KEYSER, W.Va. - Margaret E. Clements, 87, of 1370 Terri St., Keyser, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born June 14, 1911, in New Castle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George E. Stoddard and Leah M. (Swift) Rhodes.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Clements, on Feb. 17, 1980.
Mrs. Clements was a registered nurse and a 1932 graduate of West Penn Hospital School of Nursing. She came to Keyser in 1949 and was proprietor with her late husband of Clements Jewelry.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a choir member, Sunday School teacher, pianist and member of the Mary Sanders Bible Class. She was a member and Past Matron of the Alkire Chapter 10 O.E.S., Keyser; member of the Keyser Women's Club; and an active member of the Keyser Merchants Association.
She is survived by three sons, John Mark Clements, Keyser, Robert F. Clements and wife Deborah, Sanford, Fla., and William L. Clements and wife Janet, Bel Air, Cumberland, Md.; two grandchildren, Cynthia E. Clements, Bel Air, Cumberland, and William J. Clements, Stephens City, Va.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Keyser, on Saturday, March 6, 1999, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Samuel E. Starling Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Mineral County Senior Citizens.
GRACE E. BAUGHMAN
PIEDMONT, W.Va. - Grace E. Baughman, 86, formerly of Piedmont, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 15, 1913, in Dobbin, she was the daughter of the late Robert I. Morrison and Bertha A. (Smith) Morrison. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Baughman who died Aug. 13, 1977.
Mrs. Baughman was a member of the Piedmont Presbyterian Church, and was a member of the Mineral County Republican Club for a number of years.
Surviving are one son, Blake Baughman and wife Jean, Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. Marguerite Arnold, Westernport, Md.; and two grandchildren, Jordan and Scott Baughman.
Family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Smith, Pastor, officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jordan and Scott Baughman, James and Donald Wildman and Paul Tranum.
Honorary pallbearers will be James McHenry, Joseph Diaz and Lindy Bell.

LOUISE MAE CRAWFORD
KEYSER, W.Va. - Louise Mae Crawford, 91, of Route 1, Keyser, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at her residence.
Born on Sept. 29, 1907, at Buckhannon, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Joseph Snell and Ora (Pence) Snell Reed.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Crawford, in November 1985; one sister, Beulah Murphy; and a great-grandson, Travis Adam Crawford. Mrs. Crawford was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Crawford was a co-founder of the former Limestone Presbyterian Chapel and was a member of the Keyser Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three sons, Billy R. Nelson II, and wife, Lelia, Clarence H. Crawford Jr., and wife, Sue, all of Keyser, and Paul E. Crawford and wife, Pat, Petersburg; two daughters, Anna Lee Nield, Wiley Ford, and Glenda Staggs and husband, Robert, Keyser; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen P. Fritz and Pastor Lloyd Heatwole officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
MARGARET E. CHANEY
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Chaney, 56, of Ridgeley, died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, in her residence.
Born on Jan. 1, 1943, in Frostburg, Md., she was the daughter of Anthony McKenzie, Ridgeley, and the late Jenny R. (Duckworth) McKenzie.
Ms. Chaney was employed as a director of Potomac Highlands Center for Independent Living, and was a board member of the Keyser Family Crisis Center.
Surviving are three daughters, Maria Winebrenner and husband, Cliff, Midland, Md., Veronica (Ronni) Matthews and husband, Gary, Lonaconing, Md., and Karen Chaney, Ridgeley; one sister, Karen Brady, Ridgeley; two nieces, Annette Klavuhn and Jaime Webb; one nephew, Rusty Poland; two great-nieces, Sarah Klavuhn and Mercedes Webb; one great-nephew, Nicholas Klavuhn; five grandchildren, Beth Winebrenner, Zachary Winebrenner, Rachel Winebrenner, Joshua Fasching, and Dakota Matthews; and one great-granddaughter, Jordyn Hanlin.
At Ms. Chaney's request, her body was donated to the Howard University for Anatomical Research.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Howard University for Cancer Research, 520 W St., N.W., Washington DC 20059.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, LaVale, Md.
The family of Margaret "Peggy" Chaney will gather for a celebration of her life at her residence, Route 1, Box 192, Ridgeley, W.Va., on Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999. Friends and family are invited.
The tribute will begin at 3 p.m. and continue into the evening hours.
