DARL E. RINEHART SR.
AMISSVILLE, Va. - Darl E. Rinehart Sr., 61, beloved husband of Natalina Marrocco Rinehart, of Amissville, died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Fairfax Hospital.
He was born Sept. 23, 1937, in Aurora, W.Va., son of the late Darl W. Rinehart and Thelma V. (Cole) Rinehart.
Mr. Rinehart served in the military from 1956 to 1960. He was the night manager of Marrocco's Italian Restaurant in Washington, D.C., for 21 years. In 1985, he began his own trucking business, Chantilly Express. He resided in Chantilly, Va., for 22 years.
Survivors include four children, Darl E. Rinehart Jr., Sterling, Va., Elizabeth R. Tapscott, Richmond, Denise R. Mazzan, Sterling, and Dane K. Rinehart, Amissville; seven grandchildren, Krystal, Katherine, Cody, C.J., Samantha, Anthony and Christopher; three brothers, John J. Rinehart Sr., Chester 'Karl' Rinehart and Earl 'Pete' Rinehart, all of Cumberland, Md.; four sisters, Alverta Bittinger, June Smith and Linda Simpson, all of Cumberland, and Betty Glover, South Carolina.
Friends will be received at Murphy's Falls Church Funeral Home, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Luke's Catholic Church, McLean, Va., on Saturday, March 20, at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, Md.
Pallbearers will be Darl Rinehart Jr., Dane Rinehart, Gregory Rinehart, Steve Tapscott, Carl Mazzan, and Michael Marrocco.
CLIFTON S. SPENCER, JR.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Clifton Sylvester Spencer, Jr., 71, of Cleveland, formerly of Paw Paw, W.Va., died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, in Cleveland.
Born June 18, 1928, in Paw Paw, he was the son of the late Clifton S. Spencer, Sr., and Ada Francis Washington-Spencer.
Mr. Spencer was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict in Japan from 1949 to 1952, where he received numerous medals and citations. He was a graduate of Howard High School, class of 1947, Piedmont, W.Va., and attended two years of college at West Virginia University. He lived in Cleveland for 40 years. During this time he worked at J.L. Steel and the United States Postal Service Cleveland Division for 30 years.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Ernestine C. Spencer; one daughter, Sylvia Marlene Spencer-Harvine and husband, Raymond, Bedford, Ohio; one son, Clifton Sylvester Spencer, III, Richmond Heights, Ohio; one sister, Mildred Louise Harris, Pittsburg, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends will be received at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the church on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Harry Coleman, officiating.
NETTIE V. RINKER
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Nettie V. Rinker, 90, of Romney, died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at the Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney.
She was born June 24, 1908, in Purgitsville, the daughter of the late Walter and Ethel (Merritt) Helman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dan Rinker, on Feb. 20, 1986; one son, Eugene S. Rinker; and four brothers.
She is survived by one son, Lloyd E. Rinker, Augusta; one daughter, Catherine L. Hogbin, Romney; a brother, Harold A. Helman, Augusta; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Shaffer Funeral Home on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at the Shaffer Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Biser officiating.
VIOLET I. RINKER
PURGITSVILLE, W.Va. - Violet Irene Rinker, 68, of Purgitsville, died Monday, May 31, 1999, at her residence.
Born Feb. 28, 1931, in Sector, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late John Calvin and Florence Viola (Corbin) Rinker.
Mrs. Rinker was a member of the Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Purgitsville.
Surviving are one daughter, Cathy Rinker, Romney, W.Va.; one brother, Edward Rinker, Purgitsville, W.Va.; and three sisters, Frances Tovar, Arlington, Va., Karen Riche, Purgitsville, W.Va., and Joyce Stickley, Purgitsville, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Thursday, June 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be conducted at the funeral home Friday, June 4, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Glen R. Hamric officiating.
PEARL D. STEWART
BURLINGTON, W.Va. - Pearl Daniel Stewart, 87, of Rt. 2, Box 14, Burlington, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born on Dec. 11, 1911, in Williamsport, W.Va., he was the son of the late Homer and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (Smith) Stewart. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Katherine K. (Bruce) Stewart, on Oct. 22, 1973; three brothers, Wilson, Ernest, and Kendall Stewart; and by one sister, Mary Elizabeth Stewart.
Mr. Stewart was retired as a payloader with the Moran Coal Company. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Williamsport. He was an avid gardener and had a great love for the outdoors.
Surviving are two sons, James B. Stewart and wife, Rochelle, of Keyser, W.Va., Daniel A. Stewart and wife, Virginia, of Cresaptown; three daughters, Katie L. Stewart, of Burlington, Linda E. Stewart, of Winchester, Va., Lila J. Franks, of Burlington; two brothers, Brownley Stewart, of Burlington, Stanley Stewart and wife, Mary, of Burlington; one additional sister-in-law, Mary Stewart, Cumberland; and four grandchildren, Monica L. Stewart, Danielle L. Stewart, Jeremy I. Franks, and Jamie R. Stewart.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, W.Va., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Williamsport, W.Va., on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Pastor Rebecca Bennett and the Rev. Stanley Kile, officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
JENNIFER A. TALLMAN
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Jennifer Ann Tallman, 15, of Fort Ashby, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Feb. 24, 1984, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of James Edward Tallman Jr., Wiley Ford, and Doreen Berry, Fort Ashby.
Jennifer was a tenth grade student at Frankfort High School. She was a former cheerleader for G.F.C. Reds and the Ridgeley Rams. She was a former dancing student at Tammy's Bodies in Motion. She was a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church, Cumberland.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her stepfather, John W. Emerick, Fort Ashby; one stepbrother, Jonathon L. Emerick, at home; one stepsister, Jessica M. Emerick, at home; maternal grandparents, Thomas L. Berry, Nashville, Tenn., and Selma Berry, Cumberland; paternal grandparents, James E. Tallman Sr. and Bonnie Tallman, Wiley Ford; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and numerous friends.

JAMES F. TAYLOR
WILEY FORD, W.Va. - James F. Taylor, 85, of Wiley Ford, died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Dec. 3, 1913, in Littleton, he was the son of the late Moses and Emma (Lemley) Taylor. He also was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Clara Ellen Taylor; and one son, Forrest E. Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was an engineer of the Western Maryland Railway and CSX for 40 years. He was a member of the First Church of God, the AARP, and the local Senior Citizens Centers. He enjoyed gardening, loved to play bridge, and enjoyed many friends at several senior centers.
Surviving are two sons, Roger A. Taylor and wife, Marlene, Fort Ashby, James D. Taylor, Cumberland, Md.; three grandsons, Michael D. Taylor and wife, Tami, Morgantown, Christopher A. Taylor, Fort Ashby, Michael "Buddy" Taylor, Ridgeley; two granddaughters, Debbie and Kathy; one sister, Genevieve Fordyce, Wellsville, Ohio; and a special partner for 14 years, W. Rita Heavner.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Samuel Seletyn officiating.
