HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Linda Lou Wolford Lear Murphy, 63, of Hedgesville and formerly of Romney, W.Va., died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at her home.
Born Feb. 9, 1937, in Romney, she was the daughter of William H. Wolford of Romney and the late Anna M. Heavner Wolford.
She worked for 32 years at C&P Telephone Co. She retired in 1992 as an engineering supervisor.
She attended Hedgesville Assembly of God Church.
She was a member of AARP; American Legion Auxiliary Unit 223; Sykesville Women of the Moose; and Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald P. Murphy of Hedgesville, W.Va.; a son, Thomas L. Lear II of Hedgesville; two sisters, Mary Ellen Carr of Sykesville, Md. and Patricia A. Hott of Augusta, W.Va.; three brothers, William H. Wolford Jr. of Romney, Edward Allen Wolford of Westminster, Md. and Robert E. Wolford of Winchester, Va.; two stepchildren, Douglas P. Murphy and Tamera J. Murphy; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles and cousins.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home, in Romney. The Rev. Frank Meadows will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer cemetery in Romney.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Edna S. Renaud
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Edna S. Renaud, 98, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at Canterbury of Shepherdstown, W.Va.
Born Jan. 3, 1902, in Keedysville, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Mary Drenner Shaffer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Renaud.
She owned and operated her own farms in Jefferson County.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Martinsburg, where she was vice president of Philathea Sunday School class.
She was a member of Moler's Extension Club; former vice president of the state extension service; a former member of the Republican Party of Jefferson County; and a member of Jefferson County 4-H Club Foundation Inc.
She was a retired senior volunteer of City Hospital.
She is survived by a son, Richard S. Renaud of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Rachel Renaud, Mark Renaud, Julie Nesselrodt and David Renaud; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Bohn; and three brothers, Raymond Shaffer, Raleigh Shaffer and Fred Shaffer.
Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Martinsburg. The Rev. Edward Rogers will officiate.

Richard L. Shaw
HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Richard Lawrence "Dick" Shaw, 74, of Shannondale and formerly of Arlington, Va., died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at College View Nursing Center in Frederick, Md.
Born July 30, 1925, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Thomas Henry and Vera Culver Shaw.
He was a graduate of Arlington High School; and received a bachelor of science degree from George Washington University, and a master's degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
He retired from the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. as a court reporter.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Sons of the American Revolution, Washington, D.C. Chapter; Founders and Patriots of America; St. Andrews Society of Washington, D.C.; and Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem.
He is survived by his former wife, Norma Fox of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, Bradley Shaw of Annapolis, Md.; a stepson, Michael Amos of Chesapeake, Va.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman D. Shaw.
Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town. The Rev. James Chambly will officiate. Burial will be in Quimby cemetery in Silvara, Pa.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jack Householder
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jack Householder, 69, of Jacksonville and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Medical Center in Jacksonville.
Born May 14, 1930, in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Charlie and Betty Kesecker Householder.
He attended public schools in Morgan County, W.Va.
He owned and operated a general aircraft maintenance facility in Jacksonville for more than 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy; and was honorably discharged on May 11, 1950.
He was a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
He was a member of Quiet Birdman's Pilot Association.
He was active with Gideon's International.
He is survived by his wife, Willadene J. Sanders Householder; two sons, Stephen Householder and Darryl Kim Householder; three daughters, Deborah Jewel Shaw, Judith Christine Albritton and Barbara Dianne McDaniel, all of Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca Michael and Esther Yost; and two brothers, Charles Warren Householder and Herbert Householder.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Harrison Avenue and Goff Street in Berkeley Springs. Pastor Wayne Frum will officiate. Burial with graveside military honors conducted by Tri-State Honor Guard will be in Spohrs Crossroads cemetery in Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends Thursday at 9 a.m. at the church.

Virginia O. Osborne
FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Virginia O. Osborne, 64, of Falling Waters, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at her home.
Born Aug. 27, 1935, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John William and Cora Shifflett Donivan.
She retired as a nursing assistant at Williamsport Nursing Home.
She was a member of Buck Hill Bible Church.
She was a member of AARP.
She is survived by her husband, Harold R. Osborne; three daughters, Sherry L. Dockeney of Falling Waters, Kelly J. Hoffmann of Martinsburg and Stormy R. Peterson of Paw Paw, W.Va.; four sisters, Anna Eavey, Doris Steele, Jean Seeders and Odessa Cloud, all of Martinsburg; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Karen Sue Osborne and Karol Ray Osborne; her twin sister, Ona Lee Donivan; and two brothers, Millard Donivan and David Donivan.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at Buck Hill Bible Church. The Rev. John M. Emert will officiate.
