CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Lillie Virginia Frick, 75, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at Intergrated Health Services of West Virginia in Charles Town.
Born Oct. 22, 1924, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Elizabeth Anna Donivan Smallwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lee Frick.
She worked at Twin Oaks Orchards.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by two sisters, Nellie Woodard of Clarksville, Tenn., and Dorothy Easterday of Clearbrook, Va.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Somers.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home in Ranson, W.Va. Dr. Wyman Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, W.Va.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kenneth B. Muck
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Kenneth Brisco Muck, 84, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Silver Age Services.
Born Feb. 20, 1916, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Samuel and Carrie Mitchel Muck.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Jane Muck.
He retired from orchard and farm work.
He is survived by a daughter, Ruby Mauck of Martinsburg; a son, Jerry Mauck of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; three sisters, Agnus Painter of Martinsburg, Gladys Wilt of Frederick, Md., and Jeanie Greenwalt of Virginia; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Conos; and five brothers, James Mauck, Samuel Mauck, Ted Mauck, Arch Mauck, and Robert Mauck.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale cemetery. The Rev. Helen Tenney will officiate.
Mary E. Dalgarn
HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Mary Elizabeth Dalgarn, 85, of Harpers Ferry, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at her home.
Born Sept. 21, 1914, in Harpers Ferry, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Kemp Sr. and Charlotte Taylor Cavalier.
She attended Shepherd College and received nurses training at Garfield Hospital in Washington, D.C.
She was a retired nurse.
She was a Protestant.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Beth Dotton; a son, Ira Nathan Dalgarn of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Nancy Cavalier Perry of Charles Town, W.Va.; three brothers, David Taylor Cavalier and Frank Schilling Cavalier, both of Harpers Ferry, and Cyrus Wakefield Cavalier of Elkins, W.Va.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Emily Jane Cavalier and Mildred Gordon Cavalier; and a brother, Kenneth Kemp Cavalier Jr.
A memorial service will held at the convenience of the family.

Dorothy E. Smith
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Dorothy Evelyn Smith, 78, of Charles Town, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at her home.
Born Feb. 11, 1922, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ida Barron Whittington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Smith, in 1992.
She owned and operated a small orchard in the Bardane area of Jefferson County, W.Va. Also, she and her husband started, owned and operated Smith Oil Co. in Ranson for many years.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lee Barrow of Inwood, W.Va.; a son, William M. Smith of Charles Town; three sisters, Arietta McDonough and Edith Hostler, both of Ranson, W.Va., and Pauline Young of Chambersburg, Pa.; a brother, Riley Whittington of Ranson; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Smith Hook; two brothers, Taylor Whittington and Robert Whittington; and a grandson.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town. The Rev. Kent Tice will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery in Charles Town.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - David Craig Rudy, 43, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at his home.
Born Nov. 25, 1956, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Elmer Jack and Ruth C. Snyder Rudy.
He was a Protestant.
He is survived by his wife, Delores "Dee" Elliott Rudy; a stepson, David Elliott of Martinsburg; a sister, Patricia Cole of Martinsburg; and three brothers, Jerry C. Rudy of Martinsburg, and Dr. L. Jack Rudy and Gilbert D. Rudy, both of Hedgesville, W.Va.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. Dr. L. Jack Rudy will officiate. Burial will be in Johnsontown Bible Church cemetery.

James F. Butts Sr.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - James F. Butts Sr., 82, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Sept. 2, 1917, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late George L. and Ella Furley Butts.
He was the owner and operator of Butts' Tree Service in Berkeley County.
He was a member of Mountainside Tabernacle Church, and was pastor for several years at Independent Revival Center.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beulah Gantt Butts; three daughters, Joyce A. Johnson of Inwood, W.Va., Linda L. Dugan of Martinsburg and Brenda K. Elkins of Inwood, W.Va.; a son, Gary L. Butts of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two sisters, Edna Simpson and Dora Ellen, both of Martinsburg; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy D. Butts and James F. Butts Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy Aikens, Lucindi Roy and Georgie Woodward; and two brothers, Lewis Butts and Bruce Butts.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. James L. Schuelke will officiate. Burial will be in Mountainside Tabernacle Church cemetery.
