BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Dodson S. Waugh, 78, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at his home.
Born Sept. 8, 1921, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Cecil W. Waugh and Nellie Adams.
He was owner/operator of Dodson Waugh Trucking in Berkeley Springs.
He was a Protestant.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Air Force in the European Theater.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Weber Waugh; two brothers, Charles E. Waugh of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Donald R. Waugh of Charles Town, W.Va.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Caroline Gibson, Francis Wills, Nancy Garner, Doris Grove and Jackie Waugh; and three brothers, William Waugh, Bobby Waugh and Jimmy Waugh.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Hennis Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Spohrs Cross Roads cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Post 60 Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Michael E. Trammell
INWOOD, W.Va. - Michael Edwin Trammell, 46, of Inwood, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Jan. 10, 1953, in Cheverly, Md., he was the son of Elsie Evelyn Weiss Trammell of Riverdale, Md., and the late Edwin Thomas Trammell.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Pennington of McClean, Texas, and Carolyn Griffin of Inwood, W.Va.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop James Fugate will officiate.
Arrangements are by Rosedale Funeral Chapel.
Jerry L. Netz
FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Jerry Lee Netz, 52, of Rt. 1, Box 57-B, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born April 5, 1947, in Appletown, he was the son of Juanita L. Thomas Netz of Hagerstown and the late William Elwood Netz.
He was owner-operator of J.L. Produce and Kar Kleen, both in Martinsburg, W.Va.
He formerly attended Boonsboro Bible Church.
He was a member of Moose Club, VFW and Eagles Club, all in Martinsburg.
He is survived by special friend, Linda A. Robinson; one daughter, Barbara Stevens of Landrum, S.C.; one stepdaughter, Tammie S. Wakefield of Charles Town, W.Va.; three sisters, Freda V. Burdette and Delight L. Reed, both of Martinsburg, and Joy L. Kauffman of Hagerstown; one brother, Wayne E. Netz of Hagerstown and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Burial will be in Boonsboro cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Julie B. Humeas
SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Julie Beatrice Humeas, 75, of Shenandoah Junction, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at her home.
Born July 20, 1924, in Dickson, Tenn., she was the daughter of Doss and Evie Lovett Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carson Humeas.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Chevy Chase (Md.) United Methodist Church. She attended Williams United Methodist Church, Shenandoah Junction.
She is survived by one daughter, Johanna Carswell of Richmond, Va.; one son, Joseph C. Humeas Jr. of Shenandoah Junction; one sister, Thelma Porter of Dickson; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Gardner and Nellie Mae Smith.
Memorial services were held Monday at Williams United Methodist Church, Shenandoah Junction. The Rev. Sandra Slazer officiated.
Her body went to the Willed Body Program at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Athens, Ohio.

Retha C. Agnone
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. Retha Clem Agnone, 86, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born April 14, 1913, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Grandison and Lydia Whitacre Clem.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Carmen Agnone.
She was employed as a beautician at Quantico Marine Base.
She was of the Catholic faith.
She was a member of The Catholic Daughters, Salvation Army Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 14.
She is survived by one stepson, Brother Peter Agnone of Maryknoll Missions, Nairobi Kenya; two sisters, Virginia Kimble and Viola Wilson, both of Martinsburg; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two stepsons, Francis Agnone and Robert Agnone; two sisters, Opal Brannon and Dora Butts and one brother, Raymond Clem.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Larry J. Carpenter
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Rev. Larry Joseph Carpenter, 63, of Shepherdstown, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Jan. 13, 1936, in Shepherdstown, he was the son of the late Harry Nathaniel Carpenter and Anna Laura Hamilton Carpenter Nick. He was raised by his late grandmother, Viola V. Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Romana McLaird Carpenter.
He was a 1954 graduate of Shepherdstown High School, attended Shepherd College and graduated from University of Minnesota.
He was a member of Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren where he was a licensed minister and chairman of the Board of Administration.
He was a pastor in South Dakota Lutheran Church. He was a respiratory therapist for 25 years and served as a minister for 45 years.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Jo Rickey of Ripley, Ohio and Lori Jean Walstrom of Coon Rapids, Minn.; one son, Darryl Carpenter of Shepherdstown; six sisters, Jane Nelson of Keedysville, Betsey Rinker, Joyce Painter, Shirley Martin, Thelma Bartlett and Mary Armstrong, all of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; five brothers, his twin brother, the Rev. Jerry Carpenter of Shepherdstown, Harry Nathaniel Carpenter Jr., of Sleepy Creek, W.Va., the Rev. Frankie Nick, John Nick, and Leon Nick, all of Harpers Ferry; three grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Nick and his stepfather, Lester Nick.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren, Sharpsburg. The Rev. Eddie Edmonds and the Rev. Tom Fralin will officiate. Burial will be in Faith Garden of Rest, New Effington, S.D., on Friday, Nov. 5.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
