (Brian) Smith of San Antonio, TX, Kristine Pryor of Beloit, WI, and Julia Jordan of Fort Meyers, FL; nephews, Brad (Lisa) Lindaas of Round Lake, IL, and Shane Potter of Fort Meyers, FL; father and mother in law, Beauford (Alta) Udell of Beloit, WI; sisters- in- law, Julie Udell of Van Couver, WA, and Joan (Jerry) Jordan of Fort Meyers, FL; brother in law, Britt Udell of Beloit, WI; several aunts and uncles; life long special friends, Dennis Katterhenry and Virg Amundson.

He was predeased by his father, Don Merlet.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Father Steven Kortendick officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.

A memorial will be established in honor of Russell.

DANIEL H. McHONE Jr, 60, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, June 6, 2003 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 9, 1942 in Beloit, WI, the son of Daniel H. and Lauradell Mae Palmer McHone Sr. Daniel was a Vietnam veteran serving with the U.S. Army. He married Elizabeth A. Webster on September 16, 1978 in Beloit, WI. Daniel was employed by Palmer Nurseries and later by Besley Products, retiring in 1998.

Survivor's include his wife, Elizabeth; children, Dana (Neal) Lockhart of Washington, Sherri Kertzman of South Beloit, IL, Daniel (Sara) Webster, and Grant McHone both of Beloit, WI; ten grandchildren; one sister, Chrystal 'Chris' Johns of Wisconsin Dells, WI; aunt, Nora Roberts of Grand Detour, IL; in-laws, Lester and Ada Webster of Beloit, WI; sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Edward) Bergen of Arkansas, and Catherine (Allen) McDaniel of Beloit, WI; brother-in-law, Lester Webster of California; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and daughter, Kerri.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2003 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Norman Starks officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

MAURICE F. MULLVAIN, 80, of Beloit, WI, died Monday, June 2, 2003 in Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born April 17, 1923 in Superior, WI, the son of Oscar and Ida Jost Mullvain. Maurice was a graduate of Superior High School. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. Maurice married Alvina J. Soderlund on June 22, 1946 in Superior, WI. She predeceased him on October 3, 1993.

Maurice was employed by Wisconsin Knife Works, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church. He was a hard working and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Maurice enjoyed spending time with his family and will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include his children, Bruce (Terry) Mullvain, Ron (Bonnie) Mullvain, Gary (Lorraine) Mullvain all of Beloit, WI, Daniel (Pamela) Mullvain of Rockford, IL, David (Debbie) Mullvain of Beloit, WI, Rita (Butch) Nalan and Susan (Robert) Allen of Beloit, WI; 21 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Walter (Kay) Mullvain of Gordon, WI; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, Merlyn, Alva and Bernice, three brothers, Serle, Bernard, and Robert.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2003 in the Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church with Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday in the church. Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.

EDITH J. MACKEY, 87, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, May 24, 2003 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 20, 1916 in Clinton, WI, the daughter of William and Katherine Smith Erby. Edith married William J. Mackey on June 12, 1937 in Woodstock, IL. He predeceased her on January 26, 1980.

Edith was employed by Beloit Corporation for 21 years, retiring on January 31, 1981. She was a member of Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church.

Survivors include her one son, Donald (Debbie) Mackey of Victorville, CA; three daughters, Nancy (Kenneth) Kelly of Clinton, WI, Judith (Joseph) Licari of Beloit, WI, and Lois (Robert) Moake of South Beloit, IL; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; one sister, Jane (Glen) Kenney of Galieu, MI; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Lyle W. and Houston 'David' Erby, two sisters, Esther Mengs and Hazel Cross.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003 in the Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church with Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Thursday in the church. Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.

KATHLEEN M. 'MICKEY' MEISTER, 82, of Beloit, WI, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2003 in Alden Meadow Park Health Care Center, Clinton, WI.

She was born February 5, 1921 in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Patrick and Mary Clippert Byrnes. Mickey married Peter Meister on November 22, 1939 in Reedsburg, WI. He predeceased her on March 30, 1989.

Mickey was employed by Warner Electric Brake as an assembler. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, the Marian Guild, the Rock County Shamrock Club, the Beloit Eagles Lodge #557 and the Beloit Moose Lodge #191.

Survivors include her three daughters, Barbara (Gerald) Twentyman of San Francisco, CA, Bonnie (Gary) Paul of Green Bay, WI, Pat (Michael) Strain of Beloit, WI; two sons, John 'Jack' (Joann) Meister, of Rockford, IL, James (Patrick McCreagh) Meister of San Francisco, CA; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; four sisters, Bernice (Norbert) Fike of Beloit, WI, Maureen (John) Chekouras of Beloit, WI, Pat (Russ) Hale of Reedsburg, WI, Mary (Bob) Peiffer of Tomahawk, WI; three brothers, Bernard (Virginia) Byrnes of Waunakee, WI, Don (Joyce) Byrnes of Reedsburg, WI, and Pat (Sandy) Byrnes of Milwaukee, WI; sister in law, Helen (Ray) Byrnes of South Beloit, IL; nieces and nephews; special friends, Evie and Ken George.

A special thank you to Dr. Long and the 3rd floor special care nurses at Beloit Memorial Hospital and the staff at Meadow Park Health Care Center.

She was predeceased by her parents, one grandson, Tony Meister, three brothers, Raymond, Larry and Jim.

Prayer services will be 9:45 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Steve Kortendick officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with a scripture service at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
