RIPPON, W.Va. - Pauline Heflebower Heskett, 88, of Rippon, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.
Born Oct. 27, 1911, in Rippon, she was the daughter of the late H. Garland and Stella West Heflebower.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Heskett, in 1975.
She was a graduate of Charles Town High School in Charles Town, W.Va., and Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
She and her husband owned and operated Heskett's Grain and Feed Company in Rippon. She also served as the postmaster of the Rippon Post Office.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She was a former member of Charles Town Woman's Club and Rippon Farm Women's Club, and a member of Jefferson County Historical Society and Lawson Botts Chapter 261 United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She is survived by three sisters, Frances Heflebower and Lucille Heflebower, both of Rippon, and Margaret Cepelka-Hench of Charles Town; nieces; nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia H. Andrews; and two brothers, Daniel Heflebower and Garland Heflebower.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town. The Rev. Dee-Ann Dixon will officiate. Burial will be in Edgehill cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jessee J. Harold
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Jessee J. Sheetz Harold, 70, of Shepherdstown, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Canterbury of Shepherdstown.
Born April 26, 1929, in Mount Joy, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John H. and Bessie Blanche Douple Sheetz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Harold.
She was a graduate of Middletown (Pa.) High School and St. Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, Md.
She was a homemaker. Formerly, she was a school teacher.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Middletown and St. Peter's Catholic Church in Huber Heights, Ohio.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Harold of Fernley, Nev., and Jeanne Harold of Kearneysville, W.Va., and a son, David Harold of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Blondena Connelly Sheetz.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. T. Matthew Rowgh will officiate.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. at Mount Lebanon cemetery, 235 Maple St., Lebanon, Pa.

Granville C. Guiney
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Granville Chester Guiney, 77, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown.
Born Nov. 19, 1921, in Coatesville, Pa., he was the son of the late Clyde Chester and Anna Lydia Cox Guiney.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a daughter, Susan Hubert of Glen Mills, Pa.; a son, David A. Guiney of Cottonwood, Ariz.; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a close friend, Lois Penwell of Martinsburg; and a niece.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah Tomilson, Elsie Ogborn and Anna Martha Jordan; and three brothers, Leon Guiney, Norman Guiney and Raymond Guiney.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, W.Va. Pastor James Haskiell will officiate.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.
Cheryl R. Threadgill
HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Cheryl R. Threadgill, 30, of Harpers Ferry, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born Jan. 22, 1969, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of Donald Hite of Berkeley Station, W.Va., and Connie Files Hite of Martinsburg, W.Va.
She was a substitute teacher's aide for Jefferson County Schools.
She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Charles Town.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Teddy E. Threadgill; a daughter, Sarah Hope Threadgill at home; a son, Chad Clark Threadgill at home; a sister, Lisa Hemler of Bedington, W.Va.; two brothers, Kevin Hite of Martinsburg and Steven Hite of Falling Waters, W.Va.; her maternal grandmother, Jeannine Files of Martinsburg; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wayne Files, and her paternal grandparents, Izola and William Hite.
Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. Pastor Van Marsceau will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Donard Craig Williams, 42, of Hedgesville, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Born April 4, 1957, in Hebron, Ohio, he was the son of Donard L. and Josie Newberry Williams of Sebring, Fla.
He was a graduate of Thomas Wooton High School in Rockville, Md.
He was employed by the former Dixie Narco Inc.
He was a member of Independent Bible Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sharon Stefanko of Belvedere, S.C.; a brother, Brent Williams of Falling Waters, W.Va.; and three nieces.

Sarah L. Place
MIDDLEWAY, W.Va. - Sarah L. Place, 59, of Middleway, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.
Born Nov. 20, 1939, in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Beatrice White Fiddler.
She was a graduate of Charles Town High School.
She was a secretary for the West Virginia Department of Highways in the Jefferson County office. She previously worked for Blakeley Bank and Trust Co. in Ranson, W.Va.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, was church pianist and played the piano at Middleway United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Gary L. Place; two sons, William E. Crum and Donald E. Crum, both of Middleway; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Sue Place.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, Files Crossroads in Berkeley County, W.Va. The Rev. Robert Oertly will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery in Martinsburg, W.Va.
