DARRELL D. ALLEN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Darrell D. Allen, 47, of 506 Ridge St., Keyser, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born on Nov. 18, 1951, in Keyser, he was the son of the late Adam Arthur and Lillian Pauline (Washington) Allen.
Mr. Allen was formerly employed with the custodial department at Keyser High School. He was a 1970 graduate of Keyser High School and was a member of the Janes United Methodist Church, Keyser, where he sang in the Church choir. In 1994, he was inducted into the Keyser High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Surviving are four brothers, Rev. Darnell A. Allen and wife Lois, Keyser, Delton M. Allen, Washington D.C., Marlon T. Allen and Betty, Keyser, Paul Dwight Allen and wife Sonya, Keyser; three sisters, Diane Roach, Westwood, N.J., Darlene Allen, Columbus, Ohio, Dorene Allen, Keyser, W.Va.; three aunts, Navella Fisher, Cumberland, Helen Johnson, Columbus, Ohio, Dolores Edmonson, Cleveland, Ohio; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, W.Va., on Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Sam Starling, Jr., the Rev. Lester Clifford and the Rev. Henderson Wheeler officiating. The body will be taken to the church on hour prior to services.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
GERTRUDE M. COSNER
MT. STORM, W.Va. - Gertrude May (Mackley) Cosner, 87, of HC 76, Box 300, Mt. Storm, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg, W.Va.
Born on Dec. 18, 1911, in Mt. Storm, she was the daughter of the late Walter Mackley and Edna Blanche (Idleman) Mackley. She is also preceded in death by her husband, W. Frank Cosner, on Feb. 6, 1978; one son; one daughter; and one grandchild.
Mrs. Cosner was owner and operator of Cosner General Store from 1946 to 1976. She was a member of Mt. Storm Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Opal Moreland and husband, Loyal, of Mt. Storm, Sandra Cosner and Eddie, of Mt. Storm; one sister, Helen Lambka, of Mt. Storm; three brothers, David Hanlin, of Mobile, Ala., Gerald Hanlin, of Mt. Storm, Edward Hanlin, of Oakland; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Mt. Storm Presbyterian Church, on Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Smith, officiating.
WILLA B. ALLEN
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Willa Belle (Lee) Allen, 74, of Fort Ashby, formerly of Springfield, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born July 18, 1924, in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Alec R. and Nannie (Hartman) Lee. She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter; one brother, Alec Lee Jr.; and two sisters, Lorena Eckenrode and Helen Canan.
Mrs. Allen had been employed as a cook at Country Roads, Dowden's, and the W&B; restaurants. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Franklin Allen; one daughter, Norma Hershberger and husband Harold, Fort Ashby; one son, James Edward Allen and wife Cindy, Inwood; five grandchildren, Jodi Bettencourt, Andy Hershberger, Jason Allen, Bethany Allen and Jamie Allen; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla, Skye and Shelby.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Delbert Poling officiating.

EVALYN M. ARNOLD
EGLON, W.Va. - Evalyn May Arnold, age 88, of Eglon, died Monday, July 5, at Cortland Acres Nursing Home, Thomas, W.Va.
She was born May 15, 1911, at Stemple Ridge, and was a daughter of the late Henry Simon Smith and Minnie (Hauser) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Arnold Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Paul H. Arnold Jr., Aurora, and Charles E. Arnold, Lucas, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Spiker, Mansfield, Ohio, and Mrs. Elaine Grimm, Aurora; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Lantz officiating.
BARBARA C. BEEGLE
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - Barbara Constance Beegle of Ridgeley, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at her residence.
At Mrs. Beegle's request, her body was cremated. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, at noon from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

EFFIE A. ALLAMONG
KEYSER, W.Va. - Mrs. Effie A. Allamong, 88, of Route 1, Keyser, died Sunday, March 21, 1999, at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 14, 1911, in Headsville, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (Staggs) Fink. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Rogers Allamong, on Jan. 31, 1977.
Mrs. Allamong was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Elden Allamong, Keyser, and Arbutus A. Morris and husband, Jasper, Keyser; a step daughter, Patsy Allamong, Hampstead, N.C.; a brother, Woodrow Fink, Headsville; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Markwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at 2 p.m. with Dennis E. Morris officiating.
