CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Hedwig Hundert Everhart, 94, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at her home.
Born June 17, 1905, in Calbe Saale, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Karl F. Hundert.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Melolhose; and her second husband, Ferd M. Everhart.
She was a beautician and a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
She was a member of Jefferson County Senior Center.
She is survived by a son, Ralph Walter Aruther Everhart of Charles Town.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Vogel; and three brothers, Karl Hundert, Ralph Hundert and Helmut Hundert.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home in Ranson, W.Va. The Rev. Richard E. Neal will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery in Charles Town.
The family will receive friends Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Delphia M. McKinley
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Delphia M. McKinley, 73, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at her home.
Born March 20, 1926, in Sylvania, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ross and Zada Spiker Diehl.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Lively, at home, and Jo Ann Craig of Martinsburg; two stepsons, Charles McKinley of Martinsburg and William McKinley of Moorefield, W.Va.; two sisters, Dexie Ketterman and Rhonda Lowe, both of Ellicott City, Md.; a brother, Bruce Diehl of Martinsburg; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Martha Hughes; and a stepson, George McKinley.
Graveside services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Loudon Park cemetery in Baltimore. The Rev. William Phebus will officiate.

Floyd F. Thomas
SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Floyd Franklin Thomas, 79, of Shenandoah Junction, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at his home.
Born March 9, 1920, he was the son of the late Elmer Lee and Volie Louise Hurt Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Mae Thomas, in 1997.
He was a retired employee of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division.
He was a Catholic.
He was a member of Charles Town American Legion; and Charles Town VFW.
He is survived by a son, Wayne Kenneth Thomas of Inwood, W.Va.; a sister, Gurnie V. Feury of Charles Town, W.Va.; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Thomas.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, 2060 Rosedale cemetery Road in Martinsburg. The Rev. William Crowe will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Franklin S. Bell
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Franklin Scott "Gus" Bell, 39, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born June 4, 1960, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of Franklin E. and Elizabeth M. Toup Bell of Martinsburg.
He was a 1979 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He was an honorary member of Baker Heights Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Kathy M. Bell, Debbie A. Schell and Tammy L. Wise, all of Martinsburg; and two nephews.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Eugene Gossett Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Effie K. Thompson
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Effie Kate Thompson, 75, formerly of Charles Town, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at Shenandoah Nursing Home in Charles Town.
Born Jan. 18, 1924, in Kingsport, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Mary Elizabeth Kaywood McDavid.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Carroll Allison, in 1957; and by her second husband, Everett Thompson.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn J. Thompson of Berryville, Va., and Betty L. Summers of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sons, Earl Allison of Woodsboro, Md., and James Allison of Aiken, S.C.; three sisters, Mary Pearl and Amanda Sanger, both of Jefferson, Md., and Olliemae Glover of Colorado; one brother, Elijah J. McDavid of Kearneysville, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel in Martinsburg. The Rev. William Crowe will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Mona Marquita Hairston, 69, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born June 25, 1930, in Echman, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Elder George and Marie Russell Giles.
She retired from Corning Glass Works after 27 years.
She was a member of Petra Worship Center.
She is survived by her husband, Earl R. Hairston Jr.; two daughters, Mona Linton of Martinsburg and Karen Hairston of Stamford, Conn.; six sons, Pastor Earl R. Hairston III, Arthur Hairston, Keith Hairston, Kirk Hairston, Kevin Hairston and Michael Hairston; four sisters, Harriet Ritchie of Indianapolis, Lillie Lababas of Berryville, Va., Beulah Giles and Freda Weatherspoon, both of Warren, Ohio; four brothers, George Giles Jr. of Warren, Percy Giles of Las Vegas, Elder Claiborne Giles of Canton, Ohio, and Jesse Giles of Martinsburg; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. Elder Claiborne Giles and the Rev. Janis Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
