MILWAUKEE - Mary A. (Westenmeyer) Schmidt, 89, born September 1911, died October 2000.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m., at St. Rita's Church, 60th and W. Lincoln Ave., West Allis. Burial will be on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Holy Cross cemetery Chapel, 7301 W. Nash, Milwaukee.

Survivors include her children, Raymond, Eugene (Margie), Marilyn (John) Craig, Robert (Kathleen), Ruth (Phil) Wasmer, Phyllis (Joe) Baillargeon, and Margaret (Wayne) Soczka; one daughter-in-law, Donna; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Julie (Herb) Lehner; two brothers, Donald (Marge), and John (Doris) Westenmeyer; and two brothers-in-law, Walter and Rueben Schmidt; nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; one son, George; one grandson, Timmy; two sisters, Mag Hupf and Eva Yagodinski; one brother, Anton Westenmeyer; four sisters-in-law, Frieda Wells, Linda Schultz, Verna Frederick, Elda Schmidt; and one brother-in-law, Harold Schmidt.

Friends may call at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service.

Marilla L. Andler
COLUMBUS - Marilla L. Andler, 69, of W1831 Hall Road, Columbus, died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at her home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m., at Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate. Burial will be on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m., in Hillside cemetery, Columbus.

Mrs. Andler was born on Nov. 10, 1930, in Columbus, the daughter of Guy and Esther (Kettlehon) Sanderson. She was married on April 24, 1954, to George Andler at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Columbus.

Mrs. Andler was a homemaker who loved raising a family, and then loved the time she had with her grandchildren. She also raised poultry and did embroidery. She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Columbus

Survivors include her husband, George Andler, Columbus; one daughter, Judy (Tom) Fisher, Columbus; one son, George (Michelle) Andler, Columbus; four grandchildren, Abram, and Kyle Fisher, and Maxwell and Molly Andler; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tom Sanderson; and one nephew, Robert Sanderson.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service, at the Zeidler Funeral Home Columbus.

Phyllis C. Cullen
Phyllis C. Cullen, 71, of 1024 Lakecrest Lane, Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at University Hospital, Madison.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, Oct. 16, at noon, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key officiated. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Cullen was born on Jan. 29, 1929, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Victor and Mary (Paraceki) Klukaczewski. She was married to Clarence "Rip" Cullen, on June 16, 1951, in Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Cullen was a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam, and a 1947 graduate of Beaver Dam High school. She worked for the North American Life Insurance Company in Minneapolis, Minn., and then worked at Bonded Collectors in Beaver Dam before managing the Beaver Dam Credit Bureau for 30 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, and the Daughters of Isabella. She served as a volunteer for the "Nifty Nineties" at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam, and was an avid bowler and card player.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence "Rip" Cullen, Beaver Dam; three children, Terry (Jill) Cullen, Maureen (Dan) Miller, and Laurie (Dennis) Hanser, all of Beaver Dam; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Rachel Miller, Scott and Matthew Hanser, and Courtney and Connor Cullen; one great-granddaughter, Lexia Hanser; four sisters, Viola Zimmerman, Lake Mills, Isabelle (Raymond "Happy") Ptaschinski, Beaver Dam, Verna (Tony) Barodte, Detroit, Mich, and Mary (Ed) Trexler, Concord, N.C.; one brother, Ed Klukaczewski, St. Petersburg, Fla.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Joe Klukaczewski and Chester, in infancy; and her sisters, Lucille Hill, Helen Frost, and Lucy, in infancy.

Friends called on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. There was parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, and the Arthritis Foundation.

A luncheon was held at the Bayside Supper Club, Beaver Dam, after the funeral service on Monday.

Ann Flier
WAUPUN - Ann Flier, 67, of N11320 Cottonwood Road, Waupun, died on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, after a courageous battle with cancer.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Reformed Church, Waupun. The Rev. Rick Boon will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery.

Mrs. Flier was born on March 18, 1933, in Randolph, the daughter of Issac and Mamie (Beyer) Buwalda. She was married on July 2, 1954 to Corneil Flier in Waupun.

Mrs. Flier was a life long resident of Waupun. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Waupun where she was director of the Bell Choir. She also served as Ladies Chorus director, was chairman of the library committee, superintendent, teacher, choir member, and a member of the Women's Guild. She sang with the Tri Tones as well. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, painting and music.

Survivors include her husband, Corneil Flier, Waupun; four children, Gary (Karen) Flier, Randy (Lori) Flier, Noreen (Byran) Montsma, and Brian (Shelly) Flier; nine grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; her mother, Mamie Buwalda; one sister, Josephine (Scott) Odiorne; in-laws, Edward (Mildred) Flier, Janet (Harold) Kok, and Harvey (Clara Mae) Flier; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Issac; one brother-in-law, Harold Vander Velde; and two nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Kohls Community Funeral Home, and on Wednesday. Oct. 18, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the First Reformed Church, Waupun.

A memorial fund is being established in Anne's name.

Clarence R. Schaumburg
MAYVILLE - Clarence R. Schaumburg, 78, of N10183 Highway Z, Mayville, died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at his home.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., at Mayville United Methodist Church. The Revs. Christal Bindrich and Cornelius Kanhai will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in Kekoskee cemetery.

Mr. Schaumburg was born on April 30, 1922, in the township of LeRoy, to Julius and Della (Jacquot) Schaumburg. He was married on Aug. 9, 1947, to Ruth Blank in West Bend.

Mr. Schaumburg farmed in the township of LeRoy his entire life. He was born, worked and died on the family homestead in the township of LeRoy. He was a member of Mayville United Methodist Church and of the Young at Hearts Club, Horicon.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Schaumburg, Mayville; his children, Gary (Renate) Schaumburg, Mayville, Diane (Peter Mosbach) Schaumburg, Acton, Mass., Karen (Alan) Bodden, Beaver Dam, and Roger "Rusty" Schaumburg, Mayville; one brother, Elmer Schaumburg, Fox Lake; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Mayville United Methodist Church.

The Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, is serving the family.

Nancy L. Boelter
MARKESAN - Nancy L. Boelter, 46, of Markesan, died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at her home while battling cancer.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m., at the County Line Lutheran Church, Markesan. The Rev. Gary Stangland will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Maria cemetery.

Mrs. Boelter was born on Jan. 26, 1954, in Brandon, the daughter of Ben and Ruth (Nelson) Voskuil. She was married on Oct. 31, 1997, to Steve Boelter at the Green Lake Courthouse.

Mrs. Boelter was a 1972 graduate of Brandon High School. She worked in several area restaurants as a cook.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Boelter, Markesan; three daughters, Jennifer (Daniel) Grumke, Beaver Dam, Jodi (Chris VanBuren) Irish, Markesan, and Jaclyn (Dan) Strieff, Fox Lake; seven grandchildren, Trevor, Trent and Tabitha North, Krystal and Augustine Zastrow, and Hailey and Daniel Jacob Strieff; two sisters, Joanne (Don) Schears, Kansas, and Mary Marquardt, Markesan; three brothers, Gilbert Voskuil, Ripon, James (Betty) Voskuil, and Arnie (Carol) Voskuil, both of Waupun; nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call on Monday, Oct. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Wachholz Family Funeral Home, Markesan, and on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at County Line Lutheran Church, Markesan.

A memorial has been established.

Yvonne D. Becker
HORICON - Yvonne D. Becker, 68, of Horicon, died on Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at her home.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m., at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Hustisford. The Rev. Paul Hudson will officiate. Burial will be on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m., in Hustisford cemetery.

Mrs. Becker was born on Nov. 28, 1931, in Rubicon, the daughter of Gustav and Rosella (Heintz) Shilling. She was married on Nov. 6, 1948, to Lester F. Becker, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Neosho.

Mrs. Becker was employed by Medalist Leitzke (now ITW) of Hustisford, giving 33 years of service before retiring in 1995. She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hustisford.

She was the loving mother of Barbara (Ronald) Wolter, Hustisford, Alton (Naomi) Becker, Horicon, Wanda (Charles) Kluewer, Hustisford, and Dale (Julie) Becker, Westfield; loving grandmother of Scott and Jeff Wolter, Jamie and Brittany Kluewer, and Randy, Jodi and Jennifer Pietschman; great-grandmother of Little Ashley; dearest sister of La June (Nancy) Schilling, Pembine; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester, in 1995; two brothers, Delmer and Juride Schilling; and one daughter, Bonnie Mae.

Friends may call on Monday, Oct. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Hustisford.

Eileen L. Kaul
WAUPUN Eileen Louise Kaul, 66, of 1104 Rock Ave., Waupun, passed away to her heavenly home and found peace in the arms of Jesus, on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. Her death resulted in injuries sustained in an accidental fall and subsequent complications, including long term diabetes.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 10:30 a.m., at Pella Lutheran Church, Waupun. The Revs. Kenneth Spence and Kenneth Loehrke will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.

Mrs. Kaul was born on April 3, 1934, in Campbellsport, the daughter of Alvin and Emma (Lavrenz) Waldschmidt. She was married on May 22, 1954, to Marvin Kaul in Campbellsport.

Mrs. Kaul was a 1952 graduate of Campbellsport High School. Following her marriage, the couple resided in Mayville for nine years, moving to Waupun in 1963. She taught piano lessons for over 20 years and music was an important part of her life, as were arts and crafts. She was a member of Pella Lutheran Church, Waupun, a past member of the choir, Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school.

She was a member of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, of which she was active with its Life Line program. She was a volunteer in many organizations, PTA, Trenton Homemakers and the Community Concert Association. She enjoyed wintering with her husband in Arizona and never turned down a hot card game. She especially loved cooking for her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Kaul, Waupun; two daughters, Jan Harmsen, Waupun, and Julie (Steve) Kunstman, Combined Locks; one son, Tom (Lisa) Kaul, Waupun; nine grandchildren, Derek, Jeremy, Ann (Jon Robbins), John, Eric, Justin, Daniel, Miranda and Samantha; one sister, Aleta (James) Brown, Menomonee Falls; one brother, David Waldschmidt, Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

We will miss you so.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her twin sister, Irene Neuman.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, at Pella Lutheran Church, Waupun.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.

Jean A. Taeffner
PORT ST. LUCIE, FLA. Ð Jean Alberta Vanderkin Taeffner, 74, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2000, at St. Lucie Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m., at Waupun Methodist Church. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery, Waupun.

Mrs. Taeffner was born on July 24, 1925. She was married to Charles G. Taeffner.

Mrs. Taeffner was a 1942 graduate of Waupun High School. Before her retirement, she was a night auditor for the Best Western hotel, Beaver Dam. She enjoyed watching football, knitting and golf. She lived in Port St. Lucie, Fla., for two years, with her daughter .

Survivors include her daughter, Carla Jean Rollins; one son-in-law, Roland Rollins; one grandson, Brandon Rollins; five brothers, Bill Vanderkin, Dave Vanderkin, Ted Vanderkin, John Vanderkin and Larry Vanderkin; three sisters, Phyllis Smedema, Pricilla Engstrom and Mary Doctor; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Charles, on May 2, 1988.

Darleen A. Stibb
FOND DU LAC Ð Darleen Ann Stibb, 65, of 118 North Badger Parkway, Fond du Lac, died on Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

The funeral was held on Monday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m., at Hope Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Jensen officiated. Burial was in Ledgeview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Stibb was born on Nov. 3, 1935. She was married on Nov. 27, 1954, to Melvin W. Stibb at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fox Lake.

Mrs. Stibb attended Randolph Public School. She graduated from Fox Lake High School. During her lifetime she was a member of Hope Lutheran Church since 1961, where in the early days she taught Sunday school. She was on the Oakfield board of education for nine years, and on the CESA board of control for three years. She was also a member of the Loyal Homemakers where she held various offices. She and her husband enjoyed bowling and traveling, taking them to 44 states, Canada and Mexico.

The Lord blessed her with six beautiful and helpful children. One son, Victor Stibb, Waupun; five daughters, Sandra (David) Lockhart, Alamont, Tenn., Renee (Dale) Ter Beest, Brownsville, Crystal (Mike) Lawson, Fond du Lac, Wendi (special friend, Ken) Stibb, Newburg, and Cheri (Steve) Falk, Kewaskum; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey and Melanie Stibb, Nicole, David, Lindsey and Samuel Lockhart, and Jeremy, Kimberly and Travis Ter Beest.

Other survivors include one brother, Dennis Meyers, Beaver Dam; in-laws, Orlo (Arvilla) Stibb, Vernona (Leland) Schueler, Hazel (Wilbert) Weckwerth, Robert Pamenter, Valerie Stone, Gilbert (Marlene) Stibb, Gordon (Pearl) Stibb, Floyd (Carolyn) Stibb, LeRoy (Margaret) Stibb, Carolyn (Darrell) Seehaver, Ruby (Tom) Herbst; cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, 1990; and one sister-in-law, Eunice Parmenter.

Friends called on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, and on Monday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m., until the time of service, at Hope Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac.
Memorials may be made to the Hope Lutheran Church elevator fund.
