REBECCA F. COLEMAN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Rebecca F. Coleman, 77, of 104 Chestnut St., Keyser, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Feb. 16, 1920, in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late Laura Washington. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Wilman A. Coleman, on Sept. 25, 1992.

She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy L. Jeffries, Washington, D.C., and Shirley L. Coleman, Keyser; three sons, William R. Coleman and wife, Cynthia, Hampton, Va., Richard L. Coleman and wife Julie, Keyser; and Jeffrey L. Coleman, Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren, Jeannie Thomas, Landover, Md., Damon Jeffries, Greensboro, N.C., and Evan Coleman, Keyser; one great-grandchild, Sierra Thomas; one sister, Virginia Gunn; two nieces, Barbara Turpeau and Sharon Nowlin; one great-niece, Connie; and one nephew, Trey, all of Atlanta, Ga.

Friends will be received at the Markwood McKenzie Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Stephen W. Jackson officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.

FLORENCE H. HORNER
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - M. Florence (Harper) Hershberger Horner, 95, of Ridgeley, formerly of Parkersburg, W.Va., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born April 27, 1902, in Elk, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Charlotte (Huffman) Harper.

She also was preceded in death by her first husband, John Walter Hershberger, Sr., in 1955; her second husband, E. Clyde Horner, Sr., in 1981; one son, John Walter Hershberger, Jr.; and two sisters, Levi Flanagan and Georgia Carr Adamson.

Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Horner had been a teacher in Tucker County.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Hendricks, W.Va., and the East Seventh Street United Methodist Church, Parkersburg; Clara Edna Chapter, O.E.S.; and the Blackwater Chapter, D.A.R.

Survivors include one daughter, Juanita Leese, and husband, Eldon, with whom she had resided; two sons, Harold R. Hershberger and wife, Betty, Ashland, Ky., and George H. Hershberger and wife, Mary, Blackfoot, Idaho; three step-daughters, Lillian Horner and husband, Earl, Parkersburg, Katherine Anna Campbell, Atlanta, Ga., and Madeline Foss, Milton, Fla.; one step-son, E. Clyde Horner, Jr., Parkersburg; six grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Iris Horner.

Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Cumberland Chapter #56, O.E.S. will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9 p.m., with the Rev. Mildred Martin officiating.

A graveside service will be held at the East Nimishillen Church cemetery, Hartville, Ohio, on Thursday at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the East Seventh Street United Methodist Church, Parkersburg, WV 26101.

GERALD "JERRY" COLLINS
SPRING HILL, Fla. - Gerald R. "Jerry" Collins, 73, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1997, at Columbia Regional Medical Center, Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, Fla.
Born in Ridgeley, W.Va., he moved to Spring Hill eight years ago from Harrisburg, Pa.

Mr. Collins was a special agent for U.S.F. & G. Insurance Company. He subsequently owned and operated a general insurance agency in Palmyra, Pa. Prior to his retirement in 1988 he was president and co-owner of Consolidated Insurance Services, Inc. He was a World War II Merchant Marine, a graduate of the U.S. Marine Academy, New London, Conn., and a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Army. Mr. Collins was Methodist and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Professional Insurance Agents Association, a charter member of Hershey-Palmyra Sertoma Club, a charter member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church, and member of Brownstone Lodge No. 666 A.F. & A.M.

He is survived by his wife, Doris, of Spring Hill; a son, Scott and wife, Swan, Harrisburg, Pa.; a daughter, Chris and husband Edward Jones, Gainesville, Fla; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at 11 a.m. at the Spring Hill Chapel, U.S. Route 19, with the Rev. Ron Daniels officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Florida National cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the American Heart Association, Florida Affiliate Inc., P.O. Box 2251, New Port Richey, FL 34656.

CHARLES M. COOK
KEYSER, W.Va. - Charles Michael "Mike" Cook, 40, of Route 5, Box 23, Keyser, died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Oct. 6, 1957, in Cumberland, he was a son of John A. Cook, Rawlings, Md., and Louetta Irene (Hott) Cook, Keyser. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Edward Cook.

Mr. Cook was an employee of the former Good Water Works Bottling Company, Inc. He was a graduate of Bruce High School, Westernport, Md. He was loved by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, surviving are two brothers, John Frederick Cook, Rawlings, and Wayne Cook, Keyser; and three sisters, Laura Spitzer, Keyser, Doris Weatherbie, Mount Savage, Md., and Brenda Haggerty, McCoole, Md.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Waco Biser officiating.

Interment will be in Dawson cemetery, Dawson, Md.

PATRICK "GARY" COOPER
BURLINGTON, W.Va. - Patrick "Gary" Cooper, 51, of Route 1, Box 19 B, Rogers Road, Burlington, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997, as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic accident at the Westvaco Corp. Finished Products Warehouse.
Born Feb. 13, 1946 at Cumberland, Md., he was a son of Elaine (Hoffa) Cooper, Burlington, and the late Garland P. Cooper.

Mr. Cooper was a winder operator for the Westvaco Corp. with 28 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a 1964 graduate of Keyser High School, where he was active in the football, baseball and softball teams. He also attended Potomac State College, Keyser.

He was a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church; Local 676 United Paper Makers; and Mill Creek Country Club. He was an assistant Little League coach.

He was a devoted husband, father, and friend and enjoyed hunting with his hunting buddies and his two children.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Charlene "June" (James) Cooper; one son, Chadwick L. Cooper, Spc 4 Army Ranger, Hunter Army Air Field, Georgia; one daughter, Alicia D. Cooper, graduate student and Campus Police Officer, George Washington University, Washington, D.C.; one brother, John G. Cooper and wife Roberta, Burlington; four sisters, Pamela Morlen and husband Jim, Burlington, Candace Fairbanks and husband John, Pinehurst N.C., Marjorie Baker and Patricia Sue Kesner, both of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Angela Cosner and Dr. Sue Harris officiating.

Mr. Cooper had requested that following his funeral services his body be cremated and his final resting place to be in"The Wind."

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the National Wild Turkey Federation, c/o Glenn "Tink" Smith, P.O. Box 1, Piedmont, WV 26750.

ARLIE E. COSNER JR .
KEYSER, W.Va. - Arlie E. Cosner Jr., 64, of 26 Vernon St., Keyser, died Tuesday, April 29, 1997, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester.
Born on June 7, 1932, at Westernport, Md., he was a son of Elsie K. (Harr) Cosner, Cross, and the late Arlie E. Cosner Sr.

Mr. Cosner was retired from the Westvaco Luke Mill as a machine coater. Most recently, he was employed with K&H; Rentals, Keyser, and served as a volunteer at the Clary Street Learning Center for one and a half years before becoming employed there.

A 1951 graduate of Bayard High School, Mr. Cosner was a member of the Church of the Assumption, Keyser. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict, and was retired from the reserves with 20 years of service. He was a member of the 265th Supply Unit, Cresaptown, Md., and Boyce-Houser Post 41, American Legion, Keyser. He also was a member of Knights of Columbus, Council 685, Westernport; Lodge 271 LOOM, Cumberland; and the AARP. Mr. Cosner also worked as a very active volunteer for the United Way for many years.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 44 years, Pauline E. (Liller) Cosner; three sons, Arlie E. Cosner III and wife Vicky, Eric A. Cosner and wife Patti, and Andrew E. Cosner and wife Anna Marie, all of Keyser; one brother, Albert W. Cosner and wife Carol, Penn Run, Pa.; one sister, Anna K. Cosner, Cross; and five grandchildren, Mindy Cosner, Roth Cosner, Sadie Cosner, Justin Cosner, and Andrew Cosner.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Father Ivan M. Lebar, TOR, officiating.

Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.

A rosary/prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m.
