HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Elvira Mae "Mom" Cloud, 92, of Hedgesville, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Care Haven of Berkeley.
Born June 1, 1907, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Laura Merchant Sperow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Cloud.
She was a member of Falling Waters Presbyterian Church for more than 70 years, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and piano player.
She a member of Hedgesville Chapter 67 O.E.S., serving as the Chaplain for more than 35 years and a member of the U.C.T.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Catherine Payne of Falling Waters, W.Va., Gladys M. Burcker of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Rebecca Louise James of Hedgesville; a son, C. James Cloud of Hedgesville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a niece.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Kibler Sperow; two granddaughters, Lillie Belle Nisewarner and Anne Williamson Payne and a great-grandson, Jeremy Nathanial Payne.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Spring Mills Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Elizabeth Brishcar will officiate. Burial will be in Falling Waters Presbyterian Church cemetery, Spring Mills, W.Va.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
Robert W. Sadosky
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Robert W. Sadosky, 66, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, Va.
Born Sept. 25, 1933, in Wendel, Pa., he was the son of the late William and Katherine Jurcevich Sadosky.
His wife, Elizabeth Ann Kowalewski Sadosky, died March 24, 1995.
He was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh.
He was a geologist and retired from U.S. Silica, Berkeley Springs.
He served in the U.S. Army with the Signal Corps.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Berkeley Springs.
He was a member of Humane Society of Morgan County and was active in the Morgan County Library.
He was a member of Shirley Farms Association Board of Directors. He was an antique collector and dealer. He was a philanthropist who contributed greatly to the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown.
He is survived by two aunts, Helen Crown of Springdale, Pa., and Betty DeCarme, of San Diego; two uncles, Dr. Robert Miller of McKeesport, Pa., and Frank Jurcevich of Pittsburgh and cousins.
A funeral liturgy will be conducted on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 116 S. Washington St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. John S. Ledford will officiate. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Cheswick, Pa.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Timmy W. Clever
MERCERSBURG, W.Va. - Timmy Wilson Clever, 42, of 12450 Rockwell Lane, died Monday, May 15, 2000, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born May 5, 1958, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of Audrey Ficks Clever of Mercersburg and the late Teddy W. Clever.
He was employed as a machinist by Ingersoll-Rand Co., in Shippensburg, Pa.; and was a former employee of Mack Trucks Inc. in Hagerstown.
He was a member of Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 and Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517, both in Mercersburg; and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 842 and Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club, both in Chambersburg, Pa.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiance, Marian D. Williams of Mercersburg; a stepdaughter, Tara F. Williams of Edinboro, Pa.; two sisters, Teresa M. Price of Fannettsburg, Pa., and Tammy M. Rebuck of Greencastle, Pa.; one niece; and aunts and uncles.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Clayton Memorial Church of God in Mercersburg. The Rev. Paul E. Nolan will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Mercersburg.
Viewing will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave. in Mercersburg; and Friday at the church at noon.
John M. Hoaglund
HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - John M. Hoaglund, 84, of Harpers Ferry, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at IHS of Charles Town.
Born Aug. 9, 1915, in Kiron, Iowa, he was the son of the late John E. and Maria Seestrum Hoaglund.
He was a graduate of the University of Iowa, and did graduate work at Drake University. He was a student of the American painter Grant Wood.
He was associated with Hilltop House at Harpers Ferry.
He was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church at Kiron.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Elmarie Smithson; and a brother, Eugene Hoaglund.
Funeral and burial services will be held at a later date at the Kiron cemetery, Kiron.
Arrangements are by Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry.
Billy S. Light
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Billy S. Light, 69, of Martinsburg, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at City Hospital.
Born Oct. 12, 1930, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Bailey and Rosie Ridenour Light.
He is survived by three brothers, Norman Light of Inwood, W.Va., Calvin Light of Gerrardstown, W.Va. and Garland E. Light of Martinsburg; one half-sister, Ethel Light of Chambersburg, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John C. Light; one half-sister, Pearl Mauck; and one half-brother, Berkeley Light.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran cemetery in Arden, W.Va.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary S. Ruble
BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - Mary Smith Ruble, 73, of Bunker Hill, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Jan. 10, 1927, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the later Jewitt M. and Hulda Hudson Smith.
She retired from Winchester Medical Center where she worked in central supply.
She was a member of Bunker Hill Brethren in Christ Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence G. Ruble; three daughters, Mary E. Medina and Laureen Rogers, both of Bunker Hill, and Rebecca Early of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Tull Ruble of Bunker Hill and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harold T. Ruble; a daughter, Kelly L. Ruble; a brother, Harold Smith and a sister, Virginia Schug.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Bunker Hill Brethren in Christ Church. The Rev. Raymond Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Paynes Chapel Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel.
